I hate Valentine's day, especially the way is being celebrated in Nigeria...
here are my reasons:

1. I hate it, when I go any boutique, all I see is red
2. I hate it, when I see both males and female put on red
3. guys use the opportunity to get into ladies panties
4. the rate of STD will skyrocket on that day
5. I hate it, when some churches celebrate Valentine's day, last time I checked Valentine died because of a woman..so.why do some churches in Nigeria celebrate Valentine's day, cos in oversea, is not so

these are just few of reasons out of my long list ....
let me stop here for now, before people will label me a sadist

I don't see anything wrong in churches celebrating val's day.
It's just a way to discourage youths from engaging in activities that may change their story for bad. All because of 1 nite of pleasure.

Not really! Valentine is a saint in the catholic church and his feast day is 14th february which the catholic church celebrates mass to remember him and his life on earth.

It happens in every catholic church and it does not in any way discourage youths from engaging in any nefarious activities.

Leme correct u, saint valentine didn't die cos of a woman. He died for love. Later, I'll give u d full story. Leme also tell u d 2 reasons Nigeria Churches celebrate valentine's day. Firstly, saint valentine is a clergy man who deid for love in christiandom. Jst like I said above, I'll give d detail later. Secondly, churches knw dt youths go out on dat day n perharps, commit sins of funication, so they use it to keep them busy in d church so as to not to have chance n be going out .
