Truth About Head Covering For Christian Women by reedmund(f): 3:22pm On Feb 11, 2015
(Dearly beloved, this research was done as directed by the Lord in order to answer the question on matters of wearing scarves, shawls, headgears, hats, caps, etc, by Christian women and to correct those who judge wrongly. God expects us to rightly divide the word of truth. These days the pastors just read the bible to us without finding out the will of God about the subject, thus causing confusion in the body of Christ. Please, this is a long post that should be read carefully. Remember, gold is never found on the surface. You must dig deep. Thank you for your time and God bless yousmiley

TRUTH ABOUT HEAD COVERING FOR CHRISTIAN WOMEN
Research by Rebecca Edmund
As directed by Jehovah God

According to 1 Corinthians 11, We are told to cover our "Head" not "Hair".

First of all, look at what Leviticus 10:6 says. It explains what it is to uncover the head.

Leviticus 10:6 KJV

"And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord hath kindled."

There, God was telling Aaron not to remove or shave his hair because his sons died. (Please read the first part in your Bible, Leviticus 10:1-6)

To uncover the head means to "cut your hair OR reveal the shape of your head".

Now, let's read the article below:

UNDERSTANDING THE “HEAD-COVERINGS” IN 1 CORINTHIANS 11 (REVISED 2014)

Posted on 14 May 2008 by Scott Shifferd Jr.

Are Christian women neglecting the command for head-coverings in church? Many believe that 1 Corinthians 11 teaches that women must wear garment head-coverings when practicing their faith around men. This text is about women praying and prophesying in the presence of men.

The text says, “But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering” (1 Cor 11:15). The covering is first hair in verse 15, and this covering is the glory of the woman. A woman’s hair is a glory given to her by God, and “woman is the glory of man” whereas man “is the image and glory of God” (1 Cor 11:7).

How can a woman have her head uncovered in public worship without shaming herself, man, and God? If a woman lacked her God-given covering of long hair, then her by other covering should cover her head with a shawl as though she has hair.

What is long hair? By a woman not letting her hair down, this was the same as having her hair cropped or shaved (1 Cor 11:5–6). By not letting her hair down, women claim authority over God, Christ, and man by rejecting her God-given glory. With hair being the glory of women, the Christian woman should let her hair down in subordination to God’s order of headship and thereby glorified God, Christ, and man. The Scriptures make these affirmations clear.

Remember that God instructed the Christian women in 1 Timothy 2:9–15 to dress modestly not adorning their hair with braided hair with gold and pearls. The passage is clear that this behavior was immodest and insubordinate. By not letting the hair hang down, women dishonor God’s headship that man is head of woman. By braiding the hair up, women were or appeared rebellious to the birthright of men to lead and teach.

In 1 Peter 3:1-6, Peter also applied the decorating of hair to a wife’s subordination to her husband, whereas she would not insubordinate by arranging her hair adorned with gold and pearls. See, this was their pagan custom that powerful women of authority would dress as though higher than others. Remember that women in this time led worship to Diana and Dionysus where women could exercise power (Morton, “Deceiving Winds”). Apparently, some Christian women still arranged and adorned their hair upon their heads and did not let their long hair hang down showing the glory of woman and God’s headship (1 Cor 11:15). The Spirit of Christ taught through the Apostles that a woman’s hair was to hang down in such a way that is modest and glorified herself, her husband, and God’s headship.

If there was contention, the Apostle Paul concluded that the churches of God have no such custom of women praying and prophesying with heads uncovered (1 Cor 11:16). Christians are to present themselves as humble and respectable to God by glorifying God first contrary to local practices of presenting social authorities.

Today, long hair is still a woman’s glory from God despite that short hair or arranged hair shows no loyalty or claim to pagan society. Yet, such hair whether short, elaborately arranged, or decoratively with costly jewelry is a dishonor to the hair that God gave for a woman’s glory. Such behavior is disrespectful to God and to the headship of men leading women through example and service.

Consider what James B. Coffman had to say about a woman’s hair being her covering:

“Verse 4
Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoreth his head.

Having his head covered…
Here is where the misunderstanding of this passage begins. This clause, as rendered in the popular versions, is commentary, not Bible. As Echols noted:

‘“Having his head covered” is a commentary, not a translation. Lenski translated the sense correctly: ‘having something down from his head.’ What the ‘something’ is is neither stated nor implied in 1 Corinthians 11:4.

