Fight corruption how?
Timipre Slyva's EFCC case being squashed and same contesting for governorship?
Audu Abubarkar contesting for governorship in Kogi asking for votes that he will return N11B he stole?

Those tagged as thieves in PDP that migrated to APC are now saints; is that the fight against corruption?

OP, your opinion is not necessary, PMB has taken his decision. Your advice and logic is OYO for you . Stop Wailing

I don't know what you think or what's going through your mind when you type such things here.
Are we a Democracy or a dictatorship that you tell a citizen his opinion is not necessary??
Did we vote for Buhari to become the. Minister of petroleum or. Be a President? Is insecurity not a greater threat to us as a nation or is petroleum more important?
Aren't you concerned about Buhari making the system less attractive to whoever becomes minister of petroleum than assuming the role himself?

I think he should double as minister of defence so he can use his experience as former general to bring our girls back.

OBSEQUIOUS:
When Buhari gave the famous speech at eagle square that military command center will be moved to battle area everyone clapped for a general and commander in chief ready to lead his army.
Yes! We need a general to quash boko haram according to APC propaganda, and yes! We got THE GENERAL.

Usually, i do not comment or discuss hearsay/rumour. i'm yet to find any tangible proof showing or stating that Buhari plans to be minister(petroluem) as your thread title suggests. Nonetheless, it is a very welcome development if it is so. Anyways, tomorrow is not too far away. Over to your thread, everyone did not clap for Buhari's speech. Wailers made noise about why command center should not be at the battle front, its dangers, how things are done in US and Iraq etc.

(1). Has general Buhari been to the command center since he moved them their? Or he simply sent a civilian Osinbajo with no "military experience" like Jonathan?.

He doesn't need to be there to do his job. He put them there to do their job. Even if he lives there, he can only boost their morale which is already done, he won't carry gun or whatever you imagine he should do instead.

(2). Has general Buhari visited any of the explosion sites like the "weak" Jonathan did?.
The former president was 'clueless', we didn't vote Buhari to follow his steps.

(3). Has there not been more bombings in 3 months under the general than it was in 3 years under "the civilian" Jonathan?
No. We have lost over 20,000 lives to boko haram insurgency officially. Of that over 20,000, Buhari's administration is not officially up to 1,500. Take note. Also, bombings increased due to desperation and change of strategy on the part of the insurgents. That was their only option left. In the former government, they festered, grew, captured towns and local governments, pillaged barracks and police stations, kidnapped women and children in their hundreds. All that is stopped, so the bombing desperation is expected and will be stopped soon by God's grace.

(4). They say Jonathan celebrated independence day inside Aso rock because of fear of boko haram, now the GENERAL who made gallant statement at eagle square and ordered the military chiefs to defeat boko haram in 3 months hide himself and the legion of guards in same Aso rock this year as boko haram were relentlessly bombarded Abuja.

The current government spent/approved just 70million for Independence Day celebration compared to the billions that was the usual style of the past administration. You don't need a very great IQ to see that the celebration was low key.

(5). How come there is this criminal silence on the almost daily killings and raiding and bombings going on in the north by both boko haram and Fulani cowboys killing and destroying towns and villages and even adding kidnapping now (ask Pa Olu Falae) despite us having a general as president?, oh! I get it, if the people know and are adequately informed about the cases, then it will deflate the "we have conquered boko haram" lies.
(6). THE REAL DANGER IS NO LONGER IN THE ATTACKS BUT IN THE DELIBERATE CONCEALING OF TRUTH ABOUT THE ATTACKS JUST TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE WAR IS OVER.

i'm guessing you are hearing your own news straight from heaven or angels or through visions? The activities of boko haram are in the news, they are on NTA, channelstv, saharareporters, premiumtimes, dailytrust, punchng etc. They are referred to on social media too, are you on this planet? Actually, the news was muffled in the previous administration, not this current administration. So many hundreds of kidnaps and killings and the former Presidency were very silent about it, dancing around Kano, first ladies disgracing the nation, DSS and co denying news reports, etc. If not for small girl Malala that came to tell GEJ about Chibok girls openly before the government accepted, and so many more. If you dop not know, we know and we have not forgotten sir.

(7). They keep showing us how many boko haram fuel depot and foodstuffs they discovered all over the place and YET no discovery of the CHIBOUK GIRLS upon whose (abduction??) they based one of their strongest propaganda against Jonathan.

It is the victories gotten that can be shown. If they find the Chibok girls, i'm sure they will not hide them. At least, they have been showing hundreds of others that were rescued and those that have been arrested. If you know where the Chibok girls are or have suggestions, you can tell us. The government is seriously looking for them. Jonathan lost because his government failed, not just because or evewn chiefly because of Chibok girls. Its BBOG group that were shouting about about Chibok girls and they are still doing that daily and weekly in different states.

(cool. Bombs does not discriminate, it doesn't know if you are APC, PDP, APGA or of any political party or religious background, so it is something that must be roundly condemned by all well meaning Nigerian, BUT WHEN POLITICIANS USE A BAD SITUATION LIKE THE BOKO HARAM THING AS PROPAGANDA TO WIN ELECTION ONLY FOR THEM TO START LOOKING FOR EXCUSES FOR FAILING TO STOP IT, THEN WE SHOULD BE SERIOUSLY WORRIED FOR OUR DEAR NATION.
If Buhari has anything "GENERAL" in him, let him take the Defence ministry (that is where Nigeria need him now)and not the petroleum ministry.

Nobody is looking for excuses, you are the one looking for excuses. The government maintains that they are committed to ending boko haram problems before the end of the year. Do your part in helping that cause if you can, or keep quiet and engage in things that you understand better. We need Buhari in the Petroluem ministry because that is where over 90% of our revenue comes from. That is the base and major of our economy. If it fails or goes wrong, it is him they will blame. That is where the biggest corruption is. That is where he needs to monitor and make sure that nothing is covered or brushed under the carpet in ongoing investigations and audits of those who have stolen our commonwealth. The fight against corruption, and the economy is right there.

We shall continue to pray that God expose those behind the killing of innocent Nigerians.
LET BUHARI TAKE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE AS "THE GENERAL" HE IS, THEN WE CAN TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY.

It's better you pray than all these needless and senseless complaints. We do not need you to take Buhari seriously. He has lived thuis far without you taking him seriously, and God will grant him more life, success and 8years as Nigeria's president without you taking him seriously. Thanks.
