Sir,lent began yesterday. So are corpers suppose to be in camp during fasting?.
Two more weeks for Christian corpers in camp while fasting.
Ramadan fasting begins around 2nd April so that will be 5 days or thereabout if batch B stream 2 commences on the 18th of March.

So why should Christian corpers fast for over 14 days in camp and NYSC reschedule Batch B stream 2 because of the Ramadan fast?.

Would it not be injustice?

Stream 2 are definitely going to camp march 18,ramadan or not
If they aren't going to camp march 18,nysc won't ask schools to update their senate list now

though you are right. We're just trying to analyse how NYSC do conduct their programme. Especially, the past two years. If you recall last year, it was after fasting before stream 2 went to camp. According to the timetable now, fasting will commence last week in camp. I don't know how NYSC want to do that aspect. I'm only guessing probably NYSC would move it forward. I don't have the final say

It will be unfair and unethical for nysc to postpone batch a stream 2 because of the Ramadan fast while batch a stream 1 corpers are in camp fasting.

The last time I checked, Nigeria has 3 notable religions.For the next two weeks, Christians would be in camp fasting.
If the march 18 timetable is feasible, then the Muslim corpers will just fast about 5 days or even less than that in camp.
We all know that the lent fasting is even more tedious that the Ramadan fast.

If NYSC decides to postpone batch a stream 2 camping because of the Ramadan fast then Nigeria is not a secular Nation.

What is good for the goat is also good for the cow.
They should not have mobilized batch a stream 1 corpers then .They should have waited for after lent,easter,Ramadan before mobilizing batch a stream 1&2.

It has happened in the past and it may still happen again. I won't be surprise if it does..

Religious matter is sensitive in Nigeria

red cross is less stressful compare to OBS

Red cross are for emergency on parade ground and other camp activities

OBS are meant for dissemination of information in camp

You will register like every other PCMs, at the end of the registration, you will receive a message stating that you have been excluded from participation in the service and that your certificate of exception will be sent to your school at a specific time. Usually within 3 weeks.

Kaduna NYSC is not save and it’s at risk of being attacked by bandits you can ask any corps member if you have one recently in camp, there has been panicking over there , they were being informed that their survival is in their hands

call up letter, green card, NCDC/covid test, medical fitness certificate, school certificate/statement of result, school ID card, 8 passport photograph. Make 5 copies for each documents

You can adhere to the rest of the advice but don't make 5 copies of documents, plenty copies in my bag now, none they collect
