Thank God the elections have come and gone. Now that we have a new Government at the center, can we now restructure Nigeria into regions and have full resource control with each region contributing to the center? Can we now have state policing too? 6 Likes 3 Shares |

asha80: Ok, even without state policing, let us have regions and each region should be able to control their resources and contribute a certain percentage to the center. |
Re: A Call For Regionalism/resource Control & State Police by Nobody: 7:23am On Apr 13, 2015 |
asha80:Yeah, the governors could misuse the state police for nefarious ends, but there could be federal supervision of their activities. For state police to work, the governors should not have the power to appoint the police chief. That power could be exercised by the Chief judge of the state. A federal police force would still exist though. The DSS could be the new federal police, with jurisdiction limited to violations of federal law. |

The real die is cast already. SS, middle belt n SE have all spoken with a loud voice that they are not ready for hypocrisy. Nigeria is a fraud. Let's dismantle it peacefully before its late! Oil is the binding force. All oil states want a separation from the centre by opting out of APC wuruwuru!! Let's do it peacefully!! 3 Likes 1 Share |

EUROBOMBER: LMAO...under GEJ and ibo government, for 6 years you never thought of letting people exist to manage their regions and resources. It you rode roughshod over them. Now that another party and a performant group are at the helm, you want to hide? Hahaha.....losers! I hope The new APC government does restructure Nigeria anyway into regional governments. The SW and our leaders most notably have provided the guiding light for decades only that Ibos destroyed Nigeria's regionalism that was very successful! God bless Chief Obafemi Awolowo. 7 Likes |

Sloan: Not dwelling too much on.who cancelled the regionalism for their own selfish purpose of always trying to.lord it over others, I still believe we need to restructure the country into functional units that will be sustaining the central government, a departure from the opposite of what is obtainable now. We need devoid power at the centre and empower the regions. This presidential system is too expensive for Nigeria. What is the essence of a bicameral house? It is just too expensive. 5 Likes |

EUROBOMBER: Truth is, Nigerians dont care if you South Easterners disappear into space from the map. But implicitly trying to drag the SSers into your demise is what can never be allowed. Declare Biafra without the SS and see if the whole Nigeria will not readily accept your secession, and lets see what stuff the word Ibo is made of. But its a pity your greedy kinsmen knows its nothing for them without the SS attache. 3 Likes |

StBlack1: Did you hear me mention SS in my write up or say that I want to drag SS along with the Igbos and why are you so disturbed about the SS are you from there? Let them speak for themselves. I only requested for regionalism why is that so difficult to understand. The SS can speak for themselves, I believe they are also tired of this whole shiit. Stop being silly, nowhere in my post did I drag SS along. 1 Like |
