MzJackBaueress:
the struggle for fuel continues.

It is well with Nigeria

This struggle for fuel was forgotten most of all the last five years.

Sure with Buhari the struggle shall be worse given the factors that are most likely to emerge.

Nothing more than fuel scarcity can grind a country's economy and citizens to more abject poverty.

Anyhow, Nigerians called for that. That's what tribal/religious bigotry brought the country with the last presidential election.

This piece of news sickens my belly. Had it been that the soldiers were gallant enough, they would have storm Sambisa forest and order Shekau and his boys to lie down facing the sun. Rubbish power show!!!!

They were punished for fighting in public nah.

So u have justified their action? Why can't we just open our eyes in this country? This is a democracy, the soldiers can only arrest you for committing a serious crime not fighting in public. They should have taken them to the nearest police station. What they did was wrong...pls do not justify it, rather learn your rights as a Nigerian

democracy doesn't mean causing chaos where does your own right begin and the next mans right stop.even in the west they kill people anyhow.the police there.so if you are in fuel queue and decide to be a nuisance please be assured one day you might just lie down and face the sun

See wahala. Some soldiers stormed Fatgbems,Mile 2 Lagos Filling Station today and gave some civilians the punishment of their lives.

Because of fuel scarcity in some states in Nigeria including Lagos and federal government's plan to remove fuel subsidy, fuel marketers decided to stop fuel distribution temporary. As a result of the scarcity, some Lagosians were involved in fighting and exchange of words today while trying to queue up to get fuel at Fatgbems filing station in Mile 2.Few minutes, soldiers came and ordered them to lie down on the ground and face the sun for about 30minutes.They later left after giving them the treatment of their lives.

bros don't pity nigerians . This is what they deserve and this is the only language they understand . If you try to talk to them respectfully, they will call u clueless or retardeen, the only way to make nigerians respect and obey u is just to brutalize and dehumanise them.

How are you sure they weren't hired by the managers of that filling station... cos they do in ma area.
Soldiers are no security guards. Its because our military has become denigrated so much that any petrol station can afford to keep soldiers as security guards. I weep for Nigeria and Nigerian army

Sorry, I'm a strict disciplinarian by nature.
And I assure you that I can't do that uncouth sh*t they did.
Is it part of our rights to 'hurt' fellow civilians as well; to disrupt peace?
Even at that, your right ceases to be a right when it infringes on the well being of others.

Weakling.

Are you the one that has been advancing towards there during this past days? Has your life been constantly in danger due to exploding mines? Were you the one that rescued close to 300 citizens of Nigeria from there yesterday and the day before?

The only thing you seem to know how to do is sit down in the comfort of your home and spill nonsense on nairaland.

in the first case, why should they result to fighting? That's social disturbance and sure immoral behavior shouldn't be cordon. Though, that doesn't justify the humiliating treatment the soldiers gave them.