The logical understanding of this would refer it to ‘long hair,’ being long enough to hang down from the head, as clearly indicated by the apostles’ words a moment later: ‘If a man have long hair, it is a dishonor to him’ (1 Corinthians 11:14).

The ancients accepted Paul’s dictum on this and went so far as to define the length of hair that was considered an infraction of Paul’s words.

‘The hair of the head may not grow so long as to come down and interfere with the eyes … cropping is to be adopted … let not twisted locks hang far down from the head, gliding into womanish ringlets.’

Significantly, the words ‘hang far down’ strongly resemble Paul’s words ‘having something down from his head.’ The above is from Clement of Alexandria and was written in the second century.

The notion that Paul in this place referred to the [Hebrew: tallith] (shawl), or [Greek: yarmelke] (skull cap) worn by Jewish worshipers is refuted by the fact that the Greek New Testament does not indicate in this verse an artificial covering of any kind. This does not mean, however, that Paul would have approved of the use of either in Christian worship. ‘For Paul such a covering probably symbolized that the Jewish male continued in spiritual darkness, from which Christians had been liberated.’ We may therefore interpret this verse as a simple admonition that it was a disgrace for any long-haired Christian male to participate in praying and prophesying; and this interpretation certainly harmonizes with verse 14. History has certainly vindicated this view; because universal human behavior has departed from it only in isolated instances and for relatively very short periods of time” (emp. added).

Referring to coverings in verse 5, Coffman wrote,

“With her head unveiled…
The word here rendered ‘unveiled’ is [Greek: akatakaluptos]. ‘There is no intrinsic meaning in this word which suggests either the covering material or the object covered; it is simply a general word.‘ (See under 1 Corinthians 11:15.) Only in 1 Cor. 11:15 does Paul mention any kind of garment ([Greek: peribolaion]) and even there he stated that the woman’s hair took the place of it.’ [Katakaluptos] means covered completely. [Akatakaluptos] means not completely covered. Thus again, the passage falls short of mentioning any kind of garment. To suppose that Paul here meant ‘mantle’ or ‘veil’ or any such thing is to import into this text what is not in it. We have seen that he was speaking of ‘hair’ in 1 Cor. 11:4; and that is exactly what he is speaking of here. ‘Not completely covered’ would then refer to the disgraceful conduct of the Corinthian women in cropping their hair, after the manner of the notorious Corinthian prostitutes; which, if they did it, was exactly the same kind of disgrace as if they had shaved their heads. It is crystal clear that Paul is not speaking of any kind of garment; because he said in 1 Cor. 11:15, below, ‘For her hair is given her instead of a covering.'” (emp. added).

David Lipscomb addressed this very subject saying,

“I understand that long hair serves as a veil or token of her subjection to authority; and if she has not long hair, she must cover her head when she approaches God in worship. I understand this to refer to her approach to God in private or in public assembly when others lead in worship. Many interpret this to mean that she is to do these things when she leads in public worship, but the Scripture says nothing of this” (Q & A, emp. added).

Within this previous context of hair being the “covering”, Lipscomb concluded this statement, “We understand verse 16 to say that the churches of God have no such custom as the women appearing icn worship with uncovered or shorn heads.” The expectation was for women to have hanging hair in that society to show honor to the headship from Christ to God, man to Christ, and woman to man.

Still, some may ask about verses 5-6. These verses seem to imply that not covering with a garment for a covering is like a woman’s hair being cropped or shaved. A literal translation is,

“But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered [Gr. without hanging hair] dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved. For if a woman is not covered [without hanging hair], let her also be cropped. But if it is shameful for a woman to be cropped or shaved, let her be covered [with hanging hair]” (1 Cor. 11.5-6).”

Coffman said in agreement,

“If Paul meant ‘hair,’ why did he use the word ‘covered’? The answer is that in the vocabulary of the Old Testament ‘to uncover the head’ was to shave off the hair. When Nadab and Abihu sinned (Leviticus 10:1ff), God commanded Aaron not to ‘uncover his head’ in mourning at their death; and this meant not to cut off his hair (the customary sign of mourning). Job shaved his head when he learned his children were dead (Job 1:20). Many examples of this usage could be cited” (emp. added).

