Idiooots will soon begin to ask what GEJ did with it,
Without subtracting the State allocations and capital projects.

I'm really shocked by this post. shocked Did you see that figure? N9.6tr. Our national budget has been hovering around N4tr (both capital and recurrent expenditure) per annum for years now. In four years, that would amount to between 16 and N20tr. If N9.6tr of that amount comes from Shell alone, what happend to the revenue generated from the other companies and the sale of crude? 2.8m barrels per day at $50 per barrel equals $4.2b(over N600b @ N160 to $1) per month. Mind you, capital projects he embarked on where funded mainly from SURE-P. Please correct me where I ere but I think GEJ did a really poor job.

That money covers Nigeria budget for 2years plus because within that period, nigerian budget never gets to 4.5 trillion. Then if one company's royalty could paid off the govt 2years budget, where are the money sales of crude oil within these two years, what about monies paid by other oil and non oil companies within d period. While we expect that such payments should have results in high external reserve, our external reserve has rather drop to as low as $29 billion. Shame on Gej administration.

Nigerias Budget for
2014 - 4.695 trillion Naira (about 29.3 billion dollars)
2015 - 4.3 trillion Naira (about 23.8 billion dollars)

These figures does not include the state allocations for both years, sufficient to say that the $40 billion from Shell would cover the budget for 2 fiscal years conveniently.

This is while ignoring the Royalties paid by the other MNC in the oil sector, and also the Banks and Telecomms.

[b]Your line of argument to justify the nelipot president is filipendulous. The issue is not the budgetary spending, but the Jumentous corruption going on in the FG during Jonathan's term as the President. No matter how much he tries to dissociate himself from it, he's the most guilty one for not putting his cronies on a short leash.

I would normally ignore rhetoric responses which lacks tact as the information you sort is available in the public domain, but on this occasion, let me indulge you.

Sign the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) and let Nigeria fully control its resources but western interference has never allowed NORTHERN SENATORs see anything good in the bill as the oil companies and foreign embassies protecting their own interests make the Northerners to think that they will lose out if the PIB is passed.

Nigeria needs to stop collecting Royalties from Shell and other but think about doing it ourselves as we are not Niger Republic that produces Uranium but receives 5% royalty from French Company AREVA and remains a poor country in the midst of plenty.

Unbelieveable conclusion and inference from you right there.

Let me see, once you ignore the rot in the system and you wag your tails in agreement like someone suffering from knismesis, you are applauded.

But the moment you refuse to sing kumbayah in face of the gambrinous recklessness of the irresponsible President who performs cleptobiosis with his cronies, you become an APC member. undecided

I'm appalled at your line of reasoning to say the least.

Why are you appalled? you gave unbelievable figures as the gross budget of Nigeria, yet you are the one appalled undecided Correct your numbers and tell the forum the gross budget of the Nigerian Nation in 2014 and 2015 ( federal government plus the 36 states). Before you muddle up the salient points and try to sidestep the subject of discuss which is the bad management of our collective wealth as a nation, you need to read up on what the cause of this argument is.

The gentleman @Zubby77 requested for the FG's budget between 2003 to 2007 which I provided. I have since corrected the statement about the inclusion of the state government budget as erroneously stated, which further shows how dire the situation is.

Your sphallolalia would not do justice to the issue at hand, which points at he failure of your principal, and no amount of jingoism would change this.

If you have any information to help or justify your line of argument, do not desist from providing it. But to expect me to get the information for you would be foolhardy. My 2 cents.
