Only follow this advice to the "T" if you truly know you come from a lazy, entitled family, i don't want to use the word "Useless." You know those type of family and siblings that even if you invest N100M on them, they will never make anything tangible with their lives. My dad gave us the best he could, and i took it up as the first son. Of 4 siblings, i pushed 1 to Netherlands and from there to the USA, pushed 2 to Germany and the last just completed NYSC. Do i regret my actions? No? Did it bring me down financially? I would say NO because it took critical planning and budgeting to pull it through. Family matters and blood is thicker than water; but first make sure the family was raised right and the love is real, not money driven. And if you are unfortunate to have a black sheep in the family, never make more than one attempt to uplift him/her. One opportunity is enough for anybody who wants to make something good out of his/her life. |
Point of note. The FSB only carry out actions on Russian Home soil and controlled territories. Once you are fortunate to escape from Russia, you enter the jurisdiction of the Russia SVR, which is the equivalent of the CIA, MOSSAD and the Nigerian NIA responsible for bringing back Nnamdi Kanu and Umaru Dikko. The SVR and FSB are offshoots of the infamous KGB. |
AUSTINLAZ is on full-bid. I just say make i update una ![]() |
ZICHIS on full-bid at N4.19 A gentle reminder that TRANSPOWER once listed at N270 and the same full-bid game played out for a while. Today, TRANSPOWER is on full-offer at N307. Imagine the fate and premium tears of those that bought TRANSPOWER at all-time high. ![]() |
yMcy56: There are a lot of Facebook sponsored ads now talking about how they predicted the rise of stock A and it rose 300%. I am also seeing the rise of a lot of self proclaimed gurus. They go by the pseudonym "Financial Ada," "FinancialJane" "MoneyCheerleader." Your call for caution to new entrants is timely..........to avoid "Had I Known" |
You are wrong. According to the bible, the earth, heavenly bodies and the universe are billions of years old' as there is a time gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. When reading, consider the phrase in Gen 1:1 "In the Beginning" and Gen 1:2 "Now the earth was void and without form." Earth existed long before man and animals began to roam the earth. Elzazzi: |
I just feel sorry for that soldier now because when he will be redeployed to Sambisa, those hailing him now won't even be aware. His job there was illegal. You all just can't seem to understand that the military is powerless in the face of politicians. The military have to asslick politicians to get things done. |
TallNigerian:Most Nigerians just don't understand. Wike as FCT Minister is on the same level with the Minister of Defence. Even the CDS, CNS, CAS and COAS cannot talk when the Minister of Defence is talking. I recall a leaked audio tape during a past elction in Ekiti, where the then Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro was ordering a Brigadier General to either play ball or he will sit on his promotion, and the General was just stammering Yes Sir! Yes Sir!! |
Let me tell you how this is going to end up. The Chief of Defense Staff will meet with Wike alongside the former CNS and try to resolve the issue and possibly pacify Wike. For Wike to go to that site himself, that land has neither papers nor appproval. If Wike refuses to be pacified, then that land is gone. In a democratic government, politicians are more powerful than the military. If the current CDS or CNS refuses to do the right thing by removing those soldier from that land, all Wike has to do is pull a few strings with the MOD, NSA or SGF or Chief of Staff; and the military chiefs will lose their seat. Given the recent coup scare, all the service chiefs would not want negative media on the military at this time. |
Your Wife is not your plan B!! Your kids are not your plan B!!! As a man, your plan B should be Rental properties, stocks, bonds, health insurance. Better still, wrap it up in Trust. Plan up till your own casket and burial. Life in old age is brutal to men! Investing in your wife as a plan B is one of the worst mistakes you would do in life. All it take is one dude with sweet words to fool her and all your investments are gone. |
I guess the new-formed Propaganda machine has kicked off operation ![]()

SonofElElyonRet:The point is the same. It takes $1million to be a millionaire and $1billion to be a billionaire. Having one billion Naira in asset does not even make you a millionaire, not to talk of a billionaire . |
