Should her husband pound yam for her? I will like to know your views.

A man can pound yam for his wife if she is on the fragile side, my Dad used to do the pounding when we were younger because my mama just didnt have that kind of energy. Its no big deal, anyways i cant pound instead the yam will pound me so if hubby wants to eat pounded yam, he will have to do it himself if not na eba he go chop.

Buy the wife pounded yam flour if she cant pound.

If he wants to do it, let him. Are you really going to tell someone not to do something in his own relationship? And he'll listen? He has no backbone, doesn't have an opinion of his own? Is just that we Nigerians are filled up with tradition that some might kick against it.

Somehow, I feel the kitchen is the woman's headqtrs. If she needs yams pounded, she should make decisions that must not include me. She may hire help, tell her kids to do it, or buy pounded yam. The kitchen should be off limits to the man.

Why not just buy her a yam pounder. I never saw my mom pound anything in her life. She had a yam pounder that boiled the yam and when it was boiled she turned the button and it pounded the yam. 2009 and we still talking about this?

I wouldnt want her to stress herself that much since i'll want her looking sexy & delicate at all times (not building muscle from all the yam pounding) . doesnt mean she wouldnt do the chores but there's just some that are damn too stressful. besides there's just some things i wouldnt let my mother do when am home, so why should i let my wife do them (are they both not women)

Lest I forget, my point is that men can pound for their wives, but it should not be her demanding for it to be done. If I happen to be sitting and gisting with ma wife inside the kitchen and she wants to pound yam, I can tell her to pass the job to me. But for her to come and call me out of the telly to come and pound in the kitchen and you allow that, one day she will come and pull you from your business discussion at the sitting room to pound pepper!

@ Hauwa, pls understand me, my point is that the pounding should be the man's idea not forced to do so. I wont support anyone forcing their wife to cook, if she is tired then we can eat out.