“If it is a shame to a woman to be cropped or shaven, let her be covered” clearly refers to a covering of hair as seen in 1 Corinthians 11:15, “And if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her long hair is given to her for a covering.“

What about verse ten’s reference to angels saying, “because of the angels“? Verse ten is referring to authority. This scripture shows how women take authority on her head toward God and man. The woman, who prophesies, receives revelation from God through angels to prophesy (Heb 2:2, Rev 1:1) and the woman has her prayers delivered by angels (Rev 8:3-4). This instruction has to do with the woman’s service in prayer and teaching before God. She is to serve with apparent respect and modesty. Therefore, “every woman praying or prophesying with her head uncovered dishonors her head” (1 Cor 11:5).

By not covering her head, the Christian woman dishonors herself being that God created her as the glory of man and in the image of God. Remember verse 3, “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.” The woman is subordinating to the man by her modesty and covering. Her hair hanging down is her glory for she is the glory of man. This is how the Christian woman honors the headship of God, Christ, and man.

End.

See what my student saw:

[2/10, 10:24 PM] GabrielLorbee: Jesus also showed me a woman but only her head I saw and it was back,I saw how she packed her hair backward and it seems she permed the hair. It was a bit long but she didn't hold it with anything like ribbon or rubber ring.

[2/10, 10:24 PM] GabrielLorbee: I think He wanted to put me clear on the aspect of "covering".

I Once read about a woman who saw how the women wore their hair beautifully in Heaven. She commented and Jesus responded by saying "The hair is the veil I gave to women. They must take care of it".

Here is another explanation my Hebrew Elder Friend shared with me:

