Also, bear in mind some folks are not educated enough to differentiate between better and best place to send their wards for the purpose of obtaining an internationally-recognized degree(s), instead they go with recommendation(s) from others (family, family friends, neighbours, colleagues, business associates, and in most cases friends of their wards).

Guys, there are many Naijas doing yahoo n admission scam here in malaysia, My advice for those who want to come to malaysia for school should check the school website very well. And it is advisable to apply to schools that are accredited, based on world ranking and owned by government. In malaysia government institutions are better than private n cheaper. Those universities will not ask U to pay for school or Visa fee, only little processing fee which is not more than $100.

Moreso, No work in Malaysia, don't be deceived that U will get work n be schooling. U can only get work if U r Arab, provided Ur skin is black no work for U, except drugs, yahoo work and sleeping with their women who are divorce and they pay Ur bills and feed U. Pls my Naija people, is good to travel n come n school here in malaysia coz they have the facilities, if not nothing is here. Full of Racism..................

about the stuff you said "you can't work and school here"...nope...not true...three of my Nigerian friends work here ...at subway (she's even almost at the post of the branch manager), my other friends work in tony Roma's and TGIF respectively...I work also part time for a record label here as an instrumentalist and I get paid handsomely...I have many niggas here working in cafes and all part time...goto Chinese weddings and bars you'd find me playing drums with my band (only darkie in the band the rest are Chinese Malaysians).when you're different you get anything others can't get...there is racism everywhere not only here but once you're clean here you'd make it...

PS: my cousin worked here in the palm oil research industry and changed jobs twice...there's a lot I can tell...if a place isn't working for others doesn't mean it would not work for other sets too...heads up always

There are few companies that hires fresh graduates at entry levels, mostly those who study professional course(s), e.g IT. It all depends on luck and if you are OK with the salary or NOT. As far as those who'd graduated studying medicine are concerned, I really can't say anything about them.

I'm as confused as yourself. This is a story about a Nigerian 'graduate' who was too stupid to figure out he's travelling to Malaysia on a visitor's visa and expect to get a job and start school without applying either. On a visitor's visa! Common, no sympathies!

For Nigerians who re sincere about starting a new life anywhere in the world for that matter, please don't be deterred by stories like this one. Immigration law is there to guide you through a seamless and happy relocation. It's not there to be violated without consequences. If you re unsure consult with immigration experts. When the immigration officers re doing their job within the law, it's about border security. Do as you re told and nobody will ever treat you like a criminal anywhere in the world.

Why do people leave Nigeria to other countries? It's perhaps the same reason why most people leave the countryside and villages to places like Lagos and Abuja. The difference here is that you chose to go to Lagos, he decided to go a Malaysia city. Nothing is wrong with that. Nigeria is a huge country and the idea is we will continue to impact values everywhere on earth. And I want to say here that most Nigerians been doing just that for ages. We ain't daft as a nation but when individuals decide to bring wahala to themselves in the name of travelling abroad we will have to ask how accountable they ought to be. I'm sure there're very successful Nigerians in Malaysia. So why wouldn't I go to Malaysia if I got it all planned out. I mean as a good Nigerian citizen.

I think the story is not totally a lie. It is a guide for those willing to travel to the country.
But from those videos on youtube which I believe was not uploaded by Op,there are elements of truth in his write up. Our people suffer alot in these foreign lands. Many are dead without their families knowing, they die out of frustration, betrayals, illegal deals like keyboard things, drug, rape issues, stealing,being in prison for having expired or illegal papers, running of cash etc.

Our government should just provide basic infrastructure like electricity, good roads, security and see how numbers of people travelling abroad will reduce.
