Agbalowomeri:Wahala Oti kpoju!!! ![]() |
Oando peeps are hoping, praying, debating and hanging on to 2022 Q1 Financial Statement for survival; while the rest of us are already making moves in the 2nd Quarter of 2024; and other companies are showing industry forecast for 2025 and beyond. When you talk about living in the past, this is a typical example of it. Is this not one of the 7 wonders of the NGX? ![]() |
Locotrader:I really love this NSEMPA group as it gives me an insight how people think and behave irrationally even though they claim to be intelligent. It's funny seeing people make excuses for companies like Oando and giving themselves false hope and false narrative when a Financial Statement is staring them in the face with the point blank truth..... ![]() Same way they pray, make excuses and give themselves hope when a company announces a suspension from a proposed merger arrangement due to non-operational status of one of the companies. Instead of facing the reality and bite the bitter pill, you start hearing things like: 1. They only announced a suspension, it doesn't mean cancellation 2. Since DangSugar has not announced anything, maybe something is cooking 3. Why did Nascon hastily rush to make the announcement? 4. Customstreetguy, Any hope for us? ![]() |
Bizibi:There is nothing special about First Bank. This is boardroom politics and it is all about personal interest, not the Bank's interest or shareholders interest. Anybody that controls the board will decide who get the contracts; and can allocate massive loans to himself, his companies and his friends at very low interest rate and zero collateral. Same way Tony Elumelu got a N44billion loan at 15% interest rate. |
2zona:They want to dump their Nascon on an ignorant mugu .. If they will be willing to cross-deal their Nascon at N15, i will gladly buy it ![]() |
BullBearMkt:They just sent a revised Stock Recommendation now But come to think of it, who takes stock recommendation from a brokerage house that is also trading to profit? It is just like taking a betting recommendation from the same gambling house you are playing at. |
Locotrader:There have been a lot of speculation about the final exit price of Raysun...But i don't want to count my chicks before they are hatch because i know that whatever the exit price may be, i must make money. |
Locotrader:Yeah!! There's so much upside and prospect in this ChampBrew.........I am just waiting to hear the plan/strategy of the new management, if i like it, i will go in for the long haul. |
Mfunkynation:No one is taking your birthright away Just buy us out or give us a good exit price for our afolabi units.. You can keep your state property... |
Streetinvestor2:Relax!!! We are not riding with ChampBrew to heaven or hell or wherever they may be heading to. We just want them to buy us out or give us a good exit price We also understand the risk involved, that's why it constitutes just 10% of my portfolio. |
Locotrader:Raysun (Heineken BV) revamped Champion Brewery yes, but rather than grow the company, they simply turned it into a production line for NB. They know the potential of ChampionBrew, hence they needed to make it look troubled, so as to have enough justification to go private. ChampionBrew has a supply problem, not demand. Why contract brew for NB, when you can make more products with the same resources and signup more distributors in other states? Champion products should be the dominant market leader in the South South, as their factory location gives them a competitive advantage in price. |
Locotrader:Are you referring to our NSEMPA's number 1 Cheerleader / Advocate of emotional investors and Forbes List Stock Analysts? ![]() |
Locotrader: Then they should prepare to be like the biblical Israelites that wandered the wilderness for 400 years According to Agba, the journey go far I just hope and pray they did not collect LAPO loan ![]() |
Streetinvestor2:I usually laugh when some cheerleaders here console themselves with words like: "Alhaji is Forbes list conscious" or "Tony is working hard to enter Forbes list" or "Ote will not allow the price to fall below so-so figure because he must remain on Forbes list" and i ask myself: Are these people on Nairaland really investors? How are you all so emotionally whipped up even when hard facts and figures are staring you in the face? Let me tell you a few hard truth nobody will tell you especially when investing in NGX and doing business in Nigeria: 1. Nobody care about Forbes list......It is strictly all about the Money. 2. Nobody cares about integrity,....Anybody that is able to get the slightest competitive advantage in business will use it to the fullest no matter how illegal or immoral it is. Think Alhaji, Wale, Tony, Rabiu, etc. 3. Nobody with a serious business to run watches the stock price of his company daily, including the big names on the NGX. Money follows management. If you play the game right, the money will follow and the stock price will respond....... 