Remove Egypt from your list, aside Iran and Israel I don't see any middle Eastern country that will defeat the Egyptians in whatever form of warfare, even an open confrontation with Israel will be too bloody on both sides. Don't underestimate the Egyptians.
History says that Egypt even in coalition was beaten as badly by Israel alone as they have beaten other Arabs.
Just look at the losses of Egypt against this small country despite huge geographic & numerical advantage.

For any other country in middle east, UAE has an air force capable of giving unacceptable damage to even China, India and Russia, leave alone Egypt.

But yes, not many countries in middle east are strongetr than Egypt. Remember what I said? Arabs have worst military skills in world. Its meaningless because Egypt can't stand against any professional military outside greater middle east. Because no Arab military is capable at first place. Stop taking pride in calling yourself Egyptians, this country is now controlled by Arabs.
Any one of great power like US, UK, France, Russia, China, India, Japan or Germany can finish all Arabs countries combined alone.

just a lil piece of history
Read my previous post carefully, no where did I say the Egyptian military defeated Israel. I said the war almost ended in disaster for the israelis. They gave them a good run for their money. Before then the Israelis felt they where invincible. Go check the casualties the Israelis incurred then compare that with wars with other Arab nation

Yes sir!! they have an annual defence budget of about $4billion. Those guys ain't poor oo, though they might not have the spending might of the Saudis but believe you me, with their acquisitions over the years and manpower development Saudis stands no chance against them. Even the last war they had with Israel was almost a stalement with casualties of over 17000 men on both sides which saw them forcing the Israelis to negotiate a deal that saw them reclaim the Sinai that was captured by Israel in the Six day war..
grin or things were acquired for them by the same Saudi money grin

Saudi deal with the Egyptians?, permit me to roll my eyes. Apart from financial muscle, the Saudis have no coherent military structure. In event of a war, the Saudis will rely on the Egyptians to act their customary role of an attack dog.

The navy lost some men in Calabar unfortunately they're close pals.

These are not unusual but it's a bad thing that these things just happen and go.

RIP heroes.

Regulars. They're close friends. What I heard is some were killed during an ambush and 2 or more were kidnapped and later killed.

I don't want to sound like a harbinger of bad news but I feel that winter is coming, I say this with trepidation. Something seem to be happening on every part of Nigeria and as you said, "... These things just happen and go." The CinC seem to have abandoned his responsibilities and always on the campaign trail.

NAF CONDUCTS SHOW OF FORCE FOR ENHANCED SECURITY OF COMMUTERS ON KADUNA-ABUJA EXPRESSWAY

In an effort to support more effective security measures along the Kaduna-Abuja Highway, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has conducted a “Show of Force” Exercise in Katari village, one of the identified criminal hotspots along the Route. The exercise, which combined aerial and ground operations by NAF Special Forces (SF) and Regiment personnel, is intended to send a stern warning signal to criminal elements, that the NAF and other security agencies are ready to engage them both from the air and on ground to frustrate their nefarious activities. Two armed helicopters, along with 50 fully armed personnel, were deployed for the exercise, which simulated a rummage where the SF stormed a criminal hideout and arrested some suspects who were flown away for further interrogation.

The Team Leader and Commanding Officer of the Regiment Wing, 453 Base Services Group NAF Kaduna, Wing Commander Leonard Onugha, while addressing the men after the exercise, said the NAF, in collaboration with other security agencies, is doing all it can to ensure a safe corridor for commuters who ply the Kaduna-Abuja Highway. He therefore urged all well meaning Nigerians to go about their legitimate businesses and report any suspicious activities or persons to the security agencies.

Certain portions of Kaduna-Abuja Highway have been susceptible to the activities of armed robbers and kidnappers, who randomly attack and kidnap commuters for ransom and rituals. In compliance with the directives of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, the NAF, as part of its constitutional role of providing aid to Civil Authority, will sustain aerial surveillance and armed vehicular patrols along the Highway and Rail line to consolidate ongoing efforts to ensure safe travels for law-abiding citizens.

Is it not the same Saudi that has houthi rebels whooping their asses in Yemen?. Seriously, in event of a war, the full might of Egypt will come marching down the streets of Riyadh within hours and king Salman will be cooling his feet in a black maria before the 9'O clock news.

I have to agree with you on this one, internal security has gone down the drain, NPf choppers are being used to ferry politicians all over the country and the Air Force that has actual wars to fight is forced to commit assets to this useless fight against criminal elements instead of providing logistics resupply and medicacal/casualty evacuation for our boys in the North East, what kind of senseless society do we live in ?

Our police is legit a joke and most of these thugs and criminal elements all over the country are armed by politicians to do their dirty work for them.

More disappointing Is that no administration (especially the present one which I expected to be sensible) has bothered to challenge them to do their job

Right? I mean, when you have a locality with rampant robberies and rape for example, in a real country where accountability matters, the Commander or Chief of that police division gets fired or demoted, when these guys are held accountable, and knowing what's at stake, they will put fire under the men in their command and those men will make sure those robberies etc stop.
I mean, sad to say, but there's a part of me that's always jealous of cops out here, heck you steal $5 the police (upon siting you), will lock down the whole area until you are found, anything that threatens the order in society, they don't joke with it, but in Nigeria we keep treating these things with kid gloves.
You do your show force today, then tomorrow the military or whatever packs up and leave the next day, then the criminals come, kill and loot. We need something sustainable, not some once in a year show of force.
For pete's sake, initiate community policing, get to know the civilians and communities you are supposed to be serving. damn, it hurts. Right there in Akure growing up, i never once saw police patrol my area, in the 17yrs i spent for that country, not once. Isn't that sad?
But when no one is calling out these guys, questioning them, don't answer to the communities they police, then why would they bother doing their job.

Salient points.
The nonchalance is something unfortunately common to all things Federal in this country.
There's just no sense of duty, neither is it demanded nor imbibed by their employers.

A lot of our security woes are not nearly sophisticated, they are only allowed to fester till it's a national embarrassment (that's if we have shame sef). I don too talk sef, it's tiring brother
