Hey Car freaks/Tech/Experts; please I am planning to buy a Ford Escape 2008 model,am not a car expert...I just wanted to get some reviews about the car before I go for it...I've always been a toyota person but I just started falling in love with FORD!

Ford has been a reliable car. Being an American originated car. But would advice you do the following so as to see this Ford serve you well without complains,

1) before purchasing run a scan on a comprehensive scan on the ride

2) avoid kazeems aka road side mechanics

3) use the recommended engine oil and transmission oil. Mind you Abro is not a good transmission oil

4) get a competent mechanic to come inspect the ride on purchase

Where do you live and where is the location of the car you want to buy.

Get the vin number of the car and post it here someone will look at the history and then the will recommend if that particular car has a good history.

Escapes in general have been good to a lot of users some have had issues and those that say they are going to buy honda or toyota are the ones I don't trust because they sound more like paid trolls

Look out for rust

In fact am highly impress, according to mayor 2013 and Sultan. Escape 2008 is very good and reliable. The engine, transmission, suspension and brake are highly durable once you abide by specifications as earlier said. The electronic isn't problematic as you avoid Kazeem that could damage the PCM. Unlike GAZZUZZ, you need not to Weaver about rust, I give you my words of profession because series of Fords are what I've embedded myself, I go bed and wake up with Fords daily , you will hardly see Ford in panel beater's workshop for rust repair because the chassis and body were made of the toughest properties of metal. So Ford escape 2007-2011 is a vehicle you can trust

I can categorically beat my chest and recommend this car, My neighbour is one of the most I don't care and I don't give a damn car owner. Never washes his car, never guages his tyre or oil/coolant and the likes infact never opens the Bonnet or boot, just opens door, hop inside and drives off. comes back in the night and stays 20mins with AC on in his car. And he uses this same ford escape and a kia sportage but drives the ford more. So am guessing this car is a solid ride. he got his brand new
