The thread is an eye-opener. It is a unique way the Lord has used to minister to many on nairaland forum and will continue to use it in future. Battles has been fought here, both in the heart and mind of many and the Lord has won the victory for us. Kingdom of darkness has been shattered and exposed here and many that was held in bondage were set free. Therefore it is important that will keep the thread going. Although many of us are now on busy schedules, but we may find out some time out of our busy schedules to contribute positively to the lives of others who will stumble here in the future.

Let me go straight to point. Some time last year, I needed a solution to my problem so I prayed for the Holy Spirit to give me wisdom/idea/revelation on how to tackle this problem. Now an idea came to my head which I analysed and it appeared to be a perfect solution to this problem. But when I finally executed this idea (solution), It aggravated my problem. In fact I'm having regrets now. My condition afterwards, now appears to be worse.
Now my confusion: was it the HolySpirit that gave me this "idea" or was it just my subconscious?
When I spoke to my pastor about this, he gave me the analogy of Israelites and the Red sea: God was leading them to a perfect place but there are bound to be obstacles on the way. But I'm finding it hard to believe him. To me, I feel God was only trying to show the Israelites how powerful he was; hence the red sea and other sufferings along the way. BUT my situation is different because I already know that God is all Powerful.

PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME MEN OF GOD. My faith is being affected. As a matter of fact, i'm now so scared to pray and ask HolySpirit for guidance. I don't pay attention to my pastors sermons anymore! I'M IN WITHDRAWAL MODE!

First of all, i advise you not to be discouraged no matter what you face. Put your faith in God, for only He can bring you out of any mess.


Sometimes when we think we hear from God, we actually hear our own thoughts and desires. And these thoughts and desires are deep in our subconscious that they might even appear in our dreams.. Then when we dream it or think about it, we think we have actually heard from God.


And other times we actually hear from God and act on God's word, wanting an immediate result. But it isn't always like that.


Right now, it doesn't matter whether you heard from God or not. What matters here is if you have faith in Him.


The Israelites were "People of God" who did not know God. God was bringing them back to Him and was fulfilling the promises He made to their forefathers (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob). It wasn't a show of power. God was trying to get their attention at the same time and set them free from the Egyptians and from themselves. These people were spoilt; very stubborn and very faithless.


These people were so faithless that just because they didn't hear from Moses for forty days/night (timeframe of testing) after he went to the mountain to get the 10 commandments, they carved an idol to call as their god; a calf (god Apis aka Baal) from the pagan traditions they inherited in Egypt. The pagan traditions and system of the Egyptians was deeply in their blood system, and it would be difficult convincing them to turn to the Lord. Hence the Lord had to discipline them throughout their journey to the Promised Land. I'm sure you know the rest.


Your situation is a lack of faith. You take a decision, then get a sour taste in the mouth. And then you immediately lose faith in God, scared to talk to God for direction. Your pastor isn't your problem. Your problem is that you lack faith. And this isn't really a difficult thing. You just need to go to God in FAITH, and He will hear you. That's all.

It's not betting sir. But I have taken heed to the advices here.

Continuation of my testimony. Hmmmmm. After I was given admission and I had paid my acceptance fee, I thought everything was secure because normally if a school gives you admission and you pay your acceptance fee, you've already become a student but that wasn't the case with mine. My admission was still attacked by the enemy after paying my acceptance fee. So, my school exceeded the number of students they were supposed to admit and I couldn't pay my school fees because of that. Instead of seeing the payment link on my portal, I was seeing something else. The thing is Jamb controls the total number of student universities can admit but my school exceeded theirs and if you didn't pay your school fees on time, you won't see the payment link on your portal.

So concerning the quota stuff, it had happened before but was rectified when the students complained to the school. When it was rectified, I couldn't pay because my money wasn't complete. So the first time the quota stuff happened, we were told by those already in school to make part payment because the school expects you to pay something from your school fees to show that you are serious instead of waiting for your school fees to complete and then pay at once. I took that advise and paid part of my school fees. So when I got the remaining of my fees, I wanted to pay but the link was not longer there, I was seeing the quota stuff.

So, I kept checking my portal from time to time so I can pay immediately they bring the link back but they didn't. I was checking almost everyday and also in the night because sometimes, they do rectify it around 11pm. Sometimes I wouldn't sleep, still checking my portal around 1 in the midnight. People were saying that they want to decline our admission because they've already exceeded their quota. So before all this quota stuff, madprophet had already told me that there were powers waiting to disgrace me in 2021 and told me that I should be praying. When I was hearing about all this quota and admission decline stuff, I thought about what he told me and concluded that this quota stuff was their plan. Imagine the people that I have told about me gaining admission into university. So, I prayed and fasted one day. Started 12am in the midnight and broke by 6pm in the evening. I prayed and worshipped for about 1hour 30minutes.

