Hushpuppi has been denied bail in the US, his lawyer Gal Pissetzky insists he is an Instagram celebrity, not a fraudster.



His lawyers had applied for him to be granted bail and placed on house arrest. But US prosecutors opposed the bail application.

UAE’s The National shared that prosecutors said he could commit crimes with just a smartphone and an internet connection while on house arrest. And also HushPupi is a flight risk.
Reacting to the prosecutors’ argument, Pissetzky said his client had too much to lose if he flees from the United States.

Serge Aurier’s brother Shot dead After North London Derby. The brother of Tottenham right-back Serge Aurier has been shot dead in Toulouse, France, the Premier League club have confirmed.

Local police reports say that Christophe Aurier was shot twice in the chest outside a nightclub in the city center before being taken to Toulouse University Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 5 am on Monday morning.

FG: WAEC Exams Start In August. For most states, the resumption date for school to resume is July 6, 2020. But for Lagos state, the government approved August 3, 2020, for schools to resume.

Liverpool Cleared to Sign Dembele in €60m deal. Liverpool are strongly linked to Ousmane Dembele, according to reports in Spain.

The club is reportedly scouring the market for an alternative attacker. Dembele has been previously linked but the price wasn’t right.

Reports from Mundo Deportivo, claims Barcelona informed the Reds of a new, low asking price for Dembele. As per the report, Dembele’s new price of between €50m and €60m.

Apple iPhone 12 Will Not Include Headphones. Apple will be removing a key hardware feature from the iPhone 12 packaging.

Forbes report has backed up claims that Apple will not be including a pair of EarPods with the iPhone 12 handsets when they are released. The details came from Benjamin Mayo:

“…he is hearing the same: “our checks that likely no wired EarPods will come in the iPhone 12 box/packaging”. Ultimately, this will help Apple drive sales of its wireless AirPods earbuds ever higher.
“The Wedbush analyst believes that Apple will sell 85 million AirPods units in 2020, compared to 65 million estimated in 2019.”

This matches up with reports from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He said Removing the EarPods from the packaging offers a number of financial benefits to Apple. But that increased margin comes at the cost of diminishing the user experience.

Yobe State Police have arrested an 80-year old man, Mohammed Bara’u for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl.

Mr. Mohammed was arrested after the case was reported by Bade Local Govt Shari’a Committee and some local NGOs.
Dally Post Reports the old randy wood seller had been persuading the girl using chocolate. But last Sunday, he succeeded in sending the girl to pick something from his room. Immediately the 10-year-old entered the room, the old man followed her and force himself on her.

Medical examination at the General Hospital in Gashu’a revealed that the girl was defiled while the suspect has equally confessed to the crime.

JAMB Confirms Admission Dates for Peg, Post UTME. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said that the 2020 admissions process would commence by August 2020.

JAMB also said due to the global pandemic, dates for the deadline have not been fixed.

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, shared this during a presentation of the policy considerations at the 2020 Policy Meeting. He also said all institutions, must not charge more than N2000 for their post UTME exams.

”Following the country’s uncertainty in the events of the pandemic, a date for the deadline has not been decided yet but would be communicated later by the Ministry of Education.

Lagos State government has announced the suspension of the re-opening of churches and mosques in the state.

If you recall the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had announced that Mosques will re-open on Friday, June 19 while churches will reopen on June 21.

NYSC To Be Suspended For Two Years. The Vice-president of Nigeria “Yemi Osinbajo” has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to suspend the NYSC orientation camp for two years.

This recommendation was made by The Economic Sustainability Committee (ESC) due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the suspension of the orientation camp deployment of the primary assignment will still go on.
According to the report “The immediate focus in the Education sector is to address the disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
