hi guys. i use a nokia 5800, please what are the steps to install the tv reciever and how does it work.

Thanks for that list. A friend uses N96 and he says Dstv has blocked the phone from outputting to tv. Is there no risk of them doing the same with the other Nokia phones?

Except for the N96,none of us watches dstv mobile on tv.If your reason for buying a compatible phone is to connect it to a tv,you might as well drop it.

guy if u can not appreciate what mtn is doing for u by allowing u to view dstv on ur mobile phone, u fit go dstv office and buy their home decorder,dish and watch it on ur 64inches tv set

@ malikalhaj na u dey ask dis kin question? if u wan buy am because u wan enjoy tv on mobile, then go ahead, but if na to connect am to tv ? that wan na optional and it depends on mtn, na dem get the service and why they are restricting it is becos people no go dey buy their home decorder and dish again, is that too hard to understand?

nokia 6720c,6730c,5630 could be another additional phone that supports the dstv mobile,all i need is anybody that owns the phone and we can test it,i believe it will work on one of them or three of them

its 100% possible,BBC IPLAYER is a uk mobile tv apps which is being used in the uk, the tv out features was restricted from the service. So mtn restricted their,i have a theory which i would want u all to see

Spb has up to 80 tv channels and u can use wlan as ur connection to watch it. I launched spb tv in my office and used wlan as the access point for connection it opened and i chose mbc 5,it was showing on my phone but skipping and i connected my n79 to the tv via tv out and it showed on tv and i launched the dvbh tv which refused to show on tv

my guy i did the experiment when i had nokia 6220c but with dis my n79? I no go take the risk. The trick is all about deleting or adding a file in mobile tv folder

willy,i don try all stuffs on my 6220c b4 i sell am,but i am not ready to risk my n79. But i believe say na just a file dey cause dis problem. Either by deleting or adding a file will solve it.

its not even an X, watch closely, its a key with a slash like this / which simply means u do not have the rights to view on Tv. I hear its DRM

if itz DRM then it will be alot difficult

@wilfem wetin be ur n79 firmware version? Mine is 11.049 and i no wan update am now for some reasons
