Apart from declaring an area safe, DSS should also continue with intense HUMINT on maiduguri community to storm bokoharam possible hide outs while the military keep doing their thing. Attacking maiduguri will be a suicide mission as the military will respond with all available assets. The only problem is the place being residential.

yes the person who uploaded that video erroneously named them Nigerians,thats why i rectified by naming them Nigerien.its a common mistake,people tend not know there is a difference

GHANA STAFF COLLEGE COMMENDS NIGERIA LEADERSHIP ROLE IN PEACE SUPPORT OPERATIONS

The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) has lauded the leadership role being played by Nigeria in peace support operations in Africa. The GAFCSC Course 39 gave this commendation on Monday during a study tour to the Nigeria Defence Headquarters Abuja.

The visit of the GAFCSC students to Nigeria was part of deliberate efforts aimed at strengthening existing bilateral and military cooperation between both countries.

The GAFCSC students visit to Nigeria is also part of their study tour to strategic organizations including military institutions to broaden their knowledge on the operational activities of these institutions.

Speaking during their visit to Defence Headquarters, the head of the GAFCSC delegation and the Deputy Commandant of the Institution, Brigadier General Augustine Komla Boimah stated that the study tour was to foster the existing military cooperation between the Ghanaian Armed Forces and its Nigerian counterpart.

Commenting on the theme for the Africa tour, which is “Enhancing Africa Unity through Social Economic, Culture and Military Cooperation,”

Brigadier General Boimah, said aside strengthening the long standing relationship between both countries, the students are expected to gain more knowledge on the roles and operational activities of the Nigerian Armed Forces in regional, sub-regional and global military operations.

Addressing the GAFCSC delegation and students, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, who was represented by the Chief of Defence Policy and Plans, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Emmanuel Anebi said the visit by the GAFCSC to Defence Headquarters will further promote the already established closer ties between both countries Armed Forces.

AVM Anebi, who thanked the authority of the GAFCSC for selecting Nigeria in its African study tour this year, wished the delegation and students safe trip as they travel to Kaduna tomorrow and consequently back to Ghana.

Highpoint of the interactive session was the emphasis on the need for the Nigerian Armed Forces to remain committed to its leadership role in peace support operations in sub-regional, regional and global scene.

Beside the tour to Nigeria, another set of the GAFCSC students are equally touring four African countries. These countries are Equatorial Guinea, Morocco, Tanzania, and Zambia.
