In the U.S., it's carzy! The American-born or American-brought-up Naija girls are over-represented in the pool of Naija babes for obvious reasons tied to the gender selectivity of migration. While among the guys, the American-born or American-brought-up guys mainly go for Whites or Asians because they (Whites and Asians) are more (combined) than Black women, and many of these guys do not have any special preference for black women - unlike the Nigerian-born/Nigerian-raised Naija men. The Nigerian-born guys on the other hand generally prefer Naija babes.

So,  what you have is many American-born or American-brought-up Naija girls (or African-African Americans for the most part) and many Nigerian-born Naija girls. Now, these two don't get along very well. The Nigerian-born Naija guys now seek out the relatively few Nigerian-born/Nigerian-raised Naija girls in the U.S. - a tall order. When that option is exhausted (pretty much the case most times), the Nigerian-born Naija guy goes back to Nigeria to marry - some expand their options to West-African-born/West-African-raised West-African girls.

The American-born or American-brought-up Naija babe is usually lumped in with the huge mass of African-American and Caribbean-American women. Now, their reputation for being confrontational, loud, drama-seeking, materialistic, stubborn, disrespectful, etc. is noted by most men, and this does not help their situation.

If there is any way to make the American-born/American-raised Naija women and the Nigerian-born/Nigerian-raised Naija men to get along, this problem will be solved, for the most part.

@Poster, its a case of two different culture (society) at war with our thinking. we are to see each other as loving species regardless of the society one comes from but we are now faced with a changed society that determines our thinking not we thinking for the society concerning loving each other as God so loved the world.
