I do not insult the "Igbo nation" dude. I've got a lot of respect for them as an ethnic group but have very strong reservations for the conduct of some self appointed Igbo spokesmen on this forum. They are the ones giving the Igbos bad publicity.

The Igbos are a very sophisticated people. Like someone once said, I have NEVER seen a lazy Igbo man, and that is an enviable virtue. Give an Igbo man two cents and he'd convert it to fifty in days. That is their gift, that is what they are renown for- industry. Perhaps, politics just isn't their thing...

Point of correction... Igbo r not sophisticated people pls ..we do not attribute that to ourselves ...that title is solely owned and reserved for the Yoruba

We prefer our simplicity in achieving greater things

Oke afa na egbu Nwa Nkita

Pls we are not contesting that sophisticated title pls

If Igbo women are known for being prostitutes how come many of your Yoruba men would rather die to have Igbo women in marriage?

What else could be the reason why many Yoruba men choose the 'prostitute' Igbo women at the expense of the numerous cheap, dirty, promiscuous and unrefined Yoruba women who are notorious in jumping from husband bed to several beds in town and bearing children for different men as if it's more or less a Yoruba culture?

Are you not aware that in Yoruba land you can have father-in-law and father competing with son-in-law/son to sleep with daughter/daughter-in-law for some spiritual powers in this modern age of civilisation?

As for money, are you trying to state that Abacha, Obj, IBB, MKO Abiola, Danjuma, Abdulsalam, Tinubu, etc. that wrecked this country and brought her to the present miserable state are Igbos?

How dare you insinuate that Igbos are greedy and selfish when:

Northerners in collusion with Yorubas robbed Nigeria blind using the Indigenization decree in 1972, and proceeded to plunder the crude oil resource and owning virtually all the oil blocks.

The North and their Southern stooges have been sucking Niger-delta crude oil and degrading the environment for decades.

Are Igbos the ones behind the inflating and selling of lands in Abuja and Lagos at exorbitant prices ranging from hundreds of millions to billions of Naira per plot?

And yet Igbos have helped in building Lagos and Abuja amongst other states, and you dare insinuate that they are greedy and selfish.

If Igbos are the problem with Nigeria why would mischievous hypocrites like you become embittered that Igbos seek self-determination.

If you and your lots are not the arrogant, selfish and greedy parasites why do you always weep and wail at the mention of Biafra as if your life sustenance is being is taken away?

You must be the greatest liar of the Century!

Right. I don't see how Igbos are 'slaves' when there are actual slaves in the North. People that are owned by other people and sold as property. Inherited by their children, and work estates/farms. Real living slavery exists in Nigeria so we should take hypothetical slavery out of the equation.

One legacy of the civil war is Igbos being overtly critical of each other. A renegade will go to a public forum and criticize whatever they see as the 'problem' with the rest of the group. We are 1 academically, 1 one industry, 1 in commerce 1 in sports 1 in entertainment 1 in urban and rural development. We have the highest life expectancy according to the UN, we met our Millennium Development Goals first, We're among the only states that aren't in debt, he have the highest literacy and the safest state in Nigeria according to the Nigerian police department (Enugu). We have the most millionaires.

People will then turn around and say 'we' aren't good politically, but we are governors in 7 states, more than any other ethnicity. We are represented in governments of 4 out of 5 regions and we are the backbone of the People's Democracy Party which controls roughly 48% of the Nigerian political sphere, as well as APGA, and the Labor Party.

We're in the UK government in number, the polish government, and the US government. We're debatably in the presidency of Gabon

I think we're doing alright with or without these alleged bridges. I can't name a group of people in Africa that have done a better job reaching out to others. I have no Yoruba neighbors in Owerri, and there are none in our government. While we're in their government and they have Igbo neighbors. So who's reaching out to who?
Oh my! Lovely.

I posted a thread yesterday lamenting the plight of the igbos and how they continue shooting themselves in the foot by hating Yorubas but I was insulted and lampooned by igbos on this board.