A n in-depth Spirit look at the subject, in Yahshua's name...The Believing Women’s Devotional Head Covering... ATTENTION BRIDE! 2/10/15 A Sermon By: Pastor John W. Thompson In the first epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthian Church (“With all that In every place call upon the name of Yahshua Messiah our Saviour. . .“ I Cor. 1:2.) are divine ordinances, given by inspiration of the Kodesh Holy Spirit, to be practiced by the believers. In chapter eleven, verse two, he commends them for having kept those ordinances which he had given them at some earlier time. It appears that the assembly or body of Yahshua had drifted into worldliness and carnality in some respects, and therefore, it became necessary for Paul to reprove and rebuke them, and to re-instruct them on several points; Inasmuch as the obedience of some and the disobedience of others had resulted in divisions. That the teaching and wearing of the Believing woman’s devotional head covering during prayer and worship was being neglected (or rejected), or was perhaps not emphasized enough due to a lack of understanding, is clearly seen In verses three through sixteen. It is clearly evident from verse sixteen that there were those among the Corinthians who resisted this teaching as unnecessary. We also have with us in our day many who likewise operate in the spirit error. At this time let us turn to Ch. 14:37, “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or Spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of Yahveh.” Further, for the sake of those who insist that it is “tradition,” we are in agreement: Let us read II Thess. 2:15, “Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.”.. If any man seem to be contentious...,” he may contend with these Scriptures. In these first sixteen verses of I Corinthians, chapter eleven, Paul teaches the divine relationship of woman to man, man to Messiah, and Messiah to Yahveh. He states, “But I would have you know, that the head of every man Is Messiah; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Messiah is Yahveh.” In this passage lies a deep mystery. This headship is a principle that is the basis of cooperative work and all relationships between the parties. The headship, or the principle of the headship of man over woman, issues forth from the relationship that exists between Yahveh and Messiah. The principle is in force in heaven eternally, and on earth since the creation of man and woman. The violation of this principle between Yahveh and Messiah would bring confusion in heaven, and its violation in Christian society on earth brings nothing less. Yahshua said, “I and my Father are one” but He also said. “My Father is greater than I.” The Believing woman finds in Messiah her equality 2 with man, yet she finds a position of subordination in matters of authority. As Messiah is not dishonored by being subject to Yahveh, so woman is not dishonored by being subject to man. This principle is stated in verses 4-7, where Paul says that man ought not to wear a veil while praying or prophesying, for that would dishonor Messiah, his invisible head, because he is the image and glory of Yahveh. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head unveiled dishonoreth her head, (or man) who is visible and bodily present; hence the visible sign or veiling on her head. (Nearly all modern translations including the revised version. use the term veil In place of covering.) In I Cor. 11:13 the position of woman in the Saviour is so plainly taught that most everyone can understand that a separate veiling is taught to denote the Spiritual relationship to man in the Saviour. Then Paul uses the natural covering as a means of supporting his teaching of women wearing a veil, by stating, “Does not nature itself teach you?” It teaches the veiling by women having received by nature the principle of long hair, and man to have his hair cut short. Thus nature teaches the covering. In place of destroying the first thirteen verses of I Cor. 11, it establishes both the natural and the Spiritual relation between man and woman in the Saviour. Sometimes we are told that verse 16 says, “We have no such custom” but may we note Paul refers to the “custom’ of women praying or prophesying without their heads veiled, this was different than the other assemblies of Yahveh. It would seem the height of absurdity that Paul, the wise master builder (Ch. 3:10), should expend the space of thirteen verses to establish a point and then say, in effect, “Every man as he pleases.” We might ask, is not this for married women only? Not unless only married women are in the Saviour, or only married women are to pray or prophesy. We might ask, who should wear a veiling? The answer is, since all women, married or single, wear by nature the natural covering, so all Believing women, married or single, should wear the covering or veiling as taught in the Bible. When should this veiling be worn? The answer is whenever you pray or prophesy, at home in your devotions, or since you are in the Saviour, and are to show your relationship to man, and Messiah, there is hardly a time when this in some way or other may not be shown. “For in him we live and move and have our being” Acts 17:28. Since all of life and all things become a sacred stewardship, and a continual living sacrifice, “which is our reasonable service” Rom. 12:1-2, what type of veiling should this be? From the catacombs, and eastern churches, we learn that the 3 Believing women wore a veiling that covered the head and fell over the shoulders. It should cover the head much as the natural covering does, which is the hair. And should not the hair dress be consistent with Believers simplicity? The close parallel in the teaching indicates that the natural covering and the Spiritual covering should cover the same thing, the head. Yahveh forbids the wearing of a Believing woman’s veil, with shorn hair, because the shorn hair already shows that she is out of place in Yahveh’s natural order, since she is not in submission to man as such. How can she be in her place in Yahveh’s Spiritual order! Small coverings that do not cover properly, are not in keeping with Yahveh’s divine order and ordinance. All Believing women should endeavor to submit themselves into the natural order, and thus submit to Yahveh’s divine order. Many Christian groups formerly practiced the ordinance of the woman’s veiling. In fact It was practiced for 1900 years by the New Testament assembly. It is only during recent years that women began to worship with the head uncovered. The devotional covering should be worn out of conviction and faith in Yahveh’s Word and not merely because it is an assembly ordinance, else it will lose its Spiritual power and significance. The Assembly is held responsible for the maintenance of this ordinance. Please read: Matt. 7:21 and John 14:21,22,23. ***************************************** In Yahveh's Service: Pastor John the Elder SMYRNA

Points to Note
--------------------------
- The scarf, cap, hat, beret, shawl, gele, etc. are not what covers the head, but it is the hair that does the job of head covering.
- The hair is a natural covering for the head.
- The shawl is an artificial covering that covers the hair and head.
- Women must care for their hair because their hair is their glory.
1 Corinthians 11:15, “But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering”
- It is a shame for a woman to cut her hair low.
- It is a shame for a woman to shave her head. (If she shaves her head, she has totally removed her glory.)

(NB: The length of long hair for white women is different compared to the length of what African women have. The Lord is aware of this.)

Be led by the Spirit of God.
This post was created to explain 1 Corinthians 11 and to rightly divide it, but not to put a burden on anyone. If you have the Holy Spirit, you will learn to walk by Faith.

God wasn't referring to garment-covering for the head.

If it was garment,

Why did he make a cap for Aaron to wear for his priestly position?

POINT TO NOTE
Aaron wore his priestly Cap on short hair, Not long hair!

Here is a question the Holy Spirit asked me today:

"If a man comes home one day and realize his wife has cut her hair or shaved her head, won't he feel bad or dishonoured?"

"Disrespect" is another word for "dishonour".
Re: Truth About Head Covering For Christian Women by reedmund(f): 8:44pm On Feb 13, 2015
1 Corinthians 11:14-15 KJV

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

Here, Apostle Paul is saying even nature says it is good for a woman to have long hair, so the church is also saying it is a good thing.