leo1234:To be considered a billionaire, you need a $1Billion. Anywhere you find yourself across the globe, you retain the status. Stories abound of Naira millionaires who sold off their million Naira assets, relocated to UK, USA or Canada and ended up taking up domiciliary care, valet parking or dish washing jobs to survive the clime. If they were truly millionaires, they would be able to live comfortably in any part of the world. |
And here i was, restarting and stowing my Starlink Dish........... ![]() |
PuristForest:I am tightly seated with over a million shares in the same price range. I recall when Dangote Sugar was dropping fast from N80+, i told those in the bus to sell and re-enter at a lower price. That opinion was met with stiff emotional resistance. Now it is time to buy Dangote Sugar again, just sit and watch the arguments that follow. Those who will make money from this forum are those who learn to filter noise/arguments and hard facts. My personal philosophy to every opinion or argument is that everybody is right today regardless of which side of the table you sit; but time will be the true judge of who was right or wrong. |
Princkez:The best time to enter a stock is when there is zero attention or sentiment towards the stock. To those who entered Dangote Sugar between N35 to N40, enjoy the ride and cheers to 100+% capital appreciation before 31st December 2025. |
222Martins:A Gentle reminder again............ ![]() |
ishayaauta: I hope you are not still waiting for a strong conviction? |
For anyone looking for a quick 100% capital appreciation, there is one last golden opportunity. What does Nigerian Brewery, Champion Brewery, International Brewery, MTN and Cadbury have in common? They all came out of losses in either their Q4 2024 or Q1 2025, and they have all done over 100%+ in the short-term. There is only one major company left to follow the trend and that is Dangote Sugar. Kindly do your own due diligence as this is neither financial advice nor a stock recommendation. |
This is my 2cents about Oando from a spectator's perspective. I don't have a single unit of Oando. 1. Is there an ongoing concern about Oando? YES!! 2. Was there some kind of financial engineering and window dressing in the Financial Statement of Oando? YES!! 3. Will people make money or lose money from the upward and downward swing of Oando regardless of the FS?? YES!! 4. Will Oando fail, declare bankruptcy or delist? NO!! 5. Will Oando come out of their financial mess? YES!! 6. Will Oando become bigger, and priced higher in the future? YES!! All it takes for number 5 and 6 to happen is for Tinubu to complete his 8-year tenure, during which Oando will keep being lucky by finding sweet deals such as Acquisitions, JVs, Cheap Financing, Contracts, waivers, concessions, etc. |

Locotrader:I don't agree with Locotrader on this. If you had followed the Champion discussion here and got in, you should be sitting on between 35% to 0ver 100%. My advice is: Consider exiting now that the sentiments are high. If you follow Champion Brewery to Utopia, Lala Land or NeverLand, you may sit on more paper profit than now, but exiting will become a problem because everyone will want to exit then, but there will be no buyers. Don't come back here and cry that you have been trapped and left behind in the bus. A word is enough for the wise. |
It is easier to do 50% to 100% profit with N10M and pull out your full funds plus profit without hassle. It is harder to replicate with N2Billion. Even if you divide and deploy N2Billion equally across 10 company stocks, that is N200M per company stock of your choice. The stocks you are likely to get 100% on a regular are stocks below N10. Now the problem is you cannot enter or exit with N200M without causing excitement or panic. 100% profit of that takes you to N400M. Best bet is to enter or pull out in bits over a long period of time; which is not really a viable option. The more you reduce your spread from 10 companies to maybe 2 or 3 or 5, the bigger your funds per company and also headache. Now you understand why a N2Billion fund handler is okay with 2% profit, usually with blue chip stocks Like Nestle, Seplat, etc that can absorb the money without blinking. No be to see 100% paper profit on N2Billion be the problem, can you actually cash it? Until your capital and profit sits as cash in your account; it is not yet Uhuru!! |