Now less than 24 hours since I posted that thread, Uche Secondus a self acclaimed IGBO man has said that the PDP Presidential ticket has been zoned to the North. The PDP has presently constituted is an IGBO/BIAFRAN party and the structures of the party is currently being controlled by IGBOS. My question goes thus: is there no Credible IGBO man in the whole of Nigeria that can be presented to vie for PRESIDENT? I want my Igbo brothers to answer this question. AM I BEING VINDICATED OR NOT?

When we preach to the igbos to change their ways and build bridges, insults will rain like missiles from fighter jets in Syria. Igbos only know how to exhibit extreme hubris and chestbeat. An EDO man has better chances of being Nigerian President than an IGBO man. Sincerely I feel sorry for IGBOS. All igbos reading this knows it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for an Igbo man to as much as near the Vice President seat of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I know I will be insulted and maligned by igbos who will comment on this thread but we will keep preaching for attitudinal change by the igbos.

This PDP zoning is a clear message for the igbos.Let the insults begin!!!

Yoruba dogs of war are always scared of any progressive idea.
Don't cry for igbos, worry about your yoruba people. Igbo proverb says when a sacrifice is performed and you don't see the vultures, then something terrible happened in the land of the dead.

Yorubas have turned themselves into vultures. Simply there to scavenge crumbs and plot how Igbo will be disadvantaged in the equation. Time will come when you will realize you have wasted all your time trying to disadvantage Igbo, rather than solve yoruba problems.

Please I want my Igbo country men to contribute actively to this thread naaa. Let's discuss how we can salvage the igbos from this self inflicted slavery.

I state it here and now that the igbos on Nairaland should all bow their heads in shame becasy within a period of 6 years you have made almost all Nigerians hate the Igbo tribe more than we did just after the Civil war. On this site owned by a Yoruba a man you have radicalized hitherto friendly Yoruba's who are the only people that still tolerate you in Nigeria. Because of your rants, Igbos lost a commissioner seat in Lagos cabinet, because of you, Yoruba's want you out of Lagos.

The reason for my pity for igbos of late is due to the realization that Igbos are really trapped in a country where they are hated and they can't ascend the highest office in their country. I know most of the hateful igbos on this site live and work in alaigbo and they don't care about the effect of the hate rhetoric on normal peace loving igbos in other parts of Nigerians. Hateful igbos online need to apologise to the igbos in other parts of the Country for what you have put them through in this country.

The wounds of the Jonathan regime will take a long time to heal. Igbos should never have shown their contempt for Yoruba's due to how powerful the Yoruba's are in Nigeria.

I know I will be insulted and I am waiting.

Spot on, you've nailed the nail on the head,

You are a fool.
The average igbo man in Nigeria has a much higher standard of living than the rest Nigeria.
That is the most important thing.
Brown roof proliferation , VVF, terrorism, child marriage, wild spread chronic poverty, are the symptoms of slavery and i am sure you can agree that those are not present in igboland.

Some people thinks a yoruba will be voted to rule this country before an Igbo. Can yoruba either in APC or PDP beat a Fulani man at the polls.

Mr man,you don't seem to get it.......the north has held power for a long time, but till today, its still ravaged by poverty, polio and almajiris.....
Also Nigerian mentality that an igbo president will divide Nigeria is one of the many reasons for the biafran agitation, irrespective of the length of bridge one builds.....that notion first has to be corrected b4 any fault games.
The BIAFRANS you see today may not be the BIAFRANS of the civil war,the agitations/boycotting of elections by igbos you see today may not be what we want, but Nigeria is making it look like our last resort..that notion is what is resurrecting the agitation for Biafra and it's only a matter of time..

Talk about unity:Igbos are actually the most social friendly ethnic group in Nigeria, that's why we are everywhere in Nigeria, unlike other tribes that are so isolated in their regions.
We unit Nigeria.

Before something spoils,it smells. cool
Biafra we want,Biafra we shall get..
You can shove your president up ur shitty a*ss.
the north you claim to be poverty ravaged is the same place you and your people are running to in droves. Even in the heat of the Boko haram saga, you all prefered to rather die in there than to go to your hunger ravaged biafran. Infantile dreamer.
