Honda anyday.

Hyundai has changed. Cant wait to get a test drive of the new 2.0 turbo and the 3.3 v6 making 290bhp. I drove the 2.4l i4 of the 2011 sonata that made 200hp and trust me its superb. Coming down to the 1.6turbo with 201hp on the 2013 hyundai veloster which i tested too. Trust me.. hyundai has changed! Id go for the sonata.

Buying with my money, give me Honda. Having it as a gift, give me Hyundai. That's the 2015 models only.

For resale value: Honda


For many added options and luxury: Hyundai

The new Hyundai sonata is pretty hot
It looks better than the accord by far
Especially the Turbo charged sport edition

I prefer it to the accord

One on one with no emotion attached Sonata beats Accord.

The history of reliability is what keeps Accord in play here because the Sonata offers a lot more techie stuff

I am an Honda man, but I must confess that the Accord looks rather bland compared to the Sonata. I haven't driven or been in any of the two so I might not be able to tell which would outperform the other.

Going by the looks in the pix, I would go for the Sonata any day anytime...

who dares compares hyunda with honda,like one said honda is still popular coz of its reputation not becoz of its classic designs.....bottomline,its just a chip of the old block

I would go with the 2015 Hyundai Sonata.

Lol. The sonata, even though has greatly improved and they did a good job on this, but Hyundai are still trying to do too much hence the car kinda looks more like a toy. The accord on the other hand looks bold and matured. Someone said the accord looks bland, lol. Well he confessed he hasn't driven either so I won't blame him. He should drive it first and come back and tell us if it looks bland. The new Honda eathdream engine is a BOMB especially with VCM.

To me the accord looks better on the outside. In the inside the sonata looks great with almost every tech included, but u can also find all those things in the accord touring. Oh and the accord coupe is a BEAST.

The accord exterior design is simple. I love it more for its simplicity. Too much spice spoils a soup.

Tho the accord has a good history based on it predecessors , but lets appreciate good things

True the Hyundai sonata looks really good, but Honda has maintained its legacy on the accord and they improved in the drivetrain department introducing a new and better engine. It is good to have fierce competition in the mid class family sedan , win win for us consumers. Gone are the days when Camry, accord and maybe altima rule in this segment.

The new KIA optima looks equally good (if not better than the sonata and accord, definitely better than the Camry). Looking at the interior u might think it is a BMW.







If u ask me the new accord, sonata, optima and altima are way ahead of the Camry. Toyota needs to improve or they might just become the new blackberry.

People in developed countries don't really bother about the reliability anymore sef except they want to keep the automobile till 400,000km which is rare. I mean most cars these days would give you 5 years warranty or 100,000 km. You can even buy an extended warranty too. Also, by the time an automobile reaches 120,000 km, people are already trading it for a newer model/design. Even in Nigeria where people hammer on reliability, who would drive his 2014/15 model camry car down to mufu the roadside mechanic's shop
For earlier model/years tokunbo cars, reliability would be important though.

when talking of looks hyundai is a brand that gives their cars curve like designs compared to the accord. so we are looking at it from two different perspective. I'm an Accord fan also. but truth be told Hyundai is also getting gradually noticed

I hope you have seen and driven what we are talking about and not taking your impression from the 10 year old carson Nigerian roads.

In the Auto industry the best players make significant changes in their model line up and Hyundai, Kia, Ford, GM are the biggest players out there if you are comparing the difference in standard equipment change every model year.

When I compare hyundai to a toyota luxurious car the Hyundai was my favorite so you have to see to believe.

What do you mean by quality of material
Modern car manufacturers all use composites materials nowadays to give the best mpg's as that is one of the features consumers consider when shopping for automobiles. The Camry is still the taxi drivers favourite in the country I live though. Snapped the picture below on my way back from work some minutes ago.
