The chant and drumbeat of "change" has faded already. What a gwang, my people? grin

The hitherto noisy spectator has lost steam sooner than later in the arena of political leadership.

Atiku Abubakar was the most prepared of all the Presidential Candidates, Buhari just rode on the crest of Nigeria's desperate desire for change

That was the kind of assumptions that drove Nigeria into the hands of a Fulani cattle-rearer.

Nigerians cannot just admit that governance is not all about theoretical frameworks but execution (practicality).

No matter how smooth your formula is, it can't be appreciated until it has been tested or being tested.

Atiku Abubakar has never held any full executive position known to anyone anywhere.

How his "blueprints on every sector" would have translated to any meaningful thing is not clear to any serious human being, it is just a conjecture, it has no basis in his pedigree.

A similar assumption was made for the current Daura cattle-herdsman.

Imaginary assumptions, some of which are as ridiculous and as comical as Nollywood movies, were bandied about his omnipotence.

Every discerning mind would by now know that those were foolish and infantile premises.

Some of his supporters are already ruing their emotional choice, secretly regretting Buhari's ascendance, but praying he does something magical for them to have a bragging right.

His other violent herds are not interested in reasons though.

Serious people look for, select, groom and prop candidates from the ranks of middle level executives.

Those who have been tested in managing people and resources effectively at lower level are highly recommended for higher responsibilities.

No reasonable country look for saints or magicians or religious zealots to lead them, they encourage credible, fairly charismatic and godly leaders.

Neither do focused people based their lives on some untested blueprints but action plans based on past execution with strategies adjusted for current realities.

For whatever they are worth, Atiku Abubakar's so-called blueprints should at least have an example in one or two states before we can even say let's take a look at it.

No nation puts its future in trial and error mode in perpetuity.

People like this just don't get it that the Buhari government hasn't been installed to run another stereotype government that comes in to patch things up here and there but most things left untouched, undone or in a worse state like the PDP has done for the past 16 years. A horrific cycle of vision-less leadership. No, the Buhari government has been installed by we patriotic Nigerians for a complete overhaul of the old ineffective system of governance and rebuilding of a new better functioning system. We don't want a quick fix that gives us a false perception of progress in the short run but gets us nowhere in the long run. Rather we want a permanent solution that will stand the test of time and usher Nigeria to a better future. We are tired of the typical failed PDP schemes and vision 2020 projects that are nothing but abject myths that never leaves anything meaningful done.

This is not another PDP-to-PDP government transition, but a new government party entirely. So realistically, it could take about six months for Buhari's government to get their feet on the ground; but the good news is once the feet is down eventually and Buhari's government will surely run and once it starts running, I expect wonderful things will happen in Nigeria and to Nigeria and Nigerians. The Buhari government just has no other choice but to perform.

REALISTICALLY?

So you "the people" know something about REALITY after all.

It's getting more interesting.

From "hitting the ground running from day one" to "100 days" it has now been extended to a "six-month-reality-show".

In a four-year mandate that is.

BRAINLESS PRESIDENT FUCKEN GENERAL

From the look of things.

Imam Buhari seems to have been preparing more for "dogs and baboon's blood" than governing Nigeria.

It does seems that he wasn't actually preparing for the governance but for war.

That's why all that has happened since he took over is bloodshed and more bloodshed across the country.

And less and less governance.

They may have prepared those guys to go on massive killing spree, thinking Jonathan would be unreasonable like them.

And those tanker explosions across the country are looking orchestrated.

Who knows how they may have structured the explosions.

Fact is if we want change in this country let's allow an experienced man take his time to pick the right ones. And I hope y'all ain't expecting total change within 4years.....

How can you access Buhari in just 7 days from His Inuguration into office and say he is already failing...?
As for me The former general is doing perfect.

Day of inauguration Saturday 29th of May 2015.
He announced his plans for this Nation order the relocation of Army command center and made clear he won't be destracted with old scores

Sunday 30th of May 2014
Received dignetries from around the world and congratulatory

Day 1 in office Monday 31st May 2015
Appointed Spokes person had meeting with NSA on State of nations security

Day 2 in office Tuesday 1st June 2015
Had meeting with chief of air, Army & Naval staff with police IG and NSA

Day 3 in office Wednesday 2nd June 2015
Traveled to Niger republic to discuss how to takel boko haram with the president and how to reorganize RMNJTF

Day 4 in office Wednesday 3rd June 2015
Went to Chad to discuss with the president of chad on how to create regional stability and over come the menace of Boko Haram

Day 5 in office Thursday 4th June 2015
Appointed the person to head the RMNJTF a Nigerian commander and discuss the acceleration of Central command to Maiduguri

Day 6 in office Friday 5th June 2015
Meet with oil marketers and discuss how to increase PEtrol supply for the main time and also ha dinner with Nigeria Ambasadors..

Day 7 in office Saturday 6th June 2015
Travelled to Germany to attend G7 summit despites Nigeria not being a member bt among the 7 countries invited.

While the president was carrying out these various activities, the VP attented an inauguration in Sudan

Let's not forget with in this space of time Buhari has dealt with other several issues like having to appoint his ADC, Issuing directive to security personnel at airports not to harrase former officials of the past government, Also issued directive to ministers not to approve Contacts except Chief accountans and heads of ministries. And Buhari is even yet to enter the villa and as at then the new senate is yet to be formed....

QUESTION..
When last did we have a president working and not complaining that the troubles facing Nigerians in this country where not caused by him so no one should expect him to find solutions to them or even try to solve them

Clowns comparing David Cameron, an incumbent PM at the time of the UK elections (of a state with an established structure for eons) with Buhari, a newly sworn-in President, of a country with a totally dis-stabilized and degenerated political structure, all because of political points.

Funny how they claim they already know Buhari will fail, yet every thread they open to criticise him, they inadvertently show that their souls too are secretly craving change. Why complain when you already claim to know?

Actors who filled the political climate in the last dispensation had no blueprint to change anything. And for 6 years, they never came up with anything useful. Yet we expect someone outside the cartel (knowing fully how things operate in Nigeria) to have full knowledge of proceedings and hereby have a blueprint before assuming office.

Buhari is a wise man. And when he states that "studies are under-way", I would expect any intelligent Nigerian (not previously living in Sambisa forest) to understand that no single person outside the previous government, can ever have a full understanding why things do not work.

It should not take a genius to know that not until Buhari assumes office, can he have access to the true extent of the waste, depletion, incompetence and sabotage that have ravaged the system. It should not take a genius to know that if Buhari claimed to have a blueprint on inauguration day, he would have been lying. And most importantly, that blueprint would be worthless when faced with the true state of affairs.

This is why I feel that at this moment, Buhari is on point and these noise-makers are desperate for fame. Let these busy bodies continue to blow hot air while the ones who mean business are going about it quietly.

Being a TANOID is now synonymous to being hopeless? @first bolded, you need to ask yourself how important you really are in the grand scheme of things cos your being a doomsayer will not affect the hair on anyone's head, while at it, please remember that Nigeria is not the romance section of NL.
@second bolded, how can a sane person even think about this? That your country is beyond redemption? What are you? So, if Jonathan's administration is reinstalled then the country will go back to being the paradise it used to be under Jonathan's administration?
Pls, we understand that Nairaland helps to boost ego for some of you but take it easy with all your negativity and bitterness due to GEJs loss, cos whatever happens in Nigeria happens to each and everyone of us.
How I wish you would permanently relocate to the politics section.
