davit:But the truth told, this indriver is a setback to drivers earnings. The system is design to benefit riders. Last night I was in lekki ph1 and there was serious surge on the Bolt App, for over 1hr that i set destination to the mainland I couldn't find any trip the few request that came in "rider cancelled" was the immediate response I recieved. 8pm, I'd to find my way home, so I taught of using my Indriver app. several requests update to the mainland, Ajah, and other island axis then I saw one that suit my destination, fortunately we where heading to the same street. Rider offered N3,600, I sent N6k+, rider rejected, sent N5k+, rider rejected, did 4.4k rider rejected still. PU was just about 300m. I looked away, then accepted on 3km PU to Surulere for 3.4k but my map was messing up so i waited and cancelled after 5min. The initial request was still there so I did 5k and rider accepted this time. Got to pickup and the rider is a lady I know. All these while, my Bolt app was still on yet no request came in. Indriver isn't the app we need at this time of the season, because riders can be very adamant with their fare offer irrespective of the odds. Funny enough, when we got to destination the lady said its the first time of hearing Indriver (her employee madebthe request), she has been trying to book a ride on Bolt for over an hour but the surge wouldnt allow her and according to her she'll start using Indriver. In any case shall, we will still survive. 1 Like |

Carshopper: [1] I strongly disagree with you on this, that isn't true. Though I don't know the companies you're referring to. [2] You don't have to own a terminal before you can succeed in interstate transportation business sir. To be sincere, opening a terminal as a new transport company is a grave mistake. You have to start under another umbrella organization, you learn from them before. Yes, you'll lose money because they'll charge you for loading in their facilities in addition to their passengers. By the way, what kinda terminal did you register your vehicles with? Which transport company? If it was the general motor park that's a mistake, the remaining ones will soon vanish. [3] From your analysis, your major concern is MONEY, with such mindset sir, failure is highly assured. Starting a transportation business is like a new born baby, it takes time to grow. You have to endure and nurture it. You'll loose a lot in the process, it's not a business for the feeble minded. The operation cost of a Toyota Sienna far outweighs that of a Toyota haice bus, [1:2 ratio] yet bus carries more passengers and burn less fuel, why do we still have Sienna's on the road? I'm not writing some kinda theory, I'm writing out of a successful experience. As a matter of fact, in few months of operations I'm seeing green light already. A good business model will give you good returns. When I was about starting, due to the high cost of haice, I had series of recommendations from people, some recommended Sienna, some Odyssey while some suggested Hyundai H1, I opened a thread and people advised me on what to do. I add that to my research and experience, I settled with Sienna and H1 [they serve different purposes]. The company I registered my vehicles required a comprehensive insurance, zenith gave me a good option with tracker inclusive, in addition to the already installed tracker by the transport company. One more thing, the more technology you invest in your transportation business, the more crime you curtail. You don't need to follow up a driver to know if he has load or not. The cars are supervised by the transport company you register them with. Then with tracker in that car you will know whenever the driver is on a trip. You can even call the tracker and it will pick the call then you listen to their conversations in/around the vehicle. Many things are lacking in your write up sir. In addition, what kinda drivers did you hand over you hard earned money (vehicles) to? How educated are they? How knowledgeable are they in auto-repairs? Can they diagnose the car and spot the fault before those destroyers (Kazeem) arrived? Don't give your drivers hard target (your car will suffer), don't harass them, they're heartless due to the danger they see everyday on their line of duty, you can't intimidate them, they're like farmiliar spirits (lolz). Rendering SWOT irrelevant is a sign of failure, that's the greatest ingredient of any business plan/model. My one cent. 16 Likes |

Felicity0001: I just remembered I've not updated this post. ... The younger brother to the guy that made the transfer came... Me: pls call your bros I haven't seen the alert. He came, opened the door and sat. R: I've been debitted, this is my house, you can come back here and check me if you don't get it. Me: you didn't confirm my name b4 sending, you just said sent and you left what of you sent to the wrong account? Guy was tense at this point trying to look for my name on his debit alert but couldn't find any. 10min, 15min past we were still deliberating on the issue...yet alert never showed. His parents where out already and the old man was suggesting to call the police so we can go to the station and settle the matter I just look am and chuckled at his ignorance and naivety. Guy was just talking back n front, how Zenithbank deducted almost a 100k from his sis's account bla bla... Me I was just quiet looking at him to either resend the money or I see it drop into my account. If it comes in double I send back you money. They all objected. Me: You see? But you guys want me trust you right? Oga pls pay me my money let me leave it's already late. na so we dey oooh... Guy was just talking plenty how I'm embarrassing and abusing his integrity. I never knew silence could do that. Finally, alert dropped after 55min. This my 2nd coming on Bolt my modus operandi has changed and this is one of it. No one leaves till I confirm payment. No matter how little thw money is. I kept a rider waiting for almost 30min on Monday as I and my present rider were waiting for me to see alert. On Friday, another rider waited at Okota B/S for almost 20m while I await alert of 6.5k from Union bank from a guy I brought his gf from Surulere, rider eventually cancelled after several calls. So guys lets learn to wait rather than face the pain of calling riders to pay up a debt. 12 Likes |

calabardick: ... This statement says it all... .... If you put ur vehicle under an umbrella company, you should know what they charge .... One seat goes to the park ...you pay management a "starting fee: compromises cartoon(s) of beer, malt and agreed sum" .... And u free to load from their park after registration. Major concern is always ROI ...that is what determines your fail or success rate... Abi u wan put money inside business well GodisGood previously was welcoming partners, drop sienna from 2011-2012 with them and get 350k monthly returns.... They stopped that and changed it brand new Hiace (for a reason) Having a terminal boosts ur control over wear n tear on the vehicles. ... I don't strongly disagree with you... I just adviced on one key to successful interstate transport business, follow your money investment from start to finish ... 1 Like |

calabardick: Mr SWAT/SARS ANALYSIS you just complicate yourself. SO if money is not ur major concern, why go into the business? So you were analyzing SWAT to go loose money. From my own experience I agree with Carshopper if u don't have park forget, you will never succeed, maybe with HP u will survive a little. I have 2 Sienna then, people who sees it when they come back from travel and bring me palm wine then will say, oboy you're doing well, not knowing i was loosing, while drivers are making cool money. In business experience is the key to success. 1 Like |

Carshopper: You're right sir, now you're talking. GIGM hasn't stopped ooo, if you have an insider you can still enroll, though not 350 again. That company is going south-side gradually, that boy ventured into the wrong side of politics with huge amount he borrowed from bank, his sponsored candidate failed the election. 1 Like |

calabardick: 100% correct.. It is lucrative and very challenging at the sametime.. Technology has made certain parts of the business easy ... If handled very well ,which comes with experience, you can create good cash flow business and good passive income ... Most investors get burnt when they have too many vehicles on the road that they can't handle. From experince I wouldn't want to have more than 5 cars on ehailing. Sometimes I am tempted to have more ,but fear dey catch ,can't over do myself o .. People that do interstate section of the business, my hats off to you ,you guys have the biggest balls ..me I no fit try am , the local route self na with 1 eye close I dey sleep at night.. Imagine state to state route , that means I no go sleep at nite be dat.... 6 Likes |
