Yes,its advisable that you cut it down to allow other plantain suckers to come up to produce another fruits.

When one plantain fruit,you harvest,it dies and another one come up to fruit again

the cycle goes on and on for decades

or more acres or
some who rears 10 livestocks with 1000 animals; all things being equal.
