Y'all are still at I see. I can't wait for Bulldozer Karma to be fully on my side. As it is, she just hates Bond. I want her to love Bourne. And those who go on about how Bond saves the world. The question was never who was more valuable to the world. It was Bond vs. Bourne. Doesn't it just piss you off when MI:5's top agent goes around saying; "The name's Bond, James Bond" It proves he doesn't ever have worthy adversaries. Jason Bourne would never do that cuz he could be dead as a result. I mean it's like walking up to a desk in a hotel and saying, "My name's Jason Bourne. Are the cross-hairs on me now?" As Spike would say, Shior! |

Re: Bond Vs Bourne by SisiJinx: 3:50pm On Jan 28, 2009 |
Ooooooh Saltiness abounds. Here's what that small wannabe spy told the Maimi Herald about the Incomparable JAMES BOND!!
Somebody is intimidaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaated by Bond's Swagger!!!!. And the funny thing is Bond prolly doesn't even know Bourne exists |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by JeSoul(f): 8:08pm On Jan 28, 2009 |
''They could never make a James Bond movie like any of the Bourne films,'' Damon says scornfully. ``Because Bond is an imperialist, misogynist sociopath who goes around bedding women and swilling martinis and killing people. He's repulsive. Sisi Jinx:Lol, gurl you call that swagger? I call that legitimate reasons for the CDC to perform numerous health hazard tests on Bond before he is allowed within 100miles of the US Sisi Jinx: well that would make him the ONLY clueless ONE!!! cos the rest of the world has sat up and taken notice of the handsome, no-nonsense savior of the spy-genre All HAIL JASON BOURNE!!! and Bondy doesn't know becos he's a stuck up brat caught up in his own world and cannot see beyond the brigde of his nose |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by KarmaMod(f): 10:06pm On Jan 28, 2009 |
Do they even wear panties talkless of panty hose. He IS repulsive and utterly lame |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by MadMax1(f): 10:50am On Jan 29, 2009 |
vescucci: You call that putting up a Bourne defence? The question became who was more valuable to the world when the word VS made an entrance. How does "Bond,James Bond" prove he doesn't have worthy adversaries? I don't see it. Make me. The guy's been up against villains eensy weensy Bourne can only dream about. Bourne said that? He feels that threatened by Bond? How petty. Why doesn't Bond go about making catty remarks about Bourne? He's the better man.In every way. As for Bond movies that are better than Bourne's,I could name ten off the bat. Casino Royale (2006) The Spy Who Loved Me Thunderball Tommorrow Never Dies Goldeneye From Russia With Love Live and Let Die Dr No Goldfinger The World is Not Enough For Your Eyes Only Ooops! That's more than ten! What can I say? You'd be hard-pressed to find a Bond movie that's not better than Bourne's. Bond's an Icon. Whatever you say, Bourne is not in his league, and y'all know it in your guilty little Bourne-totin' hearts. |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by spikedcylinder: 1:34pm On Jan 29, 2009 |
Mad_Max: How can you compare any of those movies to Bourne? The Spy Who Loved Me? Are you kidding me? Even the mojo version, "The Spy Who bleeped Me" is better than that movie. I will bite off the head of anyone who asks how I know the mojo version. |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by MadMax1(f): 2:01pm On Jan 29, 2009 |
spikedcylinder: Porn Maharaji !!!!! My sides o I have almost been knackered of laughter this spiked no go kill persin Yes o, every one of those movies was better than Bourne's. And you have to reckon with the fact that a lot of them were made way back when ,and were still better flicks. As for the present, you seriously want to compare Casino Royale to any Bourne movie? Ah begi. |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by vescucci(m): 2:28pm On Jan 29, 2009 |
@Max. I concede Craig is a better agent (probably the most realistic Bond ever) but he's somewhat a deviant for what Bond represents, i.e. Moving Skirt radar etc. Seeing that there's been only one Bourne and there'll probably be no more Bourne movies, za zifference is clear, mi lady. And that bit about Bond not knowing Bourne. That only stands to reason cuz Bourne represents his profile as a SPY and doesn't go about introducing himself. I mean what kinda spy'd that make him if the whole civilised and probably the uncivilised world knew of him and the latest hotel he lodged in and how many martini's he had and whether or not he ate his olive. You get the overall picture. May I suggest you Bond people read GM Ludlum's trilogy for a better perspective. For vanity sake, I'll permit myself this little pleasure and do a roll call. Kay9, Spike (Yikes) and hopefully Karma (double yikes!) in one corner. Sisi and Maxie in another corner. Statistics people. Oh, and don't forget to add lil ol me in the winning corner. Hehe |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by MadMax1(f): 3:21pm On Jan 29, 2009 |
I read Ludlum's trilogy aeons ago.The Bourne movies follow the book's plot very loosely indeed. Right now I don't recall anything they've in common except the name Bourne and the amnesia. Man, those books were good. |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by spikedcylinder: 3:31pm On Jan 29, 2009 |
Mad_Max: Why can I not compare Casino Royale to Bourne? Ok, I admit, Casino Royale was good but Bourne would NEVER wait for anyone to knacker his balls like that, lai lai! Who is eran iya (suffer suffer meat)? vescucci: Ves, why na? Why are you "yiking" after my name? |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by KarmaMod(f): 4:34pm On Jan 29, 2009 |
Casino Royale (2006) All garbage |

Re: Bond Vs Bourne by KarmaMod(f): 5:18pm On Jan 29, 2009 |
I doubt Bale would be Bond. He's hardly a LovePeddler in his movies Bourne definitely has the better theme song. Moby's Extreme Ways? Lovely jam |

