OPCNAIRALAND:
To the rhesus comparing regions, Southeast is the least valued region anywhere in Nigeria.

Here is how to compare development in real economic terms. The Nigerian currency, Naira, is a common denominator and so holds value whether you are in Enugu or Ibadan. But we know, based on migration and investment numbers that Ibos are the ones migrating and investing in other regions because the quality of social living in these other regions is superior to that obtainable in Iboland. Therefore assuming we have individual and different currency based on the distinct economies of each region....so that Yorubaland has its own currency, lets call it Alare pound, Ibo has its own currency, lets call it Biafran pound, .....it will take a million Biafran pound to buy one Alare pound at exchange.

What this means is that an Ibo in Yorubaland is far much valuable than an Ibo in alaibo by a million. This is so because security, commodity market, social justice, liberty, entertainment....and everything else instituted in West by Yorubas is a million times better when scaled against same criterias in East. This explains the migration and also the mindset to accept being a lower class untitled citizens in Yorubaland than the privilege of pedigree status back home in Alaibo.

This is a true measure of class in Nigeria.

A lie may travel for a thousand miles, but it takes just one step of truth to catch up with it.

The voodoo analysis above can only exist in the phantasy world of ewedu eaters. It's no longer news that Yorubas thrive mainly on an atmosphere of lies, falsehood and propaganda.

If the abysmal thinking of the op that assembled the garbage above holds any water why are the Yorubas most vocal against Biafra

Yorubas have used every known tricks to attempt to quench the call for a separate state of Biafra. Many mischievous Yorubas have taken to the internet camouflaging as South-South people and South-East people, feigning undying fake love like never before and putting forth baseless theories why the idea of Biafra should not be allowed to fly.

Recall that in the heat of their numerous nightmares frustrated Yorubas have created numerous threads on Nairaland in their desperate attempts to stop Biafra agitation. Due to the resounding responses they received on such threads Yorubas had to quickly call for such threads to be deactivated! Fact#

If at all Yoruba economy is better than the Igbo economy why are it's people worse hit by the dwindling crude oil prices

If Yoruba economy was in any way superior to Igbo economy Ekiti State will not deem it wise to send its citizens to Aba in Abia State for vocational training, to equip them to be able to create wealth for themselves and improve the economy of the State just like Eastern region.

If Yoruba economy was superior to that of Igbos why is hunger ravaging its people to the extent that concerned individuals from other parts of Nigeria had to come to their rescue, donating cash and food to ensure that they survive the economic crunch occasioned by low crude oil revenue?

And through all this period there was no cause for alarm amongst the Igbos in Igboland. Not even in Abia State where the civil servants were being owed their salaries, courtesy of the State's strong informal sector unlike Osun State where the phantom internally generated revenue (IGR) was a lie of fabricated figures
to massage the egos of Yoruba Kingdom.

T.A Orji of Abia State was labelled as the worst governor in the last dispensation by Igbos on NL and even in the outside world. Nobody criticized TA Orji and his failure in Abia than Igbos. Yet mischievous Yorubas kept lying to themselves of the sterling performance of Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State who was as bad as T.A.

Yoruba media propagandists churned out statistics of how Osun State has blossomed to being able to do without the free handouts from federal government (courtesy of the crude oil wealth from another man's backyard) and yet before could say JACK the State became comatose and bankrupt.

Of what good is the big size of Oyo State when Ebonyi State is more developed than it? For the myopic Yorubas with poor geography of a place they call their 'country' the smallest State in size in Igbo land is about 3 times the size of Lagos State.

Find below the desperate attempts in the past by mischievous Yoruba voodooists to portray Yoruba economy as good:

1. "I don't need federal allocation to pay workers" - Rauf Aregbesola (ThisDay Newspaper, Nov 28, 2011)

2. Osun's Monthly IGR Jumps from N300million to N1.6billion in 3 years.

Yorubas accuse Igbos of being too smart in business and therefore should not be trusted. The implication is that they unconsciously accept the Igbos as having superior IQ and business sense.

And when credible institutions publish the results of their studies showing Igbos as chart-toppers Yorubas begin to search for straws to hold onto to fault the research. You wonder why they become so rattled and agitated at such results.
Business is all about smartness and no dullard or book-theory person can do better in a business than a person with native intelligence.

Mental superiority makes you want to find your own space.
Mentally dull people hate radical changes and want to just keep doing the same thing.

