“Just last week, we received a circular from the Minister of Petroleum asking workers to hand over to the person that bought it. So, we refused and that was how the problem started.

Our argument is that the asset was not advertised so that people will bid for it. This was done under cover and that is illegal.

The MD of NPDC an Engineering/Geology outfit is a Lawyer with absolutely no experience in oil and gas business. You may be tempted to forgive his technical ineptitude by assuming he makes up for it as a good administrator but that's hardly the case.
He was planted as a mole to transfer operatorship to madam and her cronies.His track record speaks for itself as he had done same with Niger Delta Power Holding Company. This is another attempt to sell Nigeria to a few thieves.

if it is sold at right price and due process then no problem. the issue is that the people in high offices destroy these companies' reputation, starve them of funds for maintenance and sell them cheaply to themselves (e.g. eleme petrochemicals). Indorama is still using the same nnpc workers and they are producing optimally.
if the govt(minister/president) of the day is not corrupt, nnpc will not be corrupt.