"A man and a woman need not look alike. A man must look masculine while a woman must look feminine."

God has given us wisdom to separate a male appearance from a female one.

A man must look like a man.
A woman must look like a woman, beautiful and glorious.

Note:
cheesy The good news is this, a Christian will NOT go to hell on matters of traditions/customs. What takes one to hell are works of the flesh. God does not judge by physical appearances. He judges by the status of the heart.

Galatians 5:19-21 KJV

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Scriptures have made it clear that there are sins that do not lead to death (hell).

I John 5:17 NKJV
All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin NOT LEADING TO DEATH.

Romans 14:22-23 NKJV

Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he  does not eat from faith; FOR WHATEVER IS NOT FROM FAITH IS SIN.

WHAT TAKES YOU TO HEAVEN IS FOUND IN JOHN 3
John 3:3 KJV
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:3, 5 KJV
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:16-18 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

God is seeking a sweet relationship with His children. Christianity is not about observing rules and regulations. It is about having faith in God. "Without faith it is impossible to please God, even if you follow all the traditions". You must come to God in faith. You must seek to hear His voice. Jesus said "My sheep hears my voice". You should seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Your Christian walk will be very easy when you come to know the Holy Spirit. Seek the gift of praying in tongues. With tongues you will enter into a new realm with God.

Head covering is a gift and those who obey accordingly will be rewarded.

The Christian churches say we African women don't know what
the bible is saying about this subject, and it's the reason we keep wearing hats and scarves. Some laugh at the ignorance.
May God help us in Africa to know the truth. The covering with garment instead of hair (given for a covering) is
practiced more in Nigeria than the rest of Africa. The Lord has
been dealing with us based on our faith level. However, we
must continue to respect our church doctrines and stop
criticizing those who don't use hats or scarves, yet even those
ones are not perfect in application. Everyone must submit to
the Holy Spirit. He will lead and guide you to all truth about
your personal walk.

If a woman cuts her hair, it is the same as if she is shorn.

If a woman has long hair and does not cover it with a garment, is it the same as if she is shorn? How can you have an open long hair and still look shorn? is this reasonable?

How can God say the hair is a woman's glory and yet want the woman to cover her glory with a garment?

Should a woman cover her glory, especially in church?

Subject: The Apostles and the Head Covering Seminar Dream - A Must read !!

On Monday, 05 August 2013, before 6am I had a dream.
In the dream I was attending a seminar titled " Head Covering" Seminar.
Standing in the congregation was myself and four other women, in front of me. I didn't turn back to see if there were any women standing behind me.
We were all standing and paying attention to the facilitators of the seminar, who were all standing on the pulpit.
Inside the building looked like a church and had modern electrical light fixtures.
The facilitators of this seminar were all the Apostles of old.
The main facilitator was a bold man, and he was of a huge stature, compared with the rest of the Apostles. They were all men.
In my spirit's understanding during my dream, I understood that Apostles James, John ,Paul, Peter, Nathaniel, Andrew, Timothy and all of Jesus' Apostles were the ones standing on the pulpit. They had ancient clothes on, and guess what ? they all had stern looks on their faces. None of them was smiling.
Their spokesperson -this same bold man- spoke to me and the other four women, thus:
" it seems that the women in your generation are confused on how to properly cover their heads in church".
I was shocked ! Because even in my dream, I knew who I was, I knew my name, I knew I lived in the 21st century, I knew what year it was - 2013 -, I knew that I lived in Australia, and I knew that almost all the churches in Australia and the Western world don't encourage their female church goers/ female Christians to practice the head covering tradition anymore.
In fact, most Christians in these end times would despise and/or pick disputes with female Christians who choose to cover their hair for religious reasons.

So in the dream I said to myself that " what am I hearing and what am I seeing ? Is this a joke or what ?"

The main speaker was saying that this is not a matter to be taken lightly, and that a woman's hair should be covered with a head covering in such a way that her hair must not be revealed to the exterior, while she is in church.

He said that half-covering of the head was not allowed. It was as if this Apostle read my mind, because I was just about to raise my hand and ask him if partial head-covering was allowed. Then he called one of us women from the congregation and gave a demonstration on how the Christian woman's head should be properly covered in church.
He courteously offered her a chair to sit on, then he took a scarf and gently tied it on her head.