There is a correlation between Igbo achievements and 21 billion dollars remittances back into Nigerian economy on yearly basis as evidenced by statistics from Western Union. A less backward or less enterprising group of treasury looters cannot achieve such feat.

The Igbo youths are born into a society where they always have to think fast else they will be like Yorubas who live on free handouts from Abuja. Igbos always try as much as possible to excel in their various pursuits in life. Little wonder you see many Igbos competing on the world-stage.

Without government connections and patronage, Wale Tinubu, Jimoh Ibrahim, Femi Otedola, Mike Adenuga etc. of Yoruba tribe will be nowhere today, and that's why every now and then you would hear them being linked with one financial crime or the other.

Nigeria economy assumed a downward trend when the Yorubas and their Northern co-travellers acquired all Nigerian companies by virtue of indigenization decree of 1972. But they could not manage the companies instead they ruined, defrauded, liquidated, bankrupted and destroyed all the companies - that was the mother of destruction of Nigerian economy! The swindlers indeed bastardized the Nigerian economy.
And to divert attention from their ineptitude and crass looting of the treasury Yorubas would use illogical reasoning to attempt to bamboozle other people while pointing accusing fingers elsewhere!

After more than 40 years, despite the stolen wealth, the Yoruba land cannot be said to be transformed and be one of the enviest in the world. None of their cities could be likened to, say the least, Johannesburg!

Inspite of the tortuous journey the Igbo man passed/passes through to achieve success the criminal system in place and the Yoruba gang will not allow the Igbo man be. Yorubas are bitter and angry at the success of the Igbos, that they use any given opportunity at their disposal to remind Igbos that they are the ones who accommodated them and therefore they should abide by their dictates, whims and caprices, including being coerced to vote the candidate of the host's choice in election.

With all the disadvantages Igbos faced and still face after the 1967-70 they rose from grass to grace and Yorubas are not even ashamed to compare Igbos with treasury looters.

There is no law on this earth that prohibits free movement of people and participation in government. It takes a man of courage to venture into an unknown terrain and conquer it. The Chinese are doing it. The British, Portuguese, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese etc. did it. If the great Roman Empire hadn't ventured no one would have known they were great. Today many American businesses are located offshores in China, Saudi Arabia, Tokyo, United Arab Emirate and they are still venturing out to conquer unknown terrains.

For you to be great you have to venture out of your comfort zone. This is the true character of the ever industrious and peace-loving Great Igbo Nation. As of today it would be an understatement to aver that Igbos control 50% of the economy of Lagos and its environs. You see, it pays to venture out instead of lazing around touting and disturbing the peace of the society.

princdebola201:

It takes someone with an Empty skull to recognise another...
U re better off financially yet ur erosion land looks like a dungeon

U re better off financially none of ur flat head brothers makes up 1 to 3 richest in africa

U re better off financially but folorunsho alakija can buy the whole south east region

U re better off financially ur brothers pushing drugs to asia for survival ,this year alone more than 10 flats head have faced firing squad

u re better off financially all ur flat head brothers troop into south west even with boko haram menace in north ur brothers still go there for survival

Keep living in self denial when u re suffering in abject poverty ..
Tell me how many igbos businessman today that make it in ur Cursed Land..?

Instead they ran away, like ekenedili is packing ur flat head brothers like sardines to south west everyday
Ur flat head brothers have being reduced to a level of ass licking Ijaw man a minority tribe in nigeria..

Ur guys re living a miserable life...living like sheeps with no sheperd..
Tell me the politician that is sellable in ur cursed region apart from rochas you guys called mallam
Common ijaw a minority have produced a president despite he is clueless..

You should be ashamed of ur miserable live and pray to God to remove the curse placed on ur tribe by tafa balewa

Go and put ur shanty house in order and stop washing ur dirty rags outside u miserable descendant of cursed tribe from erosion ravaged land of Biafra

princdebola201, you had the guts to brag against Igbos. You and your Yoruba tribe should be ashamed of yourselves for dare comparing Igbos with Yorubas.

You should be ashamed of yourselves for being in the habit of using other regions to shield your cowardly mien. It's shameful that a typical Yoruba person cannot make his stand known without dragging some other tribes along. If it is not distorting history, it is ass-licking your slave masters by propagating lies of how your slave masters have always been peace-loving and accommodative and that it is the Igbos who provoke their host! Yet the Christian minorities and other Southerners in the North and in the Middle-belt continue are being maltreated and relegated to the background.
It is so disgusting and pathetic already!

