Every tribe in Nigeria will have much to gain from independence. Nigeria is a prison of tribes, which will have nothing to lose but exploitation, neglect, corruption, and oppression from the central government, and everything to gain in the breakup of Nigeria. There should be an independent country for each tribe that wants to be a sovereign entity: Igboland, Ijawland, Edoland, Yorubaland, Hausastan, Kanuristan, etc. We at Ghana will support each and every part of Nigeria that wants to break free!

Everyone has been blackmailed into silence in Igboland. Kalu scares his own kinsmen with threats of scandal, "Do you know the information we have on each one of you?" After seeing the manner he mangles his undeclared enemies no right thinking Igbo leader will risk calling him to order as he could blow the trumpet on such a leader. Everyone is afraid and only him talking. That, exactly, is the real danger: The end is truly nigh the moment an entire people tremble under one man who claims a monopoly on truth. Therefore, in the event of breakdown in law and order those who could have prevented it would be judged harshly, and even more so, than the unhappy instigator.

The 1994 Rwanda genocide started with a Hutu radio broadcast urging Hutus to arm themselves against Tutsis demonized as cockroaches, trees, evil, etc. Intelligent Hutus did nothing to counter the dangerous message. When the massacre began they were killed alongside Tutsis by Hutu militias. For one hundred days the nebulous international community folded its hands and did nothing while Tutsi children were hacked with long knives and axes. The question on the lips of civilized men and savages alike was how could people be so heartless axing a man even after he stopped breathing? That is the power of hatred.

Europe also asked the same question. When Nazi propaganda started demonizing European Jews decent Germans did nothing to counter it. Mass hysteria blinded Germans of good conscience from speaking out. Then Adolf Hitler adored as "leader" made the cardinal mistake of overestimating his own strength; the same mistake seen in Kalu who is praised today as "teacher." In the end six million Jews were not only murdered, some fourteen millions died world-wide in the madness.

This could have been averted had Germans themselves exposed Hitler as the greatest threat to his own people. They did no such thing preferring instead to cheer themselves into an early grave. Today, Germans are the wiser. You cannot stand in Berlin and instigate hatred without suffering the consequences. The German government would on its own bring down such a person before the person brings down the roof over everyone's head. Igbos, also known as Ndigbo, must do something about Radio Biafra before it brings down the roof over their heads.

To condemn Kalu's insults is to confirm Ndigbo's confidence in those he maligned; especially Yorubas who have the grace to appoint Igbos into their state governments, Hausas, Okorocha and former Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. As decent people Ndigbo hold Buhari, in particular, in great honour while leaving his legacy since 1962 when he joined the military for posterity to judge. Kalu's opinion does not reflect Ndigbo's. Obviously the collective sin of these people was in removing former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan from office. But there is a second truth about them which Kalu would rather not entertain in his monologue of ignorance. Let's take a look at the immense contributions of two of his victims-Professor Wole Soyinka and Okorocha, to the survival of Ndigbo.

Soyinka openly condemned the Igbo Holocaust of 1967-1970. So vocal was this great mind that Gen. Yakubu Gowon personally ordered his imprisonment without trial. A free Soyinka was a danger to the establishment so he was locked away in the far North. Then the killings escalated to a maddening frenzy. Alone in his lonely cell Soyinka continued to defend Igbos by writing his powerful "The Man Died" on rolls of toilet paper which he smuggled out to his publishers. He was awarded a Nobel Prize for literature because this powerful novel profiles man's irrepressible spirit against the forces of darkness. Anywhere on the earth surface Soyinka is studied the names "Biafra" and "Ibo" are hotly debated on account of this brilliant literature.

One would have expected a research-based Radio Biafra to acknowledge Soyinka's rare courage and not vilify him. Soyinka is not the only Yoruba son to stick out his neck for Ndigbo, did the great Col. Francis Fajuyi not pay the supreme sacrifice protecting our own son Gen. JTU Aguiyi-Ironsi? Hearing the collective scorn Radio Biafra pours on Yorubas would break the hearts of those Fajuyi left behind.

Before becoming governor Okorocha trained thousands of indigent Igbo children in his elite secondary schools free of charge. Meaning that with the exception of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, very few Igbos surpassed Okorocha in the advancement of Ndigbo. If Ndigbo deem it fit to elect him governor who is Kalu to call Okorocha a Hausa? Okorocha is an Igbo man, as long as one or both of his parents are Igbo. Odumegwu-Ojukwu himself set a precedent when he publicly endorsed Okorocha as "my son." By this pronouncement any child born of a single/married Igbo mother and non-Igbo father is automatically an Igbo man. Progressive Igbos are ever on the forward march and never backward.

