@iphie25
So I thought too. And it's written boldly in CIC website that IQAS is recognized.....

quote author=iphie25 post=46927503]

Im wondering how this would be true. Aren't PNPs a part of EE? CIC has approved those orgs so why will other provinces reject them? IQAS is for d uni of Alberta so is ICES and ICAS for govt unis too. Well I didn't go d PNP route so I can't really say.[/quote]

Please does WES evaluate certificates like ICAN and CIBN?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Nobody: 8:06pm On Jun 25, 2016
oh..some people misunderstood what i typed. For immigration purposes, IQAS would fly. But for work purposes/licensure/education on arrival, IQAS won't fly outside it's home provinces.

Good evening irondome, dupyshoo, zandora, JesusDWay, Slimmsyyetty, Tola73, Etfash, beyunce, hartson, princey83, Gymme, other gurus

We recently applied for Manitoba PNP having received Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) from the Province.

Few days ago, we both received a mail from New Brunswick inviting us to attend their Information Session in Dubai in respect of their PNP. A friend actually encouraged us to register for the event before we got LAA from Manitoba.

My question is this: considering the financial implications of attending the session in the UAE, do you think it is really worth it to attend when we have already applied for the Manitoba PNP?

NB:Spouse is the primary applicant but we both applied for the New Brunswick Information Session.

House, pls which cert can I send for evaluation, B.Sc or PGD. I don't know if WES evaluate PGD.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Gymme(m): 10:50pm On Jun 25, 2016
WES should evaluate any degree that is verifiable. I would suggest you send the degree (B.Sc. or PGD) that directly relates to your previous work experience.

To get more CRS points, you could evaluate both degrees 'as in this case'.

LOL @bolded

What are the reasons for the above conclusion? Someone earlier advised that we should not focus on just one province. I just want to broaden my knowledge please.

Aslong as you have manitoba, i would stick to it and follow it till the end except you have plenty of money to fly to and fro to dubai. Apart from that, manitoba over new brunswick anyday anytime.

Yeah...I used IQAS and I hv no regrets whatsoever. It was faster, cheaper and gave a more accurate assessment than WES (in my case)so I'd readily recommend it to anyone except you have a non-uni certificate like ACCA...then I'd suggest you go with WES but if It's a uni cert you want to evaluate say Masters or Bachelors...go right ahead with IQAS.
Goodluck

How do u mean more accurate? Does WES downgrade CGPA or class of degree?

Greeting to all the gurus in this thread, please am new here and I will like to ask some questions.
Am a graduate with H.N.D certificate in civil engineering, and I already have a year work experience as a site engineer/supervisor in two different companies in the last one year. Please how can I apply and what are my chances of getting a federal skill work program.
Please help a brother.

@40Manlappy, Do you foresee any hitch that portends doom for your Manitoba application? Please, give due diligence to ensure the question above is answered correctly.

If the answer to the above is No; then, stick to Manitoba alone. But, if otherwise, kindly go ahead and attend the NB Information session in Dubai. It might be cost effective to do otherwise but, trust me, it will be foolishness to lose both.

Cheers!

Yes you need to write a language test like IELTS before you can create an Express Entry profile. You may want to start the process for getting a police report, and ECA report (for your degrees).

Please whats the process of getting a police report in lagos. Thanks.

Hi all,

The journey that started last year May has finally come to an end. We finally landed in Canada yesterday. Glory to God as we are now officially Permanent Residents of Canada. Nothing much was asked except if we have new family members and if we have any criminal record. Even POF was not asked.

Want to wish everyone with their applications still in process all the best. For those that are still awaiting ITA and PNP, God will perfect it and finally for those who are contemplating on starting this Canadian PR journey, please start as soon as you can, you have got nothing much to lose.

I will still be on the forum to answer any questions you may have but I won't be able to answer any job related questions as we are only doing short landing. We will be travelling back home in the next few weeks as we are not planning to move to Canada permanently until the next 2 years.

Because of validity issue, your Police certificate should be processed after you receive your ITA. (I.e if you reside in Nigeria) but if you are currently in another country and have not been in Nigeria since you left, then you can go ahead and start with your police certificate along side ECA and ielts.
it's a simple process and it takes mints/hours if you are in Nigeria, if not you wil need to send your finger prints and passport photograph down to Nigeria and ask a relative/friend to help you with the process at any Nigeria police headquarters.
If you are in Nigeria I suggest you focus on your ielts and Eca to determine your CRS score, in other to decide on your next step to take.

All the best.

That is right if you reside in Nigeria only but otherwise, you should get your police certificate immediately you are in the Express Entry pool. Pls read the info on this link:
