what goof? If not that our reasoning as nigerians has been so bastardized by our corrupt leaders that we can't see how the president's visit is connected to the robbery(not saying he perpetrated it).

Robbers of such calibre do not operate without solid information. How well do you think they can operate when they get info from the police themselves about how majority of their men will be at alert concerning the president's visit? Maybe these robbers have been studying the trend of mr president's visit and must have noticed how concentrated on him the nigeria police are whenever he visits any state, a thing they took advantage of.

It's just so sad that here in nigeria, we ignore little signs that might lead to the solving of big cases.

Illiterates everywhere.

Don't mind the dumb GEJites. They type before thinking like Abati.

That eye witness is the Joker.

I have driven from Gbagada to Lekki and i saw policemen (Route lining) all through 3rd mainland, Ikoyi, through Falomo and continuing into Awolowo Rd.

Just imagine how many police oficers would do that.

Beyond Route-Lining, whenever Mr. President is around, you will see policemen milling around some points at every half a kilometre or thereabout all over Lagos.

You are certainly among those illiterates everywhere! Is Jonathan the first president to have massive police presence whenever he goes visiting any state? Since when has the "protocol" that has been in existance since independence become a Jonathan problem? Its unfortunate that robbers seized the opportunity of his visit to Lagos to perpetrate their act! But putting the blame on our president is down right senseless!!! Fashola and co should tell us if the police guarding them were also withdrawn for Jonathan.

Everyday robbery occurs all over the country and the police wikk be no where to be found that im sure is also Jonathans fault?

Fashola is talking as if this is the first time the president is visiting Lagos state or any other state for that matter. Why haven't there been successful robbery attacks during those periods
Sometimes because of the desperation of our politicians they tend to leave their brains at home.
So all the other robbery attacks happening when GEJ did not visit Lagos state is whose fault exactly
But it's a pity that Fashola will never own up, for his goofs. this reminds me of the deportation saga, and till date Fashola or anybody in his government never apologized.

The little sign YOU have ignored is the absence of employment for Lagosians because Thief'nuibu cabal has ruined ths state for 16 years!

- IGR has increased over 34 times from N7.2 billion in 1999 to N246 billion in 2013.
- Has the number of PUBLIC schools, classrooms, teachers, administrators recruited ANNUALLY increased by 34 times
- Has the number of PUBLIC clinics and general hospitals, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, lab. technicians, cleaners, janitors, administrators, accountants etc RECRUITED annually also increased 34 times?
- Has the volume of TAP water and coverage of the entire Lagos state households and business premises with engineers, technicians, accountants, salesmen, bill collectors, monitors etc recruited ANNUALLY also increased by 34 times?
- Has the number of kilometres of FEEDER roads under Lagos state and its 57 LGAs and LCDAs being repaired, maintained and expanded by a factor of 34 since 1999?

These are the questions that reasonable people will ask in order to understand why the robbery in the first place.

We say & repeat that Lagos state shall not suffer Living in Bondage, Part 5.

There must be a rescue, a redemption and a transformation of real change!!!

Don't mind these people. Heavy police presence has always been there since the 1975 coup of Dunks, that assassinated M.Mohamed. But these twats will do everything possible to blame GEJ for any little thing.
Fashola knows deep down that he has goofed, but shame will never allow him to own up.
.
Just a pity that he is not contesting this time, cos Igbos would have shown him how displeased they are about his "tribalistic government".

We have a big security issue that goes beyond partisan politics on our hands. It's high time we asked serious questions about the readiness of our security operatives to fight crime or insurgency.

Something is hideously wrong with policing in this country, and it's just amazing that we are still playing lame politics with it.

What are we doing now to forestall similar occurrence of this incident? Perhaps the robbery was just coincidental with the President's visit. But what if it wasn't?

However, blaming GEJ is neither here nor there because security protocols for the President's protection have been around long before he came to office! The modus operandi of our police force is what we should bring to scrutiny, not the President's visit to Lagos.

My friend keep shut if you dont know what to say. Was president GEJ in lagos when previous Bank robberies occured in thesame Lekki Phase 1?It is common knowledge that the only escape route for them is the waterways. Is it not high time Fashola establishes a permanent security apparatus or patrol in the waterways? He should just own up to his irresponsible talk and apologise to Lekki Residence.

Fashola was right, same thing happen not too long ago in Oye Ekiti i guess when the president visited that state , robbers struck. The entire police should not be deployed for only one man's protection as if other Nigerian's life are worthless. March 28 Shall decide.

Even if Fashola as a governor is visiting any local government in his state, all the divisional police formations too are put on red alert because he must be protected too. We were informed that the policemen killed on the fateful day were on the escort of some foreign nationals, curiously, Lagos command still has spare officers to guide and escort private people.
APC should not ridicule the office of the president they are planning to occupy because by the time they eventually take over (subject to God override decision), the office will be worthless.
Jonathan did not visit the riverine area, what happened to the police guarding our water ways or the patrol speed boats bought for them? Why were day not able to apprehend the robbers?
NB
Why do Lagos like fighting Federal Government? Thank God GEJ is in charge not OBJ, Fashola should ask Tinubu how not to insult and fight FG.

Be honest with yourself. Does the constant visit of Gej to Lagos lately put pressure on the police force or not?

Where was the police while the robbers operate or is it Fashola's responsibility to provide police as well?

What has GEJ done to question Mbu the man he himself put in charge of the policing affairs of Lagos state.
