Hi, does the N70 at higher level include Labour cost or moving the blocks to the higher floor for use or that is separate?

Both 6" and 9" at ground level, but higher up, 9" hollow is N70. 6" hollow can be negotiated at N60 still. But they will be telling you that after the work you should 'bless' them.

That is the total cost if you are using direct labour. If you are using contractor, you may be charged additionally for carrying the block. I normally use direct labour for straightforward jobs.

Makes sense.

So far I've been doing direct labour @ N50 flat rate for block setting irrespective of the floor level and additional N10 for lifting the block to 1st & 2nd floors.

Tilers experience also add to cost...

just price withing that range if yours are normal tiles.... OR what's your tiler charging?

He charged 150k for 191sqm, I priced it to 100k. Though, I won't commit myself totally until I'm satisfied that the amount I'm paying is mutually beneficial

OK (100k) IS FAIR ENOUGH - you can even get it done for less (say 80k) ... @N400 / m2

Thanks... I guess I messed up at first. I didn't ask him how much he charges /m^2. I will now confront him with the facts to get a better bargain. For our NL tilers, please post pictures of your works here, the job is still available for the best.