4. Be wary when cheerleaders encourage you to join the herd and follow the money,......They may be heading off a cliff like lemmings, or running into a crocodile-infested river like wildebeests. NS/DS as a typical scenario. Like a crocodile, I am patiently waiting to cherry-pick the wildebeests of NS/DS when they enter my price zone ![]() 5. Any buy order you are about to place with excitement is not worth it...Same as any stock that generates excitement. Nothing good comes out of drama and theatrics. Excitements closes your eyes and ears to solid opportunities laying in quiet places. 6. Whenever you find out that you have been played or setup for failure, cut your losses and run..I repeat, RUN!!!!!!!!!!........Don't sit and listen to emotional investors asking why a company will quickly release news about a merger suspension so fast and they should be investigated. Buy, hold and pray is a losers strategy You can always re-enter at a much lower price....7. Lastly, The real money-makers here don't post often, they are busy people, they don't cheerlead stocks to get you excited..Whenever and if ever they recommend a stock, they back it up with hard-verifiable facts and even show you their holdings in that stock, so you know they are all in. Unfortunately, they are the ones that get insulted and booed the most, while the emotional investors that hopes and prays for Forbes list get all the accolades because they sell you hope, just like Nigerian pastors. ![]() |
Zagee:Whether they unsuspend the SUSPENSION or cancel it entirely is not my cup of tea......All i want to do now is to mop up DS and NS at bottom prices. Let the fall begin!! ![]() |
Locotrader:I have been Loading enough IEI since Monday at 1.29 up until this afternoon, before one goodfella decided to swoop 500,000 units today at 1.51 ![]() |
Locotrader:When i cautioned people to look beyond cheerleading stocks that generate excitement, i guess they will understand now....Why waste your time in DS/NS and co when lots of solid stocks are on offer?.....Those in OANDO are hereby advised to sleep with one eye open. ![]() 222Martins: |
It has been a wonderful week so far with lots of stocks on offer at bargain prices. Unfortunately, many here missed out on bargain offers because their eyes were fixated on FUGAZ and other Cheerleading stocks that generate excitement . In the end, the pareto's principle of 80:20 still holds true because many have refused to look beyond their nose. |
Everything is on sale It's like a promo sales is ongoing on the floor of NGX. Buy 1 get 1 free This is the time money is made, not when everyone is riding the wave ![]() |
DrAkpamudehe: BabsO2:So you mean if i buy UBA today, i will get paid N2.70 dividend by 24th of May? Just dey play!!! I don't know if you guys just like to deliberately misinform people. The dividend to be paid to anyone that enters UBA today is N2.30, that is 10% on an entry price of N23; as against the N2.70 you all are trumpeting. |
chipa:Do you realise that Zenith Bank (Just a single banking entity) selling at a lower stock price is paying 25% more in dividend than GTCO (a Holding company)? |
Locotrader: InterBrew declared billions in loss, the price held steady. NB and Guinness declared billions in loss, their prices held steady respectively. ChamBrew declared a decline in profit, not loss and people are selling in panic...........Anybody that can't stomach a decline should sell.........We are waiting at N3 and below |
Boshins:Massive dumping already triggered in ChampionBrew in the last few minutes..........Full Offer Loading The new price of Champion will be 3.36 by Thursday and all the way down Anybody wey wan sell, now is the right time to do so... |
Locotrader:I am not in the IEI train for now......Those like Deadlytruth who were fortunate to take advantage of the price disparity and entered IEI early should enjoy the ride. I am done entering any stock for now until May, when i am sure the dividend run is over and the price dust has settled. |
There are 5-plausible groups that may be behind this upsurge in Power lines vandalism... 1. Big Generator Merchants/Importers 2. Power companies repair and maintenance contractors 3. Diesel importers (Power supply is inversely proportional to diesel consumption). 4. Internal sabotage for the purpose of inflating budgetary allocation/contracts 5. Political-sponsored vandals trying to distract the present government, paint them in bad light or reduce their current momentum. Bandits and terrorist acting on their own have nothing to gain sabotaging powerlines; as it doesn't get them the needed attention or financial gain. |