I now warn of an imminent crisis should any Igbo man or woman continue to be discriminated against under any subterfuge. In Igboland we are all equal because I know where Radio Biafra is headed. Kalu is dangerous branding Okorocha unfit to sit on a traditional ruler's stool. What stops him from broadcasting tomorrow that this senator or that professor cannot be crowned a traditional ruler because his great grandfather was a cook in the colonial army? Ndigbo whole hearted apologize to Okorocha for Kalu's insults. The ways of Chukwu Okike Abiama, whom Kalu loves to invoke, are strange as He often turns the rejected pillar into the corner stone.

As with Kalu, so are certain Hausas and Yorubas who stir up anti-Igbo sentiments for political gains. Before former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Gen. Theophilus Danjuma some high-profile Yorubas repeatedly insulted Ndigbo as "traitors" and "rebels," only to be rewarded by the duo. Those in the habit of calling Ironsi a "drunken general" should be held fully accountable for what is happening today. Ironsi could not be a useless desk top general since he earned his ranks under British officers on merit rather than catchment.

Ndigbo will not give or take insults. The burden is on Hausa and Yoruba leaders to clamp down on Igbo haters as necessary step to neutralizing Radio Biafra. The relentless attack on peace loving Igbos fuels the hatred on Radio Biafra. That is why Kalu can never be convicted in the International Criminal Court, ICC, without first convicting his tormentors. He is the victim and not the victimizer. Northern emirs know it. Yoruba obas know it. And Buhari himself knows it.

But Kalu must be isolated as he has no place in the scheme of things for his indiscretion. Compare his outbursts with Goddy Uwazurike's cold reasoning or Ralph Uwazurike's non-violent approach. What Kalu saw and called for armed struggle, informed Isaiah Chukwuemekaobi saw and called for calm. Kalu's defeat in any contest is guaranteed as his opponents know how to make him fall upon his own sword in anger. Such predictable entity is hardly a leadership material for besieged Igbos who must live by camouflage, or what WEB du Bois called patent defence.

For his intellectual foreclosure Kalu must be urgently isolated. He has closed his mind to other possibilities as his revolution has one aim alone-Biafra or nothing. What about alternate Igbo President? His means is violence even though revolution can be accomplished by dialogue. His process is immediate but trend analysis suggests the birth of a new nation often takes time. A necessary condition for every successful revolution is diplomacy where you recruit allies, or friendly countries and institutions, to back your nationalist project. But Biafra has no allies within and without Africa as Kalu paints everyone with the same grotesque brush. He insults every nation, nationality and creed. Power is dangerous in his hands as he is a poor revolutionary.

Ndigbo refused to be lured into a generational war. Igbo children are not going to the war front again. They are going to world-class universities where power flows from. A handful of Iranian graduates recently forced the world Super Powers to negotiate at the nuclear roundtable. Believe it or not "cowardly" Yorubas, not "brave" Igbos, are closer to where Iran is today. Yoruba children rule today because their wise parents preferred to be a live dog to a dead lion; they refused to war-war over June 12.

Ndigbo must rethink strength and weakness, and even Biafra and Nigeria. In this revaluation they must remember the wisdom of their own son Chinua Achebe: How often do we stand in the house of a coward to point out the ruins of what used to be a strong man's home?

I had been to the east a couple of times before service. My mom is from Delta and we have family living in Enugu.

I have no idea how any tribe would do on their own. Like I said earlier, how good you'd be doing when you're independent would be visible by now. We'd be seeing glimpses at least. Since 1999, political office all of igboland has been held by igbos, hasn't it? Any non-igbo governor, or commissioner in any igbo state? Don't be lied to. Look at NDDC, the money in there is being stolen by the very Niger Deltans that wailed for such an institution to be established; money amounting to billions of dollars unaccounted for. The same thieves holding power in igboland now would still be the ones ruling over you guys.

You don't need secession, you need to hold your leaders to account and bring them to book. Where will you put the likes of Ekweremadu, or the Chris Ubas and their like? You think they'll give way to reasonable people who mean well for igboland? Haaahhahha. Wake up, mister. Who will sponsor the fight for Biafra? No be the billionaires among you? By the way, why are they so quiet o this Biafra ish? If they wanted it, they've have got it by now. The national cake is too sweet for them to go and be building a country from scratch. What will happen to investment and property owned outside your region?

You really think if all igbos left Lagos the state would die? At worst it would be a major inconvenience, as the vacuum left would need to be filled. But igbos hardly provide any crucial services that cannot be replaced in months. Where there's demand, supply is bound to respond. So, while the taxes would be short for a while, it would be back up eventually.