You mentioned curse, what kind of curse are you referring to?
Is it the curse Alaafin of Oyo placed on the young braggard, Bode Thomas, for arrogantly insulting his office? Bode Thomas barked and barked like a dog till he kicked the bucket! Is that not the same way many Yorubas are barking on Igbo matter?

Is it the curse that made your god, Awolowo, to die in a miserable way?

Is it the curse that made your warrior, Benjamin Adekunle, a.k.a the scorpion, to eat his own excrement before he chose death in 2014? The was same Adekunle who mocked the pope, Red Cross, Caritas, World Council of Churches, UN etc.

What about your Field Marshall, MKO Abiola, who sunk containers of Christian materials and paid off the importer just to impress his slave masters in the North? Was it not this atrocious deed amongst many others that brought curse upon him which led him to his Waterloo?

So, what curse are you referring to?
Is it the curse on your slave masters or yourself?

Despite Awolowo’s free education, is the South-West not the worst hit by illiteracy in the South?
Whose region is being ravaged by internationally acclaimed drug peddlers, high-profile assassinations, frequent ritual-killings and treasury lootings?

Whose region is being ravaged by carnage, blood letting, terrible and strange diseases, abject poverty and penury?

I'm just trying to be as modest as possible with my choice of words.

Let's go down memory lane.

After the civil war, your god, Awolowo, defrauded the Igbo Nation, robbing her of her enormous wealth and transferring same to you parasites. As the Finance Minister, Awo, gave a paltry £20 to Igbo men who proved they had an account in the bank. That was all the Igbo man started life with!

And in 1971/72 Awo and his criminal gang colluded and issued the indigenisation decree which compelled the British companies to give up ownership of their companies.
With the stolen money from Igbo men's sweat at their disposal Yorubas in conjunction with their Northern co-travellers were able to acquire the companies in Nigeria.

Igbos started life from ground zero after the civil war with just £20, with their lands devastated, farmlands destroyed, markets destroyed, schools levelled, hospitals broken-down, with hunger ravaging her people and the children at the mercy of  kwashiorkor. Inspite of these debilitating factors Igbos being a resilient people exerted themselves and within a short while they are at the top, competiting only with themselves.

As if the bank robbery was not enough and inspite of the 3Rs strategy mapped out to rehabilitate the Eastern region, Gowon and the subsequent regimes diverted the crude oil revenue from the East to develop Lagos State into a mega-city. And here you are bragging about same Lagos cum SW. Is Lagos State your father's land? Common migrants making noise as if they own Lagos. FYI, Lagos was built with the blood and sweat of every ethnic group in Nigeria! Take it or leave it! Nigeria or no Nigeria, you and your ilks CAN NOT do ANYTHING about it!

So far the Igbos have done well for themselves. The Igbos now boast of the best middle class, the most educated, the most enterprising, the most ambitious, goal getters and achievers.

Igbos survived the policy of strangulation imposed on them them by Gowon and Awolowo. And they are still surmounting some other criminal policies put in place by the criminal gang to checkmate the progress of the Igbos - quota system, federal character, admission catchment areas in schools, cut off marks for admission, fraudulent census figure, false voters register, lopsided local government areas and the likes.

And now Igbos are more than equal to the Yorubas and their co-travellers who were bequeathed with Nigeria's wealth on a plater of gold. The criminal gang acquired virtually all oil wells. They cornered over 85% of the oil wells as their prize for the war they prosecuted against the Eastern region.

princdebola201, and you're here comparing yourself with that same man you robbed his wealth; the same people who would need to get higher scores than the Yorubas to gain admission into schools.

Just by being Igbo by birth, Igbo standards have become too high even amongst themselves, but that has not made them lose heart and in fact it brought out the best out of them.

Inspite of the tortuous journey the Igbo man passed/passes through to achieve success the criminal system in place and the gang will not allow the Igbo man be. The gang is bitter and angry at the success of the Igbo man, that they use any given opportunity at their disposal to remind Igbos that they are the ones who accommodated them and therefore they should abide by their dictates, whims and caprices, including being coerced to vote the candidate of the host's choice in election.
But the Igbo man's resolve remains strong.

And you are here boasting of Folorunso Alakija who acquired her wealth from the commonwealth, from the crude oil in another man's backyard! It's a shame!