Oh yes !! he tied a scarf on this sister's head, exactly the way the Deeper life Christian sisters in Nigeria do tie their head scarves.

When I woke up, I told my husband and children about the dream.
Then my husband said to me, that " well, they - God's messengers - have shown you something that Christians these days would call a controversy. But there's no controversy now, its been clearly revealed to you, and this has been authorised by God in His word."

So, no matter the persecution from fellow believers in Christ Jesus, I must be most unwise to draw back, after such a privileged revelation from God.

Points to ponder:

1. In this dream, the Apostles that stood on the pulpit during this Head Covering seminar, all had stern looks on their faces. I knew this matter was and is so serious that none of them was smiling.

2. In my dream, I didn't ask the main spokesman his name, he might have been Apostle Peter or Apostle Paul - the actual writer of 1 Corinthians 11.

3. In the original Greek and Hebrew Bibles, the Greek and Hebrew words that Apostle Paul used for 'Head Covering' in 1 Corinthians Chapter 11 from verses 4 to 13, are different from the Greek and Hebrew words he used for 'Covering' in 1 Corinthians Chapter 11 verse 15.

Yours sincerely in Christ Jesus.

Thanks for your message. Perhaps it's a message for you. I don't think I can form a doctrine from a personal Revelation. Dreams usually comes through our many imaginations. "Stern look" denotes condemnation. Scripture says there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. The just shall live by faith. So, perhaps it's a message for you based on your beliefs. In spiritual discernment, i have learned that not everything in the dream is of the right Spirit. Not all angels we see in dreams are from God. So I prefer to be led by the Spirit. Also, if you attend a ministry that emphasizes on artificial head coverings, then please there's no point disobeying the authority. After all, God promised to give us pastors after His own heart.

With Love & Blessings,

IDENTIFYING CHRISTIAN WITCHCRAFT

I have come to the following check list, based upon years of prayer, discernment and observations of people's behavior. This of course is not all encompassing, but it manifests one main branch of deception.

In the following list, you may substitute the phrase “obedience to what you hear & see" for obedience to a voice, dream, vision, revelation, supernatural experience, etc.

Christian witchcraft is present:

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) demands its own way.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) demands others to conform.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) uses force to change another's opinion.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) uses manipulation to change another's opinion.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) uses control to change another's opinion.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) uses soul power, control, power struggles, domination, intimidation, argument, debate to change another person.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) creates laws in which to govern ones life that bypasses love for God, for others and for self.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) places the following of rules over relationships with people.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) causes a baby Christian to stumble.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) causes someone else condemnation for not obeying.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) changes the rules midstream.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) contains a stronghold of control, over the listener or his behavior.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) promotes dominating rather than loving the weaker brother.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) does not recognize or yield, or respect or honor another’s free will or freedom of choice.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) speaks of master and slave relationship with the Lord in place of husband and wife.

• When obedience (to what you hear & see) says rules are more important than offending people.

• When following (what you hear & see) defies your own discernment, instinct, wisdom.

• When following (what you hear & see) places seeking a title, ambition, or leadership over servant hood and graciousness in sitting at the feet of others.

• When following (what you hear & see) places seeking one’s own personal will and decision over the will of the group.

• When following (what you hear & see) accuses when exposing the truth.

• When following (what you hear & see) has no mercy when exposing the truth.

BOTTOM LINE: Christian Witchcraft is evident in what you hear & see when God's love is not present or applied.

WORD TO PONDER EXPOSING CHRISTIAN WITCHCRAFT

I have opened your eyes to observe, perceive and finally understand the spirit of witchcraft that has infiltrated and plundered many of My people. This deception has grown deeper than mere controlling personalities. This spirit masquerades as My Holy Spirit and I grieve over many who have listened to the voice of such, to follow its commands. They believe this intruder is the voice of the Good Shepherd.

Listen and heed the following. For in its wisdom is the exposure of such a spirit. Once you see this operate in a person, you will forever have your eyes and ears opened to know the truth. The truth shall set you free and answer many unanswered questions.

