In any case they may be trying to reduce his level of political influence which I doubt they can succeed.
Men this man should be supported for his sense of focus & vision rather than being persecuted ..His boldness to support a candidate that is different from his geographical extraction made him him a national leader from the south south .. He choses to be nationalistic rather than serving any parochial interest.. The entire senate appreciate this virtue in the man ..Ameachi no shaking jooo!
He looted rivers resources,owing workers salaries,he should return all d money,after that,he would be supported.GEJ and Madueke have not been convicted but you all beleived they were corrupt,why would Ameachi own be diff?

I wish this senator is not in any way misinterpreting the Senate's rule demanding endorsement of any ministerial nominee by at least two senators from his state to mean any big deal or hurdles for people like Amaechi. This rule is targeted at the contentious issues like the settler or indigene by marriage and a stuff like that because ministerial appointment ought to be relatively one candidate from each state so that no state would feel shortchanged under such pretext. Which no matter what no any serving senator from today's Rivers no matter the political differences or any unsettled scores will claim Amaechi is not a Rivers man. Do not forget that the two senators from each state are not vested with nomination power but identification power.
Just like Gov Fayose of Ekiti playing to the gallery asking the Ekiti senators to support Mr Fayemi's candidature, there is no two ways for them, they just have to, identify him as an indigene of the state chikenan! No more no less. Needless to misinform the reading public.

The Rivers people and pdp should take a cue from their hero in ekiti, fayose who said an ekiti man is first of all an ekiti man in backing up Fayemi. The reason for the division btw wike and Amaechi no longer exists which is mama peace and GEJ. carrying over that bitterness for the man who is back is otueke is so silly and unreasonable.

Rivers state has an opportunity to have a man who will be very close to the C in C, I thought everyone in Nigeria has been talking about a Government who will embrace everyone irrespective of wherever they are from.

I challenge Wike to be a man and back up his former boss after all they were all in pdp before GEJ divided them. I am one of those who still believe that wike and amaechi will settle their differences especially since GEJ is no longer in aso rock. Wike can negotiate with his case at the tribunal for this. This is Nigeria, its all politics.

Again , they made the allegation. The onus is on them to trace the money and tell us that so so amount went into this account and it belongs to Amaechi.... So so properties were bought by part of the money linked with amaechi ,.......so so companies or shares of Companies were purchased with the funds linked with amaechi.
So far none of sort. The onus is on any fool that alleges to substantiate their allegations and not for Amaechi to explain. He isn't the governor anylonger. They now have the records not him. They should tell us what is in the records.

Nigeria is a very funny country! Some people are talking about day of judgement for those against Amaechi forgetting the same Amaechi fought dirty and brought others down. What goes around comes around. My take is that the senate itself is very corrupt they are open to the highest bidder. Just last night, stories made the rounds that indicated these senators have been bought over with 24,000USD each while while the high and mighty senators received mouth watery sum of $1.7million each. So what's new? Whether u like it or not the corrupt ministerial nominees will all succeed including the Amaechi like it or not your input doesn't count. Expect nothing new it is just business as usual with this 8th senate. If anyone one of the nominee fails, know that he or she stepped on big toes. The Master PMB is in the know of it all and the corruption will go on and on while doom looms large.This nation needs spiritual redeption. That's my take.

Why don't u give the same counsel to u and ur colleagues who have already concluded that he is guilty and deserves no place in FG? All what u av presented are inconsistent allegations, throwing figures about without any fact to back it up and demanding for Amaechi to give explanation when the records are in ur hands (wike). Don't u think u are being hypocritical here. So far since they have started their investigation, he hasn't been found culpable. Even omereji while delivering his report to wike never mentioned that so so amount was traced to Amaechi or so so Amaechi's properties were bought from govt money? The advise is best suited for u.
