Initialize has be duped. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=486580.0;wap i have gotten series of scam emails saying that they have the tv receiver in bulk and its 8k, and i have received another saying she saw my email on nairaland and she wants us to be lovers, "i tell am say i dey find wife?" please i started dis thread, if any claims he has the receiver and u are willing to do business with him,u are on ur own,if u are sending anything to somebody in another state,pls collect ur money first.honestly the good ones stil exists but pls becareful,for those that clain they have the receiver for 2k,they are wasting their time,i prefer buying from an expensive but reliable source,than regreting.

@ceejay.i just found ur posts about the nokia tv receiver and i hope u can help me.i use a nokia N86.i tested it wit a friends tv receiver and it installed all the channels but i can only get audio but no picture.the screen just appears black!i re-installed the tv app severally but its still the same thing.any help u can give cos i really wanna get this tv receiver.i read in one of ur earlier posts that u know someone that uses that type of phone with d tv receiver.did he experience such(no pic just audio)

@cleanman i get updated n73 wey my guy one sell,if u had told me earlier,u for no give ur self headache of update. Anyways all u need is a laptop,a usb internet modem,stable electricity or generator,instal nokia pc suite and download the lates nokia software updater on ur pc. I just came across this thread.

Is this tv receiver able to send the received channel to normal tv or does the feature end with the person viewing on the phone.

If it is able to send to tv , then I may consider it to watch ss3 and maybe downgrade my normal dstv subscription to dstv family.

On another note, please which affordable, feature-rich phone can i get that has tv out and which does not have problems showing dstv mobile on tv?

@ Sology I know nk5800 has a tv out though presently the tv out cable has to be purchased separately unlike before when it was sold with the phone. Last time I checked the phone was going for 39k.

Thanks seaylan for the reply. How does this nk5800 compare with say n96, n97 etc? I am really not much into phones but I am beginning to pick interest.

u can go for n97, 5800,5230,etc but dont go for n96 and 5330 because of poor reception
i am not saying that n96 and 5330 are bad phones but there is a difference between a feature added in to a mobile device and a fully made hardware
