Good morning,
Please I applied to Ghent University on the 29th of December and I didn’t get any reply from them till now. Can I still go for my certificate authentication in the ministry of education and ministry of foreign affairs and also for my legalization or should I hold till I hear from the school.
I already asked my school to post my qualifications cos I applied for my masters
Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 1:02pm On Jan 07

I think you should email the course coordinator and explain the situation.

It might be that the school does not accept EPL

your previous school in Nigeria can issue you certify copy of your degree certificate but not your transcript. For your transcript. It is either you have it yourself or you ask your school to send it to the Belgium embassy for legalization. Mind you, you have to go to MOE & MOAF before legalizing at the Belgium Embassy
Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by bj000: 10:23pm On Jan 23
thanks but i did authentication from the ministry of education and and foreign affairs which was an original and photocopy but is not a certified copy from the school what can i do then
Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by bj000: 10:34pm On Jan 23

some of those schools wants English proficiency result and not letter from either toefl, ilets and the likes.
I will just advice that your write toefl since it's faster or if you have written any apart from proficiency letter, you can upload it.
I wrote Ghent University stating this and they said they want English proficiency result and not letter.

You can also write the school to be sure

are you saying that if one makes photocopy of His original certificate and legalise it at Belgium embassy, it will not be accepted?

Re: Anyone Studying In Belgium? by konja44: 1:55am On Jan 24
in Ugent if you study in English for ur bachelor, EPL is ok for some programmes, others will ask test score like ielts. In KU Leuven u need test scores like ielts for all programmes . only those who studies inn USA, Canada, UK, Australia can use EPL. that is clearly stated in the email they sent. Try and take ielt s den

Yes sir/ma they will not accept it ooo, except you go to your school and collect the certified copy

The thing here is that, if you are going for masters you dont need to legalize waec but MOE will make it compulsory for you to authenticate it and you can as well do that at MOFA, but no need to legalize it at the Belgium embassy. But if you are going for undergraduate program then you need to do all

,They will not accept it at the Belgium embassy. So you have to go to your school for certify true copy. Take photocopy of your certificate to your school they will sign and stamp certify true copy on it then you can use it at the Belgium embassy. You dont need to go to the MOE once you have been there before

If i may get you right, the documents required by Ghent University, which is listed in the mail sent to you by Ghent Admission officer. You are to get all the documents. For the legalization, the process is to start from MOE, then MOFA and then Belgium embassy, then thereafter you send all together by courier to your school in Belgium (Ghent)

Hello guys. Please I am new in this whole studies process and of course I have read previous pages. Can I still apply for a masters program for this year 2020 session? Also, can I apply direct to any university without legalizing my documents at the MOE?

Regards!