Before the 1967-70 civil war, an average Yoruba man did not measure up to the ever industrious Igboman. Even in the South-West Igbos were in the lead. Igbos were the first Black Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, the first VC of the University of Lagos and the first Nigerian Rector of the then Yaba College of Technology in the South-West; the police was run by an Igbo IG; the military as a professional institution was run by brilliant Igbos; the first president of Nigeria and the first military ruler of Nigeria.

Nigeria economy assumed a downward trend when the gang acquired all Nigerian companies by virtue of indigenization decree of 1972. But they could not manage the companies instead they ruined, defrauded, liquidated, bankrupted and destroyed all the companies - that was the mother of destruction of Nigerian economy! The swindlers indeed bastardized the Nigerian economy.
And to divert attention from their ineptitude and crass looting of the treasury they would use illogical reasoning to attempt to bamboozle other people while pointing accusing fingers elsewhere!

After more than 40 years, despite the stolen wealth, the respective regions of the criminal gang cannot be said to be transformed and be one of the enviest in the world. None of their cities could be likened to, say the least, Johannesburg!

With all the disadvantages Igbos faced and still face they rose from grass to grace and you are not even ashamed to compare them with treasury looters.

It's not how far but how well!

Time shall tell...

As for your convoluted theory that the Igbo mind their business, nah... you are not telling the truth! Evidence abounds of your people's propensity to look for trouble, by verbally antagonising indigenes and residents of areas where they sojourn, using propaganda and hate-speeches. Evidence abounds of the way they heap insults on the revered elders of those regions, where they dwell. sad

And since no one has a monopoly on rancour and hate... guess what? Those people just turn round to dish it right back! shocked

NB: Talking about the revenue accruing to Imo state from crude oil, please guy go and educate yourself. There is something called derivation and it is 13%. States like Akwa Ibom, Rivers and Bayelsa have far more more crude being drilled in their swamps and off-shore areas, than imo and Abia have from their on-shore wells. The quantity of offshore oil available , exceeds what can be obtained on-shore and that is why revenue from such areas differ. It is not only the amount of revenue which comes in that matters, but how wisely it is used and deployed to areas of need. undecided

A lie may travel for a thousand miles, but it takes just one step of truth to catch up with it.

It's only the weak and leeches that bash other people who in no way have got nothing to do with the mass murder, destruction of means of livelihood, oppression and injustice in the land.

laudate, here and now can you post such evidence where prominent Igbo leaders have used propaganda and hate-speeches to cause anarchy in the country?
Can you substantiate with facts and figures, in clear terms, how Igbos constitute nuisance in any community?

Can you post evidence of Radio Biafra call for unprovoked attacks or genocide on anyone, here and now?

In the 90s, the NADECO's unlicensed and inciting Radio Kudirat was hitting the airwaves, did any of your elites condemn it?

Before the 2015 general elections, did you condemn the highly inciting Radio Chanji in the North?

Ever since you were born, have you seen or heard anywhere Igbos are on rampage, killing people and destroying means of livelihoods for no just cause?

How many of your elites dare challenge the Hausa-Fulani-Kanuris or Yorubas for their unjust ways? How many of you dare counter the numerous killings and destruction of lives and properties that have been occurring for many decades in the North unabated?

You merely turn blind eyes to the wickedness in the country because your kinsmen are rarely affected. But you're quick to point accusing fingers on the Igbos who have been far from power for 50 years.

The Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri people have over the century propagated despicable, hate speeches in their mosques and still execute the unconscionable, cold-hearted waste of human lives and reckless destruction of means of livelihoods in the North and Middle-belt. And they now have the presidency while the backstabbing Yorubas vice-presidency! Such a misnomer can only happen in the jungle!

A number of Yorubas even go to the extent of carrying wicked lies about how Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri people have been peace-loving and accommodative; that it's the Igbos that always provoke their hosts in the North warranting the pogrom and other heinous crimes against the Igbos.
Yet in the same North and the Middle-belt the Christian minorities and other Southerners are maltreated, relegated to the background and even killed.

You say that Igbos are arrogant, and that they don't respect their hosts while you subtly proclaim that the Hausa-Fulanis are peace-loving and accommodative. You don’t like Igbos but you still fought and killed them to be in this fraudulent union with verm1ns, where parasitic ingrates are favoured by the injustice, inequity and lopsided arrangement in the polity. And your people even had the effrontery to castigate Igbos for seeking a self-determination!