What you should concerned about is why these taxes aren't being paid in igboland? wink

If the Igbos secede from Nigeria, their case will be worse than that of Southern Sudan. I am saying this because each state from the Biafra Union will eventually want to break away to become a country! So they should think properly.

Many people have been sacrificed and are still being sacrificed to keep Nigeria one at the expense of justice, fairness and equity with crass looting of the treasury holding sway.

The moment the consciousness of a people is awaken, no abuse or threat can stop them. The road may be long, the process may be costly, some might even pay with their lives, but more than ever important before is that the people want liberty, justice and equity. No man on this planet can hold them back.

If you lots are sincere you should have restructured the system or have its inhabitants choose and chart their own destinies. Strange bedfellows are not meant to be together!

Anybody defending the atrocious acts of their forebears against the Igbo Nation is wicked to state the least. It's in vain trying hard to deny the genocide committed against the Igbos.

The real enemies of progress are the proponents of the status quo in the Nigerian system, and are accustomed to spreading lies and wicked propaganda.

Anyone who supports in the smallest ways the sustenance of a criminal system that has only brought shame, waste, killings and backwardness, should be charged with crimes against humanity.

It doesn't matter how long it takes, Igbos shall achieve their goals.

“The right to development is a fundamental right by virtue of which every human person and all peoples are entitled to participate in, contribute to and enjoy economic, social and cultural development.

“It is a right which includes the exercise of full sovereignty over national resources, self determination, popular participation in development and equality of opportunity."

If you live in Rivers or akwa ibom, you will see that the igbos are not accepted. Do you know that an igbo man cannot buy a piece of land in omuku. An Ikwerre man will say he is not igbo. Even if the south south decides to join, do you think you will see their oil, they will control that and the igbos will begin to shout marginalization again.

I am an igbo, but I don't think biafra is the way, neither do I think that the Nigerians will close a blind eye and allow an igbo presidency, so we need to fight for it politically by making allies and not enemies.
You are disgusting! Do you think that igbos are interested in SS oil? What happened to the oil in Abia,Imo & Anambra states & even Anioma part of Delta?? Why should our oil resources be used in developing kano, abuja, sokoto, & not owerri, aba, onitsha?? If really you Igbo then u are efulefu

Ojukwu defended Igbos from ethnic cleansing no matter the attempts of hypocrites to cover up their evils.
Ojukwu will forever remain a legend amongst Igbos regardless of what the same people who were responsible for what Ojukwu stood against thinks.

In spite of the great wealth and affluence at his disposal (courtesy of the father who was one of the top richest in Africa at then) Odumegwu Ojukwu lived fighting for the liberation of his people. A greedy man cannot risk his wealth or life for the emancipation of his people. Benjamin Adekunle a.k.a the Black Scorpion, who fought for Nigeria, confessed, "we fought for oil and not for unity". Gowon, Awolowo and their co-travellers murdered millions of Igbo civilians because of crude oil in the Eastern region. So, who's is the greedy one?

Ojukwu was celebrated in life and death. Ojukwu remains a hero to this day!

A coward is not the man who stands up for his people and took precautions to preserve his life like Washington, Gaulle and Ojukwu.

What did other Nigerians and their leaders do when Igbos where being massacred across the North in 1966 before the civil war?
Did any of these Igbo accusers come to the aid of the people of Igbodo and Asaba in 1967 when genocide was being carried out on them by the same people?

And now you are bitter about Biafra, having nightmares and still bent on having Igbos be in same country with murderers and their collaborators.

Anybody defending the atrocious acts of their forebears against the Igbo Nation is wicked to state the least. It's in vain trying hard to deny the genocide committed against the Igbos.

Gowon, Awolowo, Ejoor, Adebayo, Mobolaji Johnson, Katsina, Wey and all the groups that supported and advised the Federal Government of Nigeria to renege on the accords agreed upon in Aburi, Ghana were responsible for the 1967-70 Civil War, alongside their murderous kinsmen who killed innocent Easterners in revenge for an act done by a misguided group of soldiers comprising both Southerners and Northerners.

Ojukwu tried making peace, and called for peace-talk in a neutral ground hence the Aburi Accord, but Gowon and his co-travellers violated the agreement reached. If Ojukwu wanted war he wouldn't have called for peace talk in Ghana but the declaration of Biafra was inevitable as the killing of Easterners continued across the country. Ojukwu never asked for war! Ojukwu only declared Biafra when over thirty thousand corpses littered the Northern region in the aftermath of the January 15 1966 coup. Gowon and his cohorts declared the civil war! And Benjamin Adekunle, one the Nigerian soldier, later attested to the fact that Nigeria declared war because of oil in the Eastern region and not for the unity of the country!