So the next day, those that had paid part of their school fees were told to send their details that they want to open the portal. That was how I sent my details. So I resumed 3 days ago, I had not paid the remaining then but I believed they would open it because the God that started his work will complete it. Behold, the next day I resumed I checked my portal and I saw that it had opened. I paid immediately and that was how the enemy was put to shame.Now those that haven't paid part of their school fees are still having this issue. It was just God's plan for me to pay part then because if I hadn't paid part then, I would still be at home hoping that it would open.

I really missed a lot of details, my phone is not that okay. Ever since I have been here, I have been feeling the enemy raging really bad against me but I would prevail by God's grace.

A familiar spirit is a demon that is "familiar" with a person or family.

If a person was deeply involved in some sort of sin, and died as a result of that sin, or went to the grave with that sin, a familiar (attached to that person) spirit will arise to cling onto another person.


And the best person/people to attach to would have to be people who are close to the one who died (it's former victims). And these close people are usually the family members of the deceased; wife, husband, brothers, sisters, nephew's, nieces etc.

This spirit benefits from the emotional attachment the family members have for the deceased. As they continually think of the deceased, the emotional cord strengthens. And now would be the time for the familiar spirit to take advantage of the situation.


The spirit would then begin to appear in the dreams of these family members, posing as the deceased. The dreams will keep coming in different ways. The dreams keep coming in an effort to deceive the dreamer that that is indeed the deceased (their loved one who died).


The moment the dreamer is convinced that their deceased loved one is trying to pass a message to them, the familiar spirit posing as this person would be very glad.


Then it might begin to speak in the dream to the dreamer, still posing as the deceased.
In many cases, when the dreams first start, the familiar spirit posing as the deceased would not speak, and that's because it is trying to see if the mind of the dreamer is captivated by seeing their loved one in the dream.


At this juncture, when ACCEPTANCE is in play. There becomes a binding agreement (unknown to the person) between the familiar spirit and that person. Hence, the familiar spirit can now attach itself to the person, making he/she it's victim.


I remember an occurrence that happened when a relative died. The Lord came in a dream and was saying "See what will happen".

Behold a familiar spirit arose in the likeness and appearance of this old woman who had died. And it came to cause a division between the woman's family and mine. To the extent of demarcating portions of the compound etc.

I told my grandmom how it would happen. And one day she called me to say "it has happened"

The Lord told me in that dream, "You defeat a familiar spirit using the Blood of Jesus".


Anyway, that familiar spirit was a spirit that worked witchcraft in the deceased's life before she died. If there is one common thing in a family, like drunkenness, thefts, gambling or even cancer or ordinary malaria that kills members of the family, it means there is a familiar spirit hiding in that family.


If a person loved to fornicate or commit adultery and that took him/her to the grave, a familiar spirit will roam about seeking whom to attach to in the family to continue that sinful trait that will eventually cause the deaths of the family members it attaches itself to. It could be anything. Just about anything wicked.


If you keep dreaming of dead relatives or even friends. Rebuke the dream and rebuke the familiar spirit posing as them. Those are not your loved ones.


For it appointed for man to die once, and after this.. judgement takes place. That's what God's word says. Deceased ones are not roaming. But familiar spirits posing as them are.

I remember having a very Spiritually sound week with the Lord, I faced many battles in my dreams and won.

I was so hot that I had dreams where I was praying for the sick and healing them .
But of course like always the devil is never far away,

This morning I had a dream/ attack that made me feel down and depressed when I woke up, I was sad. Sat up on my bed and kept asking God why ??

I read my Bible prayed. I don't have Prayerful friends unfortunately, or Friends that are burning for the things of the Lord as I desire to be .

So I did my usual alternative which was to pick up my phone and come to this thread.

I do that often when such things happen and I am down in the Spirit, I browse the thread, and even if I don't contribute on that day, I just read and read the Empowering messages here, ...and by the time I leave this thread I Somehow find enough strength to Cast the devil behind.

That is how strong this thread is for me . It reassures me that I'm not alone,
that what I am trying to do, that there are people out there doing it every single day and wining every single time!

So I always pick myself up and move on.

So imagine my fear when I came to the thread today after my attack, and saw that the thread was about to come to an end, woww, I was like.

'No Lord this can't be!' I have no other Spiritual friends that I share my beautiful moments with and share my struggles in my Spiritual growth journey.

To answer your question. The floating in the dream could be one or two things occurring that reflect a present situation in your life. But since you keep dreaming this over and over again, then it's likely "Astral Projection", and is not actually a dream.

You're either astral projecting (out of body experience) and you're not even aware of it.
This is most likely what is happening. But you will need to find out why this keeps happening.


Though there are dreams where a person might fly and it would be a good thing representing "Spiritual Elevation". And there is a kind of flying that reveals "Witchcraft" in a person. So you see... It really depends on the current happenings in your life.

CharlyG is there a way to reach you yet? Apart from your email that is probably extremely full by now.

