Yoruba culture is rich in humanities and philosophy. Oriki is praise poetry, it is also called oratory history or oratory literature and has been used for many centuries to relay oral traditions and historical accounts from one genration to another. In Yoruba philosophy living things and non-living things posess energy and this is repeated many times in Ifa. All energies have Oriki.

These are Orikis for each state within the Yoruba Nation.
