My childhood friend who is a soldier was part of the troop that fought the insurgents somewhere in Borno State. He came back around November last year and did thanksgiving in the church. as we were chitchatting during the reception, he showed us his friends photos of massive massacre of Nigerian Soldiers by the terrorists and badly lamented the poor equipping of the troops. He confirmed that the insurgents were better equipped than the soldiers, that ordinarily the terrorists are no match to the soldiers in combat.
