As a concern Nigerians we are totally and unequivocally against the directive of mr President Gen Buhari To Move the entire Nigeria Top Officers to Maiduguri with the military command center this move lacks any logical advantage except its an indirect ploy to Eliminate all Top ranking Generals in the Nigeria army under the guise of fighting Boko Haram..

Nigerians cannot afford to loss any single top Ranking Military General to the marauding Terrorists and their safety is topmost in our agenda..


What will happen tomorrow if we wake up to the sad news that the Chief of Army Staff General Kenneth have been be shot by an unidentified Gun Men believed to be Boko Haram members?

The Entire National security will be jeopardized and most importantly it will be seen as a new repetition of the 1966 episode where army officers from certain part of the Country are systematically Eliminated under a false Guise . Buhari need to convince the citizenry on the rationale of putting the life of our top military Top Brass into serious high risk. MAIN NEWS ARTICLE: Military bows to Buhari, moves Command, control centre to Maiduguri

Following President Muhammad Buhari’s directives to military to move its command centre to Maiduguri, the Borno state capital fight Boko Haram sect, the authorities of the Nigerian Army has heeded to the order and concluded arrangement for all Service Chiefs to move in tomorrow (Tuesday).

The establishment of the Command centre for ‘Operation Zaman Lafiya’ was contained in a press statement signed by the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman and made available to our Correspondent in Maiduguri on Monday.

“In compliance with Presidential pronouncement and the Chief of army Staff’s directive, a reconnaissance and advance team for the establishment of Military Command and Control Centre (MCCC) for Operation Zaman Lafiya for the fight against terrorism and insurgency has moved to Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.

“The team, which is led by a Two -Star General, has already commenced work in earnest and it is comprised of elements of the officer of the Chief of Army Staff, all the relevant Army Headquarters Departments and other combat support components. The centre will serve as a forward command base for the Chief of Army Staff and other service chiefs.

“The centre is essentially an elaboration of an already existing Army Headquarters Command and Control arrangement. From now on, the fight against terrorism and insurgency would be monitored, coordinated and controlled from this centre.

“I wish to inform you also that its establishment would not create another layer of Command structure but would add impetus and renewed vigour to Operation Zaman Lafiya, all aimed at bringing terrorism and insurgency to an end.

“However, an alternate command centre is also being established in Yola, the Adamawa state capital of the north east”. Colonel Usman stated. End.

So apparently the military top brass are entitled to sit in comfort in abuja while the troops (with their poor accommodation, medical services, food etc) are easily sacrificed at the frontlines? No, a leader of troops should know what they are experiencing and their proximity will ensure they take their work seriously, and prosecute the war more efficiently. 5 years and people still have the nerve to suggest we continue as usual? Jonathan is gone, and that lackadaisical approach has gone with him.

Is like America making Irag its head quarters of its army top shots because it wants to fight ISIL, if in case of eventually the loss all of them what will happen to the American Army. Lay back, Plan and launch to be is the best tactics! .....and what is the reason for the presidents decision to do this, its really not clear to me..

Since the Generals need to be at the front line to get the feel of the fight against insurgency, isn't it logical that the commander in Chief also move to Borno so that he can supervise the Generals at the front line and also get firsthand information from the battle field?
