it means that under the constitution. we have enough senators and enough member house of rep to leave Nigeria now.
And you see, we want change , look all the teachers in the western niger of Nigeria have gone on strike because of this cheating. some of them have not been paid for month, while other state pay thier own teachers.
They have to remove us from nigeria. and we join the republic of Benin. If not you are asking for trouble in future. Look. the other option is to make the NEW republic of Benin part of Nigeria, under an agreement to be part of the common wealth of Nigeria.
If you fail, we would have no other option to introduce a currency other than the naira and use it in the western niger area of Nigeria and including bayelsa state. Which we are allowed under a federal system of government. In the USA , apart from Dollar, there is BerkShares use in massachusett.

Teachers’ Strike Paralyses Schools in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo

Pupils in all public schools in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Kwara States were sent home yesterday, as their teachers, under the aegis of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), commenced an indefinite strike to protest government's delay in implementing the 27.5 per cent Teachers’ Salary Structure (TSS).
The Union and the Governors’ Forum, comprising all the 36 governors of the Federation, had last year when the NUT embarked on a similar strike agreed that the payment of the TSS would commence January this year.
The strike followed a directive by the National Executive Council (NEC) of the union, ordering the 25 states, where the respective governments were yet to implement the agreement, to resume the suspended strike.
When THISDAY visited some schools in Lagos metropolis yesterday, the students, who had resumed in school, were seen going back home around 9 am with confusion and uncertainty written all over their faces.
A pupil of Unity Primary School, Amuwo Odofin, Mile II, Bose Olalekan, said their teachers asked them to go back home.
Another Senior Secondary III student of Ajeromi Ifelodun High School, Miss Chinasa Ume, said she had not fully recovered from the previous strike and the current indefinite strike would affect her studies and might disrupt her final examination if allowed to linger.
Gates of some primary and secondary schools visited by THISDAY in the Kwara State capital, Ilorin, also remained shut yesterday as the teachers also joined the strike.
As early as 7.30 am, students who came to school were disappointed as the teachers were nowhere to be seen. At St. Barnabas, St. Mark’s and St. Joseph Primary schools in the Lanjorin area, as well as Queen Elizabeth School, Government Secondary School and St. Mark’s Secondary School, students were seen roaming about the school compound.
Chairman of the Lagos wing of the NUT, Mr. Michael Alogba Olukoya, said the union took the decision after series of meeting it had with the Deputy Governor and members of the state House of Assembly ended in a stalemate.
He said the government had promised to implement the TSS last month, but reneged, adding that the government said the delay was as a result of the global recession and the ongoing construction and renovation works in schools.
According to him, the union had given the state government a 21-day ultimatum, which expired on Tuesday, saying all public schools in the state would be closed until its demands were met.
Deputy Chairman of the union, Mr. Sanni Kamaldeen, said the strike could have been averted if the state government had respected the agreement it had with the union and was committed to the welfare of its teachers.
Speaking with newsmen in Ilorin yesterday, the state Chairman of the NUT, Alhaji Umaru Akanbi, said there was no going back on the strike and that the union would not accept the purported plan by the state government to pay their new TSS in phases as there was no agreement to that effect with the state government.
The Osun State government has stated categorically that it could not pay the new salary now, considering the state’s revenue.
An Osogbo High Court had last week restrained the state Chapter of the union from embarking on strike. The Chief Judge of the state, Justice Fasasi Ogunsola, granted the interim injunction restraining the union.
In Ogun State members of the NUT joined their counterparts to resume their suspended strike.
Chairman, Ogun State chapter of the NUT, Mr Sam Idowu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the teachers had no choice but to resume the strike, which was suspended in August 2008.
In Oyo State, the strike was effective as gates to most primary and secondary school were locked, while the pupils were seen roaming the streets.
A teacher in one of the primary schools at Oke-Ado, Ibadan, who craved anonymity said the union was determined to stay at home until their demands were met.
However, schools visited in Akure, Ondo State capital, by THISDAY teachers were seen teaching their students despite the fact that the state government had told the NUT that it could not pay the TSS.
The national body had embarked on an indefinite strike in June last year. The strike, which lasted five weeks was as a result of Federal Government's non-issuance of an enabling circular to enforce the Teachers Salary Structure (TSS).
When all efforts by the union to move government to action failed, the Governors' Forum, presided over by Governor Bukola Saraki of Kwara State intervened.
Its meeting with representatives of the NUT and the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) on July 28 ended with the inauguration of a committee to engage in dialogue with the teachers to bring an end to the strike.
Both parties had agreed on a 27.5 per cent increase on prevailing basic salaries in each state as recommended by the Technical Committee as a benchmark.
