All i see is greed on the side of the property owner and developer. How can you construct a 4-storey building in such a tight space with no ample surrounding space? In retrospect, politics of bitterness is the reason why politicians don't make/keep majority of investments in their home state and the country at large. Thereby depriving locals the job/business opportunities that will be created from such investments. And whether you like it or not, the political class are part of the richest class of the society; even before they ventured into politics. You can never be a notable figure in politics without your own money or the sponsorship of a Godfather/politician with money. |
I typed my reply to this thread and deleted it after cross checking it. I don't want to end up causing people unnecessary pressure. Whether it takes you 10 Months or 50 Years to save N100M, it doesn't matter. The most important thing is that you live a good, fulfilled life. |
Based on the timing of this Committee's finding and the coming Guber election, i believe nothing will come out of it. This is just another strategy to negotiate and win the support of the parties involved towards the second term of the governor. |

Earthquakes:You should be talking about the FBI and Homeland Security..... Nothing will make the FBI and CIA path cross in this manner; they have different jurisdiction [internal and External]. |
Goldbw122:If the reverse was the case, you give her all the time she needs but come up short on your job to provide for her and the kids, Is there a guarantee that she won't complain about your lack of provision and cheat with a man willing to offer her the extra goodies? I will rather my wife cheats on me for working too hard to provide for her needs, than for her to cheat on me because i couldn't provide. |
1. You can marry the most beautiful, understanding woman on earth....But on some bad days, both of you are going to wonder how and why you ended up with each other. 2. Women have a different perspective of love. They see tolerance of their BS, PDA, and allowing them make important choices for the home as love. To us Men, love is simply protecting and providing for your family. 3. In marriage, you the man will work your ass off to make sure your family never lacks the basic necessities of life and some luxury if you can afford it; and your wife, who is the number one beneficiary of your provision will wake up one day and complain that you are always working too hard and never having time for her. Never ever fall for this emotional blackmail by taking your hands off the plough. The respect, love and showers of praise you will receive in marriage depends on your ability to do your Number Job as a Husband; which is protect and provide for your family. 4. Expect see finish....You can be a powerful politician or a successful businessman outside your home. At home, you are just an ordinary man that walks around with his bare bumbum ![]() |
ppogba:The information is public. The Barbbbicann Company being disputed about is incorporated under his Children's name, so technically and legally, he has nothing to with the company even though he controls it. |
FreeStuffsNG:Do you know that if i open a company called Nairaland LTD and buy a N1B property with it. That property cannot be touched in a divorce lawsuit because it doesn't belong to me? You need to go and study corporate Law. |
FreeStuffsNG:This can only happen when you are dealing with an uneducated man. Any man worth above N1B (after deducting liabilities) must understand the meaning of Corporate Veil and Trusts. This Lagos Court matter you highlighted is the reason i don't put my trust in money, rather i put my money in Trust. |
It is not a big deal Madam, unless you truly have an ulterior motive. I had properties before i got married and bought more even after being married but i did all that under a corporate entity. The best i could do was make my wife a principal agent so she makes money from any property transaction i carry out. My wife also has property she bought in her name, with her money and we have a joint account (For Emergency purposes Only) that i personally fund. With all these measures i have taken, my Father, Mother and Siblings can't do anything to my assets if i die today and my children won't suffer. Even in death, i will still determine who gets What, How and When He Gets It. If your fears are about tomorrow, i suggest you discuss with your husband about your fears for the future. Only Foolish Men and illiterates don't prepare for death long before it comes. Nobody has a guarantee of tomorrow. |
Goldsplash:Directorate of Military Intelligence is a sub-division of the Defence Intelligence Agency and the DIA is headed by a Chief of Defence Intelligence. Let me break it down in layman's term. If Ghana is planning to launch a missile or invade Nigeria, it is job of the DIA / DMI to find out, access the situation and pass it on to the CDS / Ministry of Defence. If an Iranian national located in Saudi Arabia is trying to sell a SAM (Surface to Air Missile) to Boko Haram, it is the job of the NIA to find out and neutralize this threat. If the DIA gets this information first, they pass it to the MOD, who passes it to the NSA, who then passes the intelligence to the NIA for immediate action. If the sale has already occured before the intelligence was intercepted and the Missile is enroute Nigeria or already on Nigerian soil. The NIA notifies the DSS through the office of the NSA. If a Boko Haram terrorist escapes Nigeria, Just the same way Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho escaped Nigeria, the DSS puts the NIA on alert through the office of the NSA. |
For those Who don't know, NIA (National Intelligence Agency is the Nigerian version of the US CIA, UK's MI6, Russia SVR, Israel's Mossad and Pakistani ISI. The NIA was responsible for covertly bringing Nnamdi Kanu back to Nigeria. They can smuggle Simon Ekpa back to Nigeria in a diplomatic crate like they did to Umaru Dikko, if they get the greenlight from the president. The NIA, like their foreign counterpart cannot operate within their respective countries unless accompanied by an internal security agency. DSS or SSS (DSS is just their pen name for dealing with the public). SSS is the Nigeria version of US Homeland Security and Secret Service Combined, UK's MI5, Russian FSB and Israeli ShinBet. Their jurisdiction is mainly with the borders of their country. I saw a post on NL where people were saying the position of NSA given to Nuhu Ribadu is bigger than the Service Chiefs. No!! The service chiefs comprising of CDS, COAS, CNS and CAS are under and report to the Minister of Defence (MOD); unless they are summoned directly by the president. The MOD can also provide tactical assault teams to the NIA if requested for. If not for the way Nigeria is, the MOD, Service Chiefs / Military have no business operating within Nigeria/Domestic Affairs or mounting roadblocks. Even in the USA, any soldier you see responding to crisis or terrorist attack inside USA is drawn from Homeland Security under the Department of Homeland security, not the regular Military under the Department of Defense. |

