I think I disagree with you as regards the marketing budget.
The rule of thumb I apply is Film's Budget/2 = Marketing Budget.
So a film like Shazam might cost between 50 - 70 mill for marketing.
While a film like Endgame: 150 - 175 mill as marketing costs.
I find it hard to believe just 10 mill would be used as Shazam marketing costs.

it depends on how you look at it...The more successful the movie is,t he more Downey and co are paid...if avengers didn't make big bucks at the box office Downey Jr wouldn't be paid such amounts..
These guys after all are one the main reasons people pay to watch this movies..

Good, now those three actors collected a whooping combined $200m for infinity wars. It will increase for endgame and if they do another avengers it will increase further.
The same RDJr that started with a total pay of less than $600,000 now earns so high and it will get higher if they continue with them.

How much was Marvel's profit from infinity wars after factoring the whole budget and other cost?

Also, ask yourself, why let go of only these actors who are a huge brand to the franchise? Why not continue with them?

What's your thoughts about the movie

Got back late last night and I have to say it was awesome indeed, I liked it!

I especially enjoyed Zachary Levi as Shazam and the kid that played Billy's foster brother/best friend (who also played Eddie in IT), they were both great and very funny playing off each other.

In a way, I feel like Shazam is the antithesis to Aquaman, the former is little spectacle but all heart and personality, whereas the latter was all spectacle and no real heart or personality. I definitely know which I preferred. When Aquaman first came out I rated it 8/10, but on hindsight after repeated viewing, that later got knocked down to 6--6.5/10 because of the complete lack of interesting, likable characters in my opinion. I now rate Shazam a strong 8/10 and have a feeling it will stay at that rating upon second viewing because I overall enjoyed it much more.

My current ranking of DCEU movies:
1. WONDER WOMAN 8.5/10
2. SHAZAM! 8/10
3. MAN OF STEEL 7/10
4. AQUAMAN 6.5/10
5. BATMAN V SUPERMAN 5/10
6. JUSTICE LEAGUE 4.5/10

If you feel so, then I dig it.

I mainly look at these 3 things when make my choice:
1. How accurate to Comic book the choreography is;

2. Plot-wise (spend little of your time to rewatch BvS: UE before kicking against my inclusion)

3. How intense the characters can be when its necessary (not flimsy jokes here and there to cover lazy write up)

I haven't watched Shazam yet but if I were to rank DC movies, it would be like this:

1. BVS UE (8.5/10)
2. Man of Steel (8/10)
3. Wonder Woman (6/10)
4. Aquaman (6/10)
5. Suicide Squad (5/10)
6. Justice League (4.5/10)

C'mon. Everybody knows the martial arts will be done by stunt doubles. Elba would be really good for Bronze Tiger.