Mister, it's wrong for you to make frivolous statements because you do not like the Igbo man. Though you may be bitter and angry for the unequal exploits and audacity of the Igbos, it's absolute wicked to spread baseless propaganda!

Many of you hold the view that Igbos should be grateful for being allowed to live in their part of the country, in the same 'One Nigeria'! You say Igbos disrespect and denigrate their host when Igbos choose to exercise their franchise right. And you don't seem to see anything wrong in Oba Akiolu's threat to drown Igbos in the Lagos lagoon if they fail to vote for his anointed candidate! The same threat was backed by many Yorubas including Dr Ariyo in the US who even called for genocide.

But here you are, pointing accusing fingers on the Igbos for daring to stand against the injustice in the land and seeking self-determination. And some of you mischievously term it 'chest beating' or 'disrespect'. And if Igbos do not stand and speak for themselves, people like you will still find a way of accusing them of not doing enough to market themselves; that nobody is going to do it for them. Igbos are wiser!

There's oil in Anambra, Abia, Enugu and Imo. The whole of Enugu and Anambra States are sitting on Gas deposits and gas has more value than oil; Coal at Enugu, Lime stone for cement in Abakaliki; rice in Ebonyi State, Abia State - highest producer of cocoa; West Africa's largest market at Onitsha, Anambra; big markets at Aba, Abia state and Nnewi, Anambra.
Even without reliance on crude oil the Igbos have excelled and are more than ever before capable of doing more exploits and competing with the World powers!

I don't blame you for not being objective and sincere! I blame this forced union under which you and your folks hide to propagate falsehoods and had the audacity to do so.

IGBOS HATE NOBODY EXCEPT YOU ARE A SWORN ENEMY TO TRUTH, JUSTICE AND EQUITY.
At the 2015 presidential election Igbos only exercised their franchise right just like other tribes.

If Igbos are the promoters of hate in Nigeria, can anyone tell us any instance where Igbos go about causing mayhem, killing and destroying means of livelihoods for no just cause?

It's only mischievous bigots in the society that turn blind eye to the evil and injustice, and permit the atrocities to flourish in the land because they gain from the lopsided arrangement in the polity.

GENESIS OF HATRED IN NIGERIA

1* “We do not want our Southern neighbours to interfere in our development. We have never associated ourselves with the activities of these
people. We do not know them, we do not
recognize them, and we share no responsibility in their actions. We shall demand our rights when the time is ripe. If the British quit Nigeria now at this
stage, the Northern people would continue their uninterrupted conquest to the sea”. - Sir Tafawa Balewa (1947)

2* “We the people of the North will continue our stated intention to conquer the South and to dip the Koran in the Atlantic ocean after the British leave our shores.” - Sir Ahmadu Bello (1957)

3* "The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grand father, Othman Danfodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We must use minorities in the North as willing tools and South as conquered territories and never allow them to rule over us or have control over their future
- Sir Ahmadu Bello, October 12,  1960

Ahmadu Bello, arrogantly uttered the aforementioned statement in a multicultural and multi-religious country and got away with it, and many bigots still hold him in high esteem and even shove it down the throats of other people.

4*
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WSosECbcmM

5* ...sometime in 2010, when upon the demise of President Umaru Y'Ardua, indications emerged that his erstwhile deputy, President Goodluck Jonathan, may contest the 2011 presidential election, a prominent chieftain of this same ACF, Lawal Kaita, who was a former Governor of old Kaduna S tate, threatened that the North would make Nigeria ungovernable, should Jonathan or anyone from the South win the 2011 presidential election, claiming that such would amount to denying the North it's birthright of ruling Nigeria.

6* It is in the same North barbaric statements like this were uttered in 2011: ”BABOON AND DOG WILL BE SOAKED IN BLOOD”. And what was the outcome - carnage and murder of many Southerners and Christians in the North, including many Youth Corps members when Buhari lost the 2011 presidential election?

7* That true to that threat, upon the victory of Jonathan from the 2011 presidential election, massive violence was unleashed from the North by a group which called itself Boko Haram and which repeatedly took responsibility for unending mayhem which began with the killing of Youth Corp members who worked ad-hoc for INEC in that election.

