esosa4real: You can choose to do the evaluation at your own pace, or on request. I am in a similar situation as yours, though i had my ITA on jan 11, i hope to apply by jan 31 , and schedule a registry union in the second week of feb. Thereafter i inform them of change of status. That way i have saved my partner from the ielts exam stress and eca palaver, at least in the immediate. |

Adiahabasi: This would have been a good option for me but you see I work in KSA and only on vacation here. And over there, you cant just decide you wanna leave at anytime even for marriage. I have till the first week of February to be in Naija and I cant submit my eAPR before then as other documents are in KSA. Thanks for all your kind suggestions/advices @00DE00 @vcole @dupsyshoo But this is what I have planned, is it doable? 1. Hoping to get ITA as single. 2. Register her for ielts (guessing she needs just 7777 right?) 3. Start the IQAS process tomorrow (I am choosing Iqas because of timing and purpose, moreover we don't plan the cumbersome medlab licensing pathway in Canada for her so we wont need WES). 4. Get Court registry within the next two weeks 5. Then by the time Iqas + ielts is done, Add all these details to my application and submit eAPR alongside POF for 2, our medicals and our Police certificates. (BTW how will I even add the details?) So this in summary means I will be marrying her few weeks POST-ITA and adding her details with all required documents before submitting eAPR. Pls any REDFLAGS to this? I don't wanna be disqualified oh..lol |

iphie25: Hey Iphie longtime, I guess your in Cana now...lol I just wanted to know if your aware of the method, IQAS usually employs to contact the UNI as regards verification? courier or email? Or do they just work with the documents sent by the uni from the go? |

esosa4real:You would be disqualified if ur points drop below the CRS u got d ITA on. Check ur CRS when married with her ECA and IELTS and without. Nigerians will soon spoil this path-miraclously found love after ITAs. 2 Likes |

There is no format. Just ensure the letter contains your job start date, job title, job duties and responsibilities, no of hours per week, annual salary, permanent/temporary, full time/part time, contact details and signature of HR/Supervisor. justicia: |

Your plan is okay if and only if she gets the required IELTS score and she gets her BSc. evaluated before the expiration of your ITA. esosa4real: |

IQAS evaluation process. You fill the app form on their website for eca for immigration purposes, then you pay online (ensure you have a card that can pay up to $275. You can use a card that is not in the name of the applicant). After which, you get an email of your completed app form and payment confirmation and a check list. You print out the app form and payment confirmation and the check list, sign and fill as appropriate. Attach photocopy of passport biodata page and photocopy of the degree and send via courier to the mailing address on the form. Then, you go to the iqas website and download a form called "request for academic records" You fill and sign the top part of the form and send to the school to fill and sign and endorse the bottom half and add to the transcript and then the school sends to iqas. esosa4real: |

For those who are missing out due to low score in one section of IELTS (Specifically, writing or speaking), I will advise you go for the option of remarking. My younger sis just got her writing score changed from 6.0 to 7.0 after about 10 weeks. Her revised score is now 8.0,7.5,7.5,7 in LRSW. She felt they will not increase her score by 1 whole band but I advised her to go for it. Thank God!! She got it changed to the score she needed. I am so excited as I can now help my sis with the whole process. 6 Likes |

great!! remember i have always been pro remarking especially when it was a british council nigeria conducted ielts. i truly believe they need a quality control assessment done. My husband's scores also moved a band upward. dupyshoo: |

Thanks dear!! She was really in tears when she saw the result cos she felt she deserved better. They surely need quality control assessment. It is really sad that they make people to spend extra 85kish and time on rewriting the exam. Almost everything in the country is a mess!! vcole: |

@vcole @dupsyshoo and everyone who replied me, I have already remarked my Celpip writing and the band did not change from 8, for Ilets it will cost me 165cad to remark, am thinking of just rewriting either of the exams which cost 300cad |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by 40manlappy: 2:31pm On Jan 23, 2017 |
@deeore Are you a single (i.e. unmarried) applicant? I am wondering how your score can increase from 415 to 472 with just 0.5 markup in IELTS. Looping: dupyshoo |

Why is remarking that expensive? If you are certain of what you did, then you can still go for the remark. However, if you have a bit of doubt and since you obviously did not write it in Naija, then you might be better off rewriting the exam. Pinkygrace: |

Yes o, it is very possible. My sister's score will increase from 408 to 472 (14 extra points under official languages and 50 extra points under Skill Transferability Factors). 40manlappy: |

Pinkygrace: Hi Pinkygrace, I am saddened by this your results/efforts which has proven futile, and i can imagine the frustration. However, i will advice your stick with IELTS, as well as rewrite your IELTS(because your Celpip writing band did not change, perhaps your WRITING needs improvement actually, Also, there is room to improve other areas of your IELTS to a CLB 10). If you can take the pain to writing an essay and send or snap to me, i will volunteer to review it for you and show you some area of deficiency which requires improvement. You can also visit my topic on this forum. IELTS is easy, but technically demanding to excel. |

@deeore Wow! I am happy for you. ITA loading @dupyshoo. Thanks for sharing. I may need to take a second look at the CRS calculator. Does an increase in IELTS score impact directly on Skill Transferability factors? |

Garykasparov: Yeah, am thinking of writing Ilets again , since that was my first attempt at it, will practice more of the writing. I sure will take up your offer, I think my major issue is CONTENT development, becos I go blank most of the time and just mubble stuffs up. |

Hello All.... This thread is a great resource! I have looked through and have not found a situation that directly applies to mine. Need the help of the gurus please Got ITA on the 11th of January. My husband and I just found out a few days ago that we are pregnant. We had planned POF for family of 2 (myself and husband), would this change anything for us? Secondly, i have not finished updating my e-APR to get the document checklist, but does it include medical report to be submitted in the 90 day period along with the POF, reference letters and police certificates? |
