The complex housing major government offices in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, is on fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, but thick smokes has engulfed the building and surrounding ones.

Workers in the building were seen scampering for safety while a good number of staff and visitors are
trapped in the complex.

Our correspondents say fire fighters have just arrived the scene.