A ton of golden information can be found here, there is no doubt about it. But to make money from it, you must understand that: 1. Your Buying Price and Selling Price is only 10% of the game;..... the remaining 80% is waiting/patience. If you lack the 80%, you will end up making your Stockbrokers rich for every round trip you go. 2. There are 1000 strategies to make money in the stock market, but all you need is just 1, 2 or 3 strategies to succeed. A percentage of my portfolio funds is dedicated to higher risk stocks, such as: a. Stocks of companies in losses and are expected to recover back to profitability. Example was Champion called out by Loco. b. Companies pivoting across industries like Tantalizers c. Companies pivoting across different products in the same industry such as EllahLakes d. Companies under suspension or penalty/sanction..... 3. A bulk of my portfolio is in a safety net of dividend paying stocks, make man no go back to square 1 . I love dividends so much, but i don't buy the idea of sitting and waiting like an uninformed shareholder. So what do i do? I choose a few dividend paying companies, study them so well that i can predict their patterns and seasons like the biblical Sons of Issachar. So instead of just sitting and waiting for the next dividend, i trade the highs and lows of that stock, slowly and tactically building up my share quantity. So if i got N20 this year as dividend, i will get N30 next year if the Dividend per share stay the same; without adding an extra kobo of my own money. I have been doing this with ZenithBank for years now and got N7M as dividend on April 30th. In all this, consistency, discipline and patience is key. Find 1 or 2 strategies that suits your personality, or the strategies your brain can handle its complexities and stick to it. You will still make money. I don't understand all those Fibonacci, Miss Elliot and candle sticks that Agba and co talk about and i am not even trying. TA is not my calling. The point is: FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU AND STICK TO IT!! |
Locotrader: I guess he was overwhelmed by the euphoria of seeing dividend land in his account after a long time!!! |
PETERiCHY:Na just N830k dividend make you come dey call Loco out? This man sef!! Your strategy works, Locotrader strategy works....And you both are making money. That is the most important thing. Locotrader remains a highly respected G. |
If you bought EllahLakes, i believe you have a reason for doing so. Ignore the noise and stick to what you believe in. The last time i engaged in such argument was about Oando's management with Wale at the helm. Oando was trading between N9.50 - N10.50. Less than 4 weeks after this argument, Oando soared to N80+ and the rest is history. I know many here missed that rally because of the back and forth arguments here.......... Regardless of whatever is said here, make your own decision and own it whether it turns out good or bad. That is how you learn. Remember that those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it. Enough said. Disclaimer: I don't have a single share of EllahLakes. |
emmy512:The POTUS will never meet with private mercenaries. The PMC guys that showed outstanding bravery in defence of the CIA outpost in Benghazi were never publicly recognised by the Military or US President. For that guy to be on stage with Biden, he is US Special Force but probably had to resign for this mission. He will never be acknowledged by the US military. Plausible deniability. |
Her confidence speaks a lot. Nigerians are so mentally derailed that they believe honest people no longer exist. Nothing is hidden in a public office settings; meaning you cannot be a bribe taker in secret or chop alone. That woman was sent there simply because she has built a reputation that she can't be bought. In the 2023 Governorship election, a woman like her stood her ground despite pressure/threats/financial inducement from above, and declared Alex Otti of LP winner of the election. In retrospect, you all saw the shenanigans that played out in Adamawa state Guber election between the Inec Commisioner and APC candidate Binta. |
SonofElElyonRet:LOL!! Floor trading on the NGX is for retail investors. Those who buy wholesale has no business with the daily ups and downs of the floor of the NGX. |
Mankind2024:What makes a great company? Having a good product is not enough, management is key....and money always follow good management. It seems you are emotionally attached to IB. If not, there was enough time for you to cut your losses on the downward journey from N48 to N4.. I will rather back a good management and bad product; as it is easier to pivot your products across industries than to get rid of a bad management that is deeply entrenched/vested in a company. |
For those in ChampBrew,...sharpen your cutlass. While those in Intenegins should hold. Don't give away your equity for a mere N1.60, when there is a forthcoming window to sell for above that price..... Please take the above statement with a pinch of salt and do your own due diligence. Over and out. |