Re: Bond Vs Bourne by vescucci(m): 3:44pm On Jan 30, 2009 |
And Bob Marley sang; you can fool some people sometimes but you can't fool all the people all the time, or something like that. If Karma were on Bond people's side, she'd be "short three" i.e. she'd discredit all y'all plus one extra in case Doyin13 comes back. Karma hates Bond so much she doesn't even need to like Bourne (which she does). |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by doyin13(m): 9:10pm On Jan 30, 2009 |
I mean, are you guys still on this Bond v Bourne issue. . . . The ultimate mark of respect nay awe by Ludlum himself is giving his agent the same initials as Ian Fleming's. . . . |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by vescucci(m): 11:24am On Feb 02, 2009 |
Touche. I've actually thought of this but was hoping no one else would make the connection. But! That doesn't mean I concede anything. That's just one point for the opposition. At least we're fair in our camp. Bourne still rules. |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by spikedcylinder: 11:28am On Feb 02, 2009 |
Its also funny that the supposed caricature of James Bond seems to be better at the spy business thing. |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by MadMax1(f): 1:07pm On Feb 02, 2009 |
Hi My name is Karmamod Bale and I am a Bond-basher. When y'all ready to give credit where it's due, let me know. Better how?He isn't spying. He has an identity crisis and it all ends when he discovers himself. Bond is the ultimate spy, and you ladies know you like him, however much you protest. Karma has somehow managed to see all his movies. She wants to ruffle his soot-coloured hair and sip champagne from his shell-like ears. She wants to wear his tuxedos and fire his gun. OMG Doyin13! I never saw that! James Bond/Jason Bourne. Fantastic homage! |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by Lilbelle(f): 1:25pm On Feb 02, 2009 |
4me its BOND all d way . . .though i like d Bourne series (watchd 2/3) . . .twas d first time i heard my tiwa n tiwa spoken amng such calibre of movies. Karma, P-L-E-A-S-E if u r 2 badmouth movies it shldn't b any of d Bond movies & especially NOT Tomorrow Never Dies cos it aint anywhere near d word "garbage" |
Re: Bond Vs Bourne by JeSoul(f): 3:52pm On Feb 02, 2009 |
doyin13:nah I'd say Bondians are trying desperately to grasp onto straws and seeing connections where none exist But lets speculate that Ludlum did purposely use the JB initials, he probably did so to redeem the initials from the mud and shame that loose MI6er dragged it thru . . . and he brought about this redemption by creating a doper, realer, superdupa fly kick-ass agent You wan try? |

Re: Bond Vs Bourne by kay9(m): 12:04am On Feb 04, 2009 |
I heard someone say something about giving respect where it's due; fine, let's do it. Let's all stem our egos a little and separate spades from shovels. James Bond aka Agent 007 is an icon in the spy-movies genre; he's been around for decades, survived some really ugly - and I mean oooogg-leeey - depictions, and is the only make-believe spy with the legendary Licence To Kill. It is a fact, and nobody can take it away. Agent 007 is simply suave; he puts a certain finesse to the whole secret agent theme. Some folks think he's a bit effeminate, but Pierce Brosnam put that idea to rest with GoldenEye. Daniel Craig, the newest member of the 007 legacy, isn't bad either (compared to some really horrible predecessors that I can think of); he was a bit of an idiot in Casino Royale, but Quantum of Solace came out just fine. And these last two 007 installments prove that Mr. Bond sure as hell can kick ass - positively brutal, if you ask me. Kudos to him. Oh, and did I forget: the ladies just can't get enough of Mr. Bond! Or should I say, Mr. Bond just can't have enough of the ladies? Jason Bourne, on the other hand, is a relatively young entrant to the hero-spy world - lotsa folk before him: Bleep, Ethan Hunt (Mission: Impossible), etc - but in that short time, he has created a formidable reputation of being a no-nonsense secret-agent - the best kind of secret agent, if we will tell ourselves the truth. And Bourne had two extra qualities that endeared him to most spy-movie watchers (but not ALL ): 1. He tackled a severe case of amnesia AND the entire machinery of an arm of the CIA - and NEVER lost his wits for a second ("cucumber-cool", as my bros would say). 2. Jason Bourne was a man-alone; he was a dis-avowed agent, in the mold of Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt - he was framed-up, chased, and hunted by assassins as good as he was (this is something 007 has never experienced), yet Bourne always survived. He was like the proverbial cat with nine lives - the guy just WON'T die! Plus the guy was a regular gentleman - he fell in love like any ordinary guy, had his doubts about his woman, and in the end love won out - this makes his character more sincere, more factual, more REAL. Now, please folks, stand back and appraise these two guys; compare their histories, their strength of character, the cinematography and paparazzi behind them, their conformance to the roles they are supposed to portray - and my favorite - their reactions to personal loss (Craig upon losing Eva Green in Casino Royale, and Damon after losing Marie in The Bourne Supremacy). Compare all these, and HONESTLY say who's the better spy. The answer, as we all know deep down, is JASON BOURNE. Plus Bourne can kick Bond's ass any day |

Re: Bond Vs Bourne by kay9(m): 12:41am On Feb 04, 2009 |
C'mon doyin, thought we were being serious now. If we begin talk wetin 007 take style get, this thread no go contain am!! ~Sauron~: And what happens when the gadgets and toys are taken away? Pierce Brosnam already gave you the answer in Die Another Day - he came out of jail looking like a younger brother to Homo Erectus Bond went to the moon to save earth, abi? Sure. Say that long enough and you might even believe it, olodo!! |
