It is pretty hard to come up with a list of standard, flawless top 50 contemporary albums to have blessed our ears in this shores, due in part to having just few outstanding or monumental releases as most are bang average.

After much deliberations and weigh-ins, we have been able to muster a list of those that can stand or have actually stood the test of time.

The following albums are considered to be worthy of replay value, and also worthy of being in our music shelves/catalog as archives for generations to come.

These are albums that are beyond radio hits, where put into consideration are the substantive contents, concepts, musical arrangements, productions, as well as significant impact, acceptance and influence.

This list is basically our opinion and might/will get to change over the years as more studio releases trickle in. The list covers releases that can be classified under the Afro-pop, Contemporary Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul and Jazz genres.

You probably have other albums you feel are left out, feel free to share your opinions with us….

The list is wack joor...even M.I's MI2 should be on top of his other albums and that 2face's album containing African Queen should be on top of his other albums....and what about that old school songs?......you should rather say top 50 albums of decade...