A spirit of witchcraft demands obedience to a voice. The voice demands its own way and demands others to conform. Controlling is the primary manifestation of such a spirit and it orders compliance. When others do not conform, anger, intimidation, judgment, condemnation, accusation and criticism are manifest. There is no mercy or yielding from a controlling spirit. In contrast, My Spirit recognizes, respects and honors another’s free will and freedom of choice. Rather than seeking to dominate, it bows low to love and heal and minister. Remember the voice of the Good Shepherd leads the way, He does not push and drive.

A controlling spirit is driven to be the center of attention. It is driven by ambition to seek a title and leadership. In contrast, My Spirit bows low to serve the needs of the hurting and weak. My Spirit is contrasted by loving servanthood and humility. My Spirit recognizes My good gifts even in the weakest vessels, and is blessed to sit at the feet of others.

Observe the words of such a one, for it speaks of master and slave relationship in place of a loving Husband for His wife. It creates structures and rules in which to govern ones life or ones fruit. It promotes following rules over relationships with people. And when the rules fail, they change in midstream, defying all logical memory of past standards once enforced.

The knowledge of such a spirit is to be used for prayer over the person taken captive by such a one. Yes, use your kingdom keys of binding and loosing to take authority over this spirit as it manifests. And love the person back to health. Remember a servant of the Lord is not to argue, but be gentle to teach those who oppose the truth. Through prayer and loving attention, their hearts may melt and come into repentance, seeing the truth.

“I assure you, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber! For a shepherd enters through the gate. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep hear his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they recognize his voice. They won't follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don't recognize his voice.” (John 10:1-5 NLT)

PRAYING WITHOUT CHRISTIAN WITCHCRAFT

Some Christians ignorantly use their authority wrongly by using soul power and influence over others, through prayer and the power of decree. Christian witchcraft is when one uses decree and authority to override people’s will. Be very careful about how you pray over people.

Mostly when I pray, it is when I hear something from the Lord, and then I pray into it. They are usually things where when I understand the season we are in, then I pray for the tools to get through it. They are things like courage, peace, understanding, guidance, revelation, help, protection, and the list goes on.

For example, I received a vision of a huge glistening white ocean liner. It was made of the identical material that I have seen before that was armor on God’s army. I saw the ship had been at the dock and was now finally moving forward towards the bay. So prayers into that would be, letting go of the past and what is at the dock, the spiritual tools of direction to go, the provision while on board, the weather, the water, everything needed to take the journey etc, etc.

If I hear something specific about a person as to what they are doing, I pray more specifically for the tools that I am inspired they need. If I know the person needs dominion taken, I bind the enemy and break off the assignments against that person then I counterbalance what has been broken off with the opposite spirit. For instance if the enemy plans death, then I bind and break it and loose abundant life. If he plans a lie, then I use my authority and then loose truth. This stops the opposition and looses the person to move into what they are needing to move forward in God. Sometimes when I take authority against the opposition, I pray scriptures against the enemy and on behalf of the person, declaring His Word to be released into their lives. If I have heard a rhema Word about the person sometimes I release that as a counterbalance against the demonic attempt.

Matt 6:6-13 NKJV

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

"Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come., Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

THE ROOT OF BITTERNESS & FALSE PROPHESY

Quotes From Bob Jones Tape (Prophesy)

[This was from a Word to Everett WA.]

Bob Jones

http://www.bobjones.org/

• There is a religious darkness over this area. I want men that will bore a hole through the 2nd heaven. To bring light down again. When He brings light, you got to keep boring. The Lord showed me that you are trying to press through with a dull bit. The angels were pushing the enemy back so that you can break through. They are not going to help you break through, they are pushing it back so you can break through. It is a partner, a marriage. Once you bore that hole through, the 3rd heaven, revelation, the light of God. There’s going to be a breakthrough. I’ve seen the hole punched.

• I’ve never seen the root of bitterness come out as easily as it does here. Always when there is the root of bitterness, there is all kinds of false prophesy. And deception in prophesy. The delusion of grandeur goes right into it. There were people that were anointed years ago and then they got bitter and what they are bringing now is bitter waters. If there isn’t a repentance there, they are going to miss it and become the persecutors of the anointing. So what they will actually be using is sorcery or foolish prayers. You can kill a serpent tongue in people by showing it to them. Those that love Christ will cut it off themselves. It is time that the teachers show them.

• The snake of religion is legalism, opinion, judgment, debate and criticism. Christianity is mercy and grace.

