Its quite a wonderful news given that Imo state has been in times past almost counted out as an oil producing state.i just hope our case will not be worst than the people of Rivers&Bayelsa.the Government of Imo state should utilise this oppourtunity to create more jobs for imo youths or else we start blowing up oil installations of which i will gladly partake in. |

Na your type ? *hisss* sheer stupidity is what I've been seeing on this thread. If oil alone could bring wealth Angola would be the richest country in the world considering their population. Let me tell you, if There's no stability, transparency and integrity(qualities totally missing in the Nigerian context), a country will continue running but never take off. DRC sits on more natural resources than any other country in the world but cannot even feed itself. |

I dont see why ndigbo should be over rejoicing over this development, unless we have agreed dat ikwerre, etche, obigbo, onelga, anioma are no longer igboland, the imo state oil discovery is a goodnews,we have always known that igboland has the largest crude oil deposit in nigeria, now all the state governors in igboland must commence oil exploration in their territories, with scientists looking for alternative energy solution, ndiigbo must benefit from this crude oil reserve while it is still profitable before it becomes another coal. |

Very oil own states in Nigeria will continue to claim that theirs is the biggest oilwell. In case of my dear state, ondo state. Dangote's vision of building the largest oil reinery @ Olokola Ondo State which will have the capability of producting 400,000 barrel of crude oil per day. The other three refineries that we've in Nigeria, togather they are producting 445,000 per day and that shows each of these refineries are producting less than 250,000 per day. So latest by 2016 ondo state will become the largest oil producting state in Nigeria. The President of Dangote group of companies says that some of the reasons ondo state was choose is because it is one of the deepest seaport in the country, and another reason is because of stable oil and the peace in the state. Dangote says the refinery will provide job for 8,000 engineers and 85,000 Nigerians unemployment youths. |

Each oil producting state will continue to claim dey have the largest oil, even wen dey dont have much. Imo state is the 2nd or 3rd that is collecting the less money in all the 9 oil producting state in Nigeria. |