Laurene:So any Zimbabwean with a 1Billion Zimbabwean Dollar is a billionaire right? What about the person with 1Trillion Zimbabwean Dollar? Is that person also a Trillionaire?? Clown!!! |
Laurene:Don't be a clown and for once in your life, positively justify the usage of your data. A millionaire in Zimbabwe in 2007 could have been extremely poor.[3] Because of this, the term 'millionaire' generally refers to those whose assets total at least one million units of a high-value currency, such as the United States dollar, Euro, or Pound Sterling. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millionaire |
The internationally accepted definition of a millionaire is $1million in networth; that is N740,000,000. What this means is that regardless of the country you find yourself; whether USA, UK, UAE, Spain, Canada, etc, you can live comfortably as a millionaire. That's why i laugh at people who feel they have arrived with their Venza and N2M account balance ![]() |

DoMeGood09:Very funny but true. I once met a young beautiful curvy girl who was a pastor's daughter. Knowing she is definitely going to be getting attention from men, i switched game. After interacting with her and telling her what i do for a living, i told her i have a personal principle of having nothing to do with pastors' daughters. I no get strength for their holier than thou attitude. Guess what? She started trying her best to prove to me that pastor's daughters are humans too and not what the world paint them to be. Today, she is my wife ![]() |
Hmmmmmmmm!! I spend between N20,000 to N30,000+ daily excluding school fees and once a while frivolities; as a married man living in Abuja. The figure is this way because we plan very well and try to save by buying food items in bulk; cook and store up food in the freezer. I can give a breakdown if need be |
Money lending anywhere where in the world is not a business for the weak. It is a business of the street called loan sharking. People naturally are lazy about repaying their debt. If you want to succeed in this kind of business, you need to run it Mafia-style. Put some muscle or enforcers on your payroll via commission. You can get them from the parks and joints. Just take them to the residence of the debtors, park outside and let them go in and do the talking. If the debtors still dilly dally, let the enforcers break bottles on their head and take it all the way up......And don't forget to grease balls on the law enforcement ends. |
A cousin of mine who happens to be a good football player got an offer from an agent to go to Europe to play professionally. I agreed to sponsor the whole arrangement on the condition that i will pay only when the visa is out. Visa came out and it was an Uzbek 90-day visa. The agent was banking on our inability to read the visa written in Uzbek . I aborted mission immediately and my cousin became cold towards me. I was now seen as a stumbling block to a sure brighter side of life in Uzbek but me i no send anybody oh. Long story short, his friend took up the offer, travelled to Uzbekistan and came back 3months later lamenting that the country is nothing to write home about. The Uzbek returnee is now after the agent claiming he was duped while i sip a glass of wine and thanked TIME for vindicating me. |
JourneytoEL:Okay!!! No need for argument. |
JourneytoEL:Matured Christian indeed. Please stop exhibiting your shallow understanding of the bible. The devil or your so called demons can claim to be anything; but will never identify itself as Jesus Christ. 2. A dark power can never identify itself as serving under the lordship of Jesus Christ. For a mortal instrument, the penalty for such act is death. Get your fact right. |
garfield1:We are analysing objectively, so no need to throw tantrums. Most notable figures in APC today were lured with one promise or the other; especially the governors. You saw what happened in Edo right? Well, that is just an isolated case in an isolated election. We will see a repeat on a larger scale in the 2023 general election, starting from the federal party level. |
garfield1:APC is the bigger party; with more notable politicians. The in-fighting will be fiercer there than anywhere else. |
The only thing keeping APC together is that they have not conducted their National convention and presidential primaries. Once these two events occur, it's decamping and cross carpeting all the way. There's also going to be a lot of In-fighting; which has already started in Imo and Kano. |