POEM: DISCERN THE HEARTS

From out of the mouth, the heart does spring

Bitter or sweet, words have drawstrings.

Anger once simmered now does boil.

Resentment nurtured now hate toils.

Be careful of what words are pure

For mouths speaking have great lure.

Listen well and you will know

How to discern all that’s in tow.

Birds of a feather flock together.

Listen to their songs of weather.

Some are shrill, some are sweet,

Some are quiet, nice and neat.

You will discern the spirit inside

When you listen to what resides.

Heart’s with wounds, heart’s grown cold,

Hearts with control, all too bold.

Hearts are manifest through their words.

Pray for them and what is heard.

Your prayers will heal all gone awry

I hear Your prayers over hearts that sigh.

Heb 12:15 AMP

Exercise foresight and be on the watch to look [after one another], to see that no one falls back from and fails to secure God's grace (His unmerited favor and spiritual blessing), in order that no root of resentment (rancor, bitterness, or hatred) shoots forth and causes trouble and bitter torment, and the many become contaminated and defiled by it—

Have you read these texts in the Bible?

1) As many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.

2) It is the spirit that bears witness with our spirits that we are the Sons of God.

So, if you are led by the Holy Spirit, you don't need to wait for the last day to understand TRUTH.

I just posted a new topic on "How to know if a spirit is from God or Satan". Perhaps you should check it out.

you simply don't know what it mean to be led of the spirit. You think because your mind deceived you into thinking women should not cover their head in worship then you are spiritual. If the scripture that says women should cover their head wasn't relevant, y did the holyghost allow it to be placed in the Bible. My screen is bad, else I would have told you the SPIRITUAL relevance of covering the head during worship. The spirit that spoke to you is not the holyghost.i have met many of your type.

All my life I thought the doctrine of covering with scarves was the true one until a couple months ago when I stumbled upon 1 corinthians 11. We think we are practicing christianity when in actual sense we are practicing hypocrisy because we condemn those churches who care less about head scarves not knowing that we are actually the ones with carnal knowledge of the bible. That chapter was clear enough.

@ reedmund,

Keep promoting theological researches that seek to shove aside clear Scriptural precepts. The most worrying aspect of your epistle is your ascription of it to the HOLY SPIRIT. I am very worried for you. Tread carefully! Any dream, vision or revelation that does not align with Scriptures should be dumped in the wastebasket of falsehood.

I don't see what it will cost a female to cover her hair with something for just a few hours or even minutes of prayer in church or at home. Few hours or minutes! What will it cost you? Please tell me.

We have some controversial doctrines in the Christiandom. I believe that in the nearest future the truth will come out.
Compare the Muslim women with that of the christian, you will discover that Christian women are not sure of what they are doing.

I mean you cannot tell a Muslim lady to remove the head covering because of the rules in the office, they will tell you, NO! Way. The reverse is the case in Christianity, We are the one encouraging n.akedness in the name of Fashion. It is like the Christian women are obsessed with exposing the hair.
May God help the Church and cause a revival of holiness within and without among christian women, ladies and girls.

The reverse is the case in Christianity, We are the one encouraging n.akedness in the name of Fashion. It is like the Christian women are obsessed with exposing the hair.
May God help the Church and cause a revival of holiness within and without among christian women, ladies and girls.

Soundly expressed in plain words. Nice.

We have some controversial doctrines in the Christiandom. I believe that in the nearest future the truth will come out.

my brother, this generation of Christians are just strange. the holyghost has thought me why a woman should cover her hair in worship. while the op is claiming the same holyghost bthouht her not to cover her hair. my screen is bad, else I would have countered the op well..

Holy Ghost thought you what is plainly written? The bible interprets itself and it's simple except we're going into deeper word meaning, the scripture is clear

A Kingdom that has no rules is a Kingdom of brutish outlaws. When did head covering become a gift? I won't be surprised at your opinions on homosexuality, abortion, divorce, pornography, masturbation, and so many other issues.

Madam, madam, madam... Quit twisting the Bible to suit your thoughts.

Why do you think Christians should continue keeping rules when or if they have the Holy Spirit? I don't think it's about options but what does the word says? Mr. A says, I was taught of the Spirit and Mrs B says the same thing, is the Holy Spirit divided? It's the word the confirms the TRUTH. What does the word says?