8* As the barbaric killings and destructions reigned, especially with the attack by Boko Haram on the UN Building and Force Headquarters in Abuja, the Lower Niger Congress publicly posited that the nexus between the aforementioned threat by ACF's, Lawal Kaita and the Boko Haram's bloody campaigns summarily destroyed any prospects for keeping the Nigeria Union.

9* "It was, therefore, no surprise that in October 2013, following the bold announcement by President Jonathan, presenting the sudden prospect of revisiting the master-servant constitutional arrangements of Nigeria infuriated the warmongering born-to-rule Caliphate whose cause was championed by the same ACF, and who, supported by their allies from the renegade wing of the Yoruba Southwest,  launched a vicious, frontal attack on the initiative, teaming on the floor of the Conference into a majority, and driving the Conference into its first major decision, i.e. NOT TO DISCUSS THE TERMS OF NIGERIA'S UNITY. The rest of the Conference was a jamboree that provided a luxurious platform for the North/SW Alliance, parading itself as a new political party named APC, to fine-tune their violent March to the do-or-die 2015 general elections."

The rest of the Conference was a jamboree that provided a luxurious platform for the North/SW Alliance, parading itself as a new political party named APC, to fine-tune their violent March to the do-or-die 2015 general elections."[/s]

The day you become objective and sincere, someone would give you a befitting response. The facts are there for all to see. Google is your friend. We all know you suffer from a mental problem, so no one would waste their precious time exchanging words with you! So have the floor to yourself to continue launching your calumny of propaganda! You are an expert in substituting propaganda and falsehood for facts, in your posts. The word 'balance' means nothing to you. undecided

Apart from that, your hate-filled responses and venomous invectives on every thread you visit, only proves the point that you and your brethren are utterly filled with hate! shocked shocked

10* Oba of Lagos Threat on Igbos Over 2015 Governorship

Everytime I hear of the Oba of Lagos threatening the Igbo, I just laugh in merriment. cheesy grin He did it in front of the Eze Igbos in Lagos, and none of them could stage a walkout, or express their displeasure with his comments, or even defend their people publicly. O di egwu! cheesy

Igbos living in Lagos were told on Sunday to vote for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Akinwumi Ambode, or else they will die in the lagoon.

A visibly angry Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, in an unconcealed threat, stated that he was not ready to beg the Igbos, but if they repeated what they did on March 28 when they voted for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan, then they should be ready for the consequences....

“On Saturday, if anyone of you, I swear in the name of God, goes against my wish that Ambode will be the next governor of Lagos State, the person is going to die inside this water.

“I’m not ready to beg you. Nobody knew how I picked Ambode. Jimi (Agbaje) is my blood relation and I told him that he cannot be governor in Lagos for now. The future belongs to God. I am not begging anybody, but what you people cannot do in Onitsha, Aba or anywhere, don’t do it here.

“If you do what I want, Lagos will continue to be prosperous for you. If you go against my wish, you will perish in the water.”

The monarch said anybody against Ambode did not wish the state well, adding, “I am for the progress, growth and development of Lagos. Ambode is highly cerebral, he’s a symbol and he is going to deliver the message which I, the Oba of Lagos, have said. And he will govern the state for another eight years.

“He is going on a mission and God will give him the wisdom and knowledge to fulfill that mission. Almost a year ago, I declared that Ambode will be the next governor of Lagos and it will not change.

“From time immemorial, the previous occupiers of this house will say what they wanted after consultations with other people. And this hasn’t changed and it will not change at this time,” he said.

In a veiled reference to one of Jonathan’s predecessors, Akiolu stated that the crisis Nigeria was facing was not caused by the Jonathan administration but by another person he refused to name.

Continuing with his tirade, he said: “If not for the appeal from Asiwaju (Bola Tinubu) and my highly respected maternal father, the Awujale of Ijebu-Ode, all what is happening today is not the cause of the present government. The man who caused everything knows himself.”

In his response, the Eze-Ndigbo of Amuwo-Oriade, Dr. Gordian Dimojiaku, promised Akiolu that the Igbos in the state would support Ambode.

“The mistake of last Saturday was caused by everybody, not only the Igbos. It is not only the Igbos that were responsible for the votes. But we have learnt our lesson. Saturday’s election is going to be a different thing and Ambode is going to win.

“Everybody knows that when you fail the first time, you cannot afford to fail again. We are going to tell our people that Ezes from the 20 local governments and 37 local council development areas are here and that we have sworn with the Oba that we are going to make sure that Ambode wins next Saturday’s election,” he said.
