Not even for engine service.
Tyre pump, change or rotation.

Hidden comma dey for that story or the guy na serious part time uber driver..i drive part time during the week and fully on weekends, with the kind of roads i don enter...2months cannot pass without visiting mechanic...whole day yesterday i was at Ladipo looking at surge waka pass...But the Analysis as compared to fixed deposit good n valid but most Nigerians do not have such risk appetite and would be okay with money in the bank..

Uber accepts third-party insurance, but why put your car on the road knowing it is not covered, buy insurance and get peace of mind in return.
Pls note, Uber doesn't accept third party insurance, Only comprehensive insurance is acceptable.

Top of the morning guys and happy sunday. Please I am looking for a drive to own car for 2million with maximum tenor of 15months with equal weekly installments.

If u don't have a car 1.2million will be needed in acquiring a good functional car for this purpose.

Car will be maintained by me and will be made available for partners inspection every 2weeks, partners repair workshop can be agreed upon for maintainance.

I have done my due diligence and I am an uber driver with over 6montths experience with about 600 5star trips and average 110k weekly.

Please if interested, let's talk or SMS 08088187315

If I may ask... Why 3rd party? Pls get comprehensive insurance and protect your asset. Don't allow an unexpected occurrence get you out of business temporarily or permanently. Speaking from an informed position.

Uber is one business that is worth investing in if you’d like to earn ₦130,000 monthly on a ₦1,700,000 investment. The 2 most important factors to succeed in the business are getting a practical car that is in good working condition. As well as getting a good and trustworthy driver.

E-hailing companies accepts 2003 and above four door cars. However, buying a 2003-2006 model is better so the car can repay itself on time whilst having a life span of 3 to 4 years on the platform before they yank if off.

When choosing the most practical car to use, you have to consider the following factors: Purchase cost, fuel economy, good air conditioner, reliability, maintenance cost, life span, resale value etc..

Despite how lucrative the business is, I noticed several cars have been pulling out of the Uber business due to accidents, reliability issues, fuel consumption especially vehicles with 6 cylinder engines etc.

I want to talk about investment and return on investment (ROI) in the context of E-hailing business (uber, taxify, oga taxi)
So I was researching fixed deposit rates, not to invest but to get a comparison between that and an investment in Uber.

The best rate I was able to get was 3% on a 30 day fix, that is, if you left your money with the bank for 30 days, they would give you an appreciation on your capital of 3%. So I though, let's choose a nominal figure for the sake of this post, a figure of say #1,500,000.

If you fix #1,500,000 naira on a percentage of 3%, at the end of the term, you make a profit (or interest) of 50,000 naira. A whooping sum of #12,500 per week. I believe there is also a service charge, though negligible, it will affect your bottom line.

Now let us look at an equivalent investment on Uber,
Now that e-hailing companies is accepting year 2003 cars and newer.
Let's say you invest in Uber with #1,500,000.
You are guaranteed returns of #130,000 per month
, #32,500 per week.

From my layman calculation that is about 8% compared to fixed deposits' 3%.

Quite a difference when the capital we speak of is #1,500,000 .

Now, I think you may speak of risk. Fixed deposits are essentially risk free, while Uber carries certain risks; accident, theft, fire etc., but that is where insurance comes in. For about #50,000 naira you can negate all risks, for up to 1 year. Over the course of a year, that is 4000 every month. Risk averted.
If we were to deduct interest from risk premium (insurance) we get a profit of 116,000 per month, still much higher than fixed deposit.

One legitimate concern of course is, what happens to mechanic costs when you have to fix the car (this is a variable and highly dependent on other factors, also it is unpredictable so I won't calculate that here), if you get a good vehicle, you don't have to worry about mechanic costs, I have been driving my car on Uber for 3 months and haven't had cause to visit a mechanic, so it's been all profit for me.

So how do you get a good car? Leave that to us, we can help you source for well-maintained vehicles from reputable car dealerships.
As fleet managers, we can help you purchase sound vehicles for your investment.

It is worthy to mention that no investment vehicle (no pun intended) is devoid of risk, fixed deposits are affected by inflation while Uber vehicles are affected by depreciation.

I think any investment that out performs the local fixed deposit rates is a good investment. Think about it.

Invest in Uber today.

Bank interest rate dont work that way. The 3% rate Will be calculate for an annum first then broken down to one month if thats how long u intend keeping the deposit. 3% of 1.5 equals 45k. 45,000 divided by 12months equals 3,750. You get 3750 monthly and not 45k. The interest rates are currently higher than 3% though. Open to corrections.

RALLY! RALLY! RALLY!

To all driver partners.

The Coalition of e-Hailing stakeholders, a body comprising of group Admins and leaders amongst the driver partner community will be having a rally at the TAXIFY office on MONDAY the 5th of FEBRUARY 2018, by 10am.

This has become necessary to create enlightenment to all driver partners on the continued degrading treatment of driver partners by TAXIFY.

Our rights are being trampled on every day.

Each time we complain, TAXIFY totally disregards our contributions.

Various driver partners have written to TAXIFY on the various issues in the past and recently.

1⃣Rider verification
2⃣Destinatination pre notification.
3⃣Indiscrimante blocking and suspension
4⃣Dissapering bonuses
5⃣Unguaranteed Cash trip payments
6⃣Rider assault and robbery.
7⃣Irregular App activity.
8⃣Threat from staffers of TAXIFY.
9⃣Non indemnity on work related activities.
Malignant, discriminatory and vindictive accusation and judgment of driver partners.

And so much more.

On all of these issues, TAXIFY has continued to turn a deaf ear.

Now is the time to stand up for our right.

TAXIFY once again claims to want to hold a roundtable event with driver partners.

Of the over 7000 drivers registered to their platform.
They created reservation opportunities for only 350 persons.

This is none other than the height of deception, discrimination and a carefully orchestrated plan to divert the present narrative on driver security and improved working conditions.

They need to hear from us all, our inputs in this business can not continue to be disregarded.

We are requesting our own roundtable and will all go together to submit our agenda.

Be a part of this movement.

#TogetherWeShallAchive

Kindly communicate with you group leaders or admin for more info.

Is there anything stringent about the condition mam....asking for a security deposit is only to confirm the serious of the driver...it's nt easy to invest almost 2m to set up a car

A 1 week straight boycott will do. There are few other e-hailing companies, if there be scarcity on one, theyd switch to another. No driver no taxify. Besides this will give other e-hailing companies the edge to be known.
