i ask one of my guy in the airforce where the j 17 were meant to be, said they did not receive any signal saying the j17 is approaching there base. he said he was confused when he saw the post online. but he said, may be their headquarter is aware and may be waiting for the plane to come closer to the country be sending their base signal. the plane is meant to base in 403 tactical command makurdi. he said there in a secret plan for the Nigeria airforce to purchase heavy fighter jet from either usa, russia and china. he said it was the major reason why the USA mission in nigeria and the usa African military command in Africa had a meeting. he said they are planning for a f 35 fighter or russian su 57 or su 34 and china j 17 or j10. he said that the purchase will be funded from the excess crude oil money which the federal government is planning to withdraw. remember last year the USA airforce official visit the former chief of air staff. and this year they have being meeting between the two country. i hope this is true. please somebody help me confirmed from your people in air force.

I won't be surprised if some officers in the airforce are starting to make wild wishes. Most of their immediate needs have been taken care of and they are now starting to think about the future. Imagine where they were 10-15 years ago.
Compare the airforce to the navy/army too, they've been very lucky in recent years and there is nothing wrong in pushing their luck.
Whether they will get them or not is another thing entirely.

And then, the fact that they opted for the JF-17 and shows that they may not be getting anything extraordinary in the next few years. Except they won't be ordering more than 3 of the aircraft.

No news much from my side on Magumeri as ISWAP chased my guys out of there November at year.

Most guys here are saying Dikwa was intentionally abandoned by the military. I heard the NCOs were angry with some of their commanders in Dikwa.

Immediately the attack started that most NCOs just moved out immediately. Na hear I hear oh angry

ISWAP has made no contacts on the NGO staff they took and we have not seen videos. I just pray they haven’t killed my friends

Moved out? But We were told here that they were escorting fleeing civilians.

Seriously sha, if true, this unauthorized withdrawal by troops(no matter who you are angry at) smacks of lack of discipline and to an extent, insubordination. I won't pity any of them that are heavily dealt with by a court martial or military panel.

Troops of Special Forces Brigade in Borno State have eliminated 38 Boko Haram fighters at Chikingudu, a community in Marte local government. The terrorists were killed after troops clearing Missene, Hausari and Chikungudu communities in Marte, engaged them in a gun battle, on Tuesday. The troops, however, lost two soldiers during the battle with the terrorists. It was learnt that seven soldiers also sustained injuries while fighting the insurgents. 32 AK-47 rifles, three anti-aircraft guns, three general purpose machine guns, two automatic grenade launchers (AGL), and two gun trucks, among other ammunition, were recovered by troops.

i dont blame the solider, remember i said dikwa was overrun because of bad commander even the special force that left marte to dikwa said the commander were not good. i think that was the major reason the cds order junior officer to command miltary battalion and super camp.

CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF LEADS SERVICE CHIEFS ON OPERATIONAL VISIT TO OPERATION HADARIN DAJI

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Lucky Irabor today, Tuesday 9 March 2021, led the Service Chiefs and other Principal Staff Officers of the Defence Headquarters and Services Headquarters, on a one-day operational visit to Operation HADARIN DAJI, Zamfara State. The purpose of the visit was to assess the ongoing military operation in the state, as well as appraise the combat and operational readiness of troops in the Area of Operations.

On arrival at the Force Headquarters, OP #DHQUpdate HD, Gusau, the CDS and Service Chiefs were briefed on operational activities and achievements of the Operation by the Force Commander Major General Aminu Bande after which the CDS addressed the troops.

In his remarks, the CDS commended the officers and men of OPHD for their concerted efforts and urged them not to relent, but to continue giving their utmost best to ensure the return of lasting peace to Zamfara State in particular, and the North-West zone in general. He urged them to be ruthless and more aggressive in decisively routing out unrepentant bandits and other criminals within the North-West zone comprising Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto and Kebbi states.

General Irabor charged the troops to remain focused, committed and resolute in discharging their duties while assuring that the Service Chiefs would support and do all that was needed to enhance their fighting capabilities and efficiency in their Area of Operations. He equally assured the troops of improved welfare and prompt resolution of administrative challenges bedeviling the operation.

The CDS and Service Chiefs thereafter paid a courtesy visit to the executive governor of Zamfara State, Dr Bello Mohammed MON at the government house, Gusau. While receiving the CDS, Governor Bello Mohammed made a case for more modern war hardware to be provided for the security agencies operating in the state. This, according to him, would help nip the current spate of insecurity confronting not only Zamfara State, but the entire country. The Governor equally enjoined the military to clear all the bandits’ camps in the state, stressing that this would go a long way to eliminating them.

In his remarks, the CDS assured the governor, and indeed Nigerians in general, of the determination and resolve of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies, in decisively dealing with all criminal elements operating across the various zones of the country.

Thank you for your cooperation.