Why didn't the July 1966 counter-coup plotters just wipe out the Eastern political class and call it a day. Aguiyi Ironsi did nothing deserving death yet they killed him. Ironsi was too much of a peacemaker and he died making useless peace, appeasing the Northerners. The counter coup plotters simply wanted a war and they sure got one.
Bear in mind there was no war before the pogrom of 1966 started in the North.
So why resort to maiming and killing innocent Easterners cum civilians. Has the killings stopped till date? NO!

The February 13, 1976 Dimka-led coupists came from Benue and Plateau region. They assassinated Murtala Mohammed then Head of State, yet there was no genocide carried against the Middle-belt people. Why was same treatment not given to the ethnic groups of the Dimka-led coupists that committed same offence? It's simply hypocrisy!
It is even against the military rule to harm the innocent civilians during coup.

According to the warped logic of hypocrites any time there is a revolution or a coup the ethnic groups of the coup plotters should be singled out for ethnic cleansing!

Ethnomusicolist Charles Keil, who was visiting
Nigeria in 1966, recounted:

"The pogroms I witnessed in Makurdi, Nigeria
(late Sept. 1966) were foreshadowed by
months of intensive anti-Ibo and anti-
Eastern conversations among Tiv, Idoma,
Hausa and other Northerners resident in
Makurdi, and, fitting a pattern replicated in
city after city, the massacres were led by the
Nigerian army. Before, during and after the
slaughter, Col. Gowan could be heard over
the radio issuing 'guarantees of safety' to all
Easterners, all citizens of Nigeria, but the
intent of the soldiers, the only power that
counts in Nigeria now or then, was painfully
clear. After counting the disemboweled
bodies along the Makurdi road I was
escorted back to the city by soldiers who
apologized for the stench and explained
politely that they were doing me and the
world a great favor by eliminating Ibos.”

Can you please tell me how many oil wells there and what is their reserve or production capacity. Besides what has the SE states din with the allocations they have been collecting. What have they done with the 13% derivation, NDDC, ministry of Niger delta. Let's ask questions, let's tell ourselves the truth and start from our states

The questions you posed have got no correlation to seeking self-determination. And you don't need to bother yourself about the outcome of a people's aspiration.

Japan, Luxembourg and Switzerland as one the top wealthiest countries in the world have fared well without crude oil but technology and brain.

There's freedom of association. Strange bedfellows, with irreconcilable value systems that are at best suitable for the individual selves, are not meant to be together.

Credible institutions have published results of their studies showing Igbos as chart-toppers in the MDGs.
Business is all about smartness and no dullard or book-theory person can do better in a business than a person with native intelligence.
Mental superiority makes you want to find your own space.
Mentally dull people hate radical changes and want to just keep doing the same thing.

There is a correlation between Igbo achievements and 21 billion dollars remittances back into Nigerian economy on yearly basis as evidenced by statistics from Western Union. A less backward or less enterprising group of treasury looters cannot achieve such feat.

The Igbo youths are born into a society where they always have to think fast else they will be left at the mercy of free handouts from Abuja.
Igbos always try as much as possible to excel in their various pursuits in life. Little wonder you see many Igbos competing on the world-stage.

The Igbo struggle is strictly for hard-working achievers and goal-getters. You don't throw crumbs at Igbos and expect them to kowtow to your whims and caprices while their resources are being plundered to better other regions and their elites.

Without reliance on crude oil the Igbos have excelled and are more than ever before capable of doing more exploits and competing with the World powers!

The crude oil in Anambra, Abia, Enugu, Imo and even Ebonyi is more than enough for the Igbos. The whole of Enugu and Anambra States are sitting on natural gas deposits. And natural gas has more value than oil.

There is Coal in Enugu, Lime stone for cement in Abakaliki, Ebonyi; rice in Ebonyi State, Abia State - highest producer of cocoa. West Africa's largest market at Onitsha, Anambra; big markets and industries at Aba, Abia state and Nnewi, Anambra State.

The Great Igbo Nation is endowed with brawn, brain, beauty, natural and human resources, achievements, personalities, international links, sports, entertainment etc.

What you should concerned about is why these taxes aren't being paid in igboland? wink
I'd have selected some areas but no time. biafra isn't for Chris uba and co and believe me, d struggle has been sponsored by biafrans so far. I can assure u that those crooks will not have a say in biafra, this is a struggle by the people not something for polithiefcians. about Lagos I totally agree with u except who will do d selling? your normal agbero?