jadyclem:To all the newbies always asking what stock or company should i buy? I will say this once and for all. NOBODY can tell you what is best for you to buy/sell because they don't know where you are coming from, your risk appetite and where you are headed. I might recommend a stock to you and all i need is for that stock to move 20% so i can make N100M profit, while you will be praying for that same stock to move 100% so you can make N1Million profit. This is why i am more inclined to discuss companies prospects and performance; rather than buy/sell recommendations. The stock market, real estate, bonds, T-Bills, SPVs, etc are all investment vehicles..........and the sole job of a vehicle is to get you from point A to B. Now before putting a kobo in any investment vehicle, ask yourself: Where am i now? (Point A) and where am i heading to? (Point B and C). The answer to this question will form the foundation of your investment plan and goal; and will go a long way to determine the type of investment vehicle to take. Sometimes, it may take boarding and disembarking 2 or 3 investment vehicles to get from point A to C. The timeframe of this journey, the best vehicle to take and the challenges you will face enroute your destination is what nobody can perfectly predict for you. You will be surprised that you may quit the journey along the way or change your direction as you get older and more experienced. When i was younger and ambitious, my goal was to grow my personal paper portfolio to N1Billion.........As i grew older and experienced, i realised that the only reason i wanted a N1Billion portfolio was just for bragging rights... That excitement is all gone today. Today, all i want is to keep my money and paper assets moving ahead of inflation.....While making sure that my hard assets are hedged against any political/economic shock; and my children are groomed to carry on the mission once my time on earth is done. So please, do yourself a favour and start asking the right questions............ Instead of asking for what/when to buy/sell, ask for opinions on company prospects, corporate announcements and company performance based on their Financial statement and future Outlook. Wanting to make money in the stock market is not enough fire to see you through the perils of the market. You will need a stronger goal and a solid plan to stay and grow in the game. |
ogoo4real:"I can calculate planetary motions but i can never understand the madness of men" - This statement was made by Sir Isaac Newton after he lost money in the 1720 stock market crash. I usually laugh when people here say the market NGX has a mind of its own.............It's all an illusion. The Stock market has no mind of its own, we are all simply dealing with the irrational behaviour of human beings, trading in the market; of which we are part of. When you expect humans to go left, they go up...and vice versa ![]() To be a successful investor, you must think for yourself......and ignore whatever directions the lemmings and wildebeests are heading to because they always end up in a stampede and many get crushed. When people begin to shout follow the money, they simply mean follow the herd, even if the herd is heading off the cliff. |
Coolcash1:Stop quoting me about ChampBrew. I don't want to sound like those who hype Oando, lure people in and dump Oando If ChampBrew comes down to 2.80 this week, i will up my stakes to 100M units. For now, all i have is 11M+ Afolabi units and that's just 10% of my entire portfolio. I am up 15% on ChampBrew and i haven't sold a dime.....If not for Loco, nobody for hear my voice for this small ChampBrew wey person buy. Abeg, no mention me again for this ChampBrew matter. Everybody na CEO for him own portfolio. Let's discuss other companies and the opportunities they offer ![]()

Transcorp and TransPower is getting all the attention now like a newly Matric Girl in a hostel full of final year boys.......This is a good opportunity for anyone here in ChampionBrew to port to the new rave of the NGX..... To those of you here who will get ChampionBrew between N4.14 and N5, you must see at least 100% of your money.... ChampionBrew will see N15 and touch or nearly touch N20.....The info wey i get, none of una get am.........Bail out now if your mind is shaky about ChampionBrew.....He who has ear, let him hear. This will be my last post about ChampionBrew. I will only mention this particular stock again when it crosses N10 on its way to N15 - N20. As for now, Peace!!! |
defebe:@KarlTom, if you are in ChampionBrew and your mind dey shake, there is an opportunity to RUN now. About 2,522,128 on bid now at an average price of 3.75......All you need to do is sell at marketprice........Run now and have peace of mind ![]() |
From the video, he knew his time on earth was done and he has made peace with his creator.........One of the rarest opportunity you can have in this world is to know when your time is done; thereby having some split minutes/hours to make amends with your creator, appreciate your helpers and seek peace/reconciliation from those you have offended. Billions of people have passed away without getting such opportunity. RIP John Okafor aka Mr Ibu |

It is just like taking a betting recommendation from the same gambling house you are playing at.
When people begin to shout follow the money, they simply mean follow the herd, even if the herd is heading off the cliff.