Even if it is to have a separate WhatsApp group for some of us that already feel like family.

You could appoint someone you trust from the thread to create it . And the rest of us could find a way to send our WhatsApp contact to that person.


As it is WhatsApp, any infiltrating agent of darkness can be blocked Asap. Unlike here where we can't block the evil ones.

I can't explain how much this thread had done for my spiritual growth.

I am not saying we should create the group to continue sharing Spiritual experiences or stories, ......( Only if a person wants to)

But for us to continue learning from each other and growing in the Lord by leading each other to Christ with our little knowledge with Christ.

As it would be a closed group we can even share more personal things about our life's there if we want prayers about them . ... But we will try to make it more about Growing in Christ!!!

Please let's do this!! You can never have enough Christian friends!!!

The person should create a new Gmail email address for this purpose to avoid the persons personal email to be too full. ( Creating a Gmail takes like 5 seconds)

The person can use the email to create a nairaland moniker which he or she will tell us what the moniker will be with his familiar Account moniker, before doing so.

This is because email request sent through nairaland would tell you who the email is from.

E.g, Perra is requesting to send you an email.

That is why the person would use the email to create a new moniker and tell us before hand and still confirm it with his Known moniker that he/she is the one .

This way you can confirm a person that wants to be added to the group by simply checking to see if the person is one of the idiots polluting this thread.
Anyone Who wants to be added will send an email request with their normal nairaland account. No one can hide.

Anyone that tries to use a new Account that is not traceable on Nairaland to send request will be ignored. You must be traceable.

Honestly you spoke my mind. Been wanting to suggest this @CharlyG1. It's time this thread, moves to another level. With whatsapp we could really have a quality time of fellowship, without any infiltration or interference. With whatsapp you hold the knife and the meat of control, you regulate whatever happens within the group. I consider myself lucky to have found this thread from the day it all started, ever since I have been following relentlessly. I haven't really shared my experiences though, I pray for grace to do so soon. I never envisaged this thread would still be alive, but here it is, still waxing stronger and changing lives positively to the glory of God. Meanwhile, let's wait for God's direction, if He wills for us to have another Platform, so be it.

Concerning the moving this thread to WhatsApp group, that will be a very very very bad idea. That move will result to the end of this thread. That move will hinder the work of God.

CharleyG1 just pray about it. Pray deep down, then you will realize what I mean.

It's a long story and I can't explain it, but let's please pray about it and you'll know why. God himself will confirm it to you.

But all those who brought the idea, God bless you so much. It's a wonderful and nice idea, but that isn't what God has in plan for this thread.

This thread was meant to be here, on the web, on nl. That was the original purpose of the most high and he still has not changed his mind (I'm very sure)

Let's be truthful here:

What happens to most threads on Nairaland when their creator/author drops? Or leaves? ......it ends slowly......maybe not at once, but quietly and slowly it ends.
Now, I am speaking from my own personal view.

Have you ever created a thread on Nairaland? If yes, What happened to it when you(the creator) stopped following it up? Other people kept it moving with the full Purpose you had when you created it? Yes?

did they turn it to something else?
Did it become an argument ground? Or did it slowly die off ?

CharlyG was used to create the thread and somehow he has been the 'super-glue' holding the thread together all these years, and if he announces that he will soon be leaving I don't know about you but my own spirit kinda told me silently that the mission of this thread has been completed. ( I may be wrong, but that's just how I felt deep down).

So what was I trying to do by suggesting a WhatsApp group?

I am not saying the thread should move to WhatsApp and continue there no, no, no.

It is a WhatsApp group of believers that found themselves on a thread in Nairaland, that shared their wins and their struggles in their Christian growth,
That have learnt from each other and have been a constant source of encouragement to each other during their trying times in their spiritual growth.

I am saying that there is nothing wrong with wanting to sustain or continue this Christian friendships that has been formed from a place of burning desire for Christ.

If I have sustained friendships of worldly people during my life as a young woman, where all we did was talk about Rihanna and the latest Pop music, then why won't I want to sustain a group of friends that would lead me to Christ continually on a daily basis.

I don't know what the WhatsApp group will be about, but it would Definitely be about growing in Christ .
And like CharlyG said before, there would be praying and fasting concerning it .

Overall it is God that would take the lead because he can clearly see that the group was created for the purpose of growing more in him and nothing else.


Or if you all prefer, there would be no WhatsApp group, ..and CharlyG leaves and moves on to his new assignment in the Lord .. eventually other people would move on too and continue in their personal growth And we all move on

Good morning house,, I hope by God's grace we are all fine.

I think the creation of a WhatsApp group will be fine. We all learn each day and WhatsApp can help us connect to one another quickly and easily.
It will also be quick to share pictures, books, short videos and important infos that concerns and effects children of God.
It will also give a sense of an idea of having a friend of believers who are connected together under a WhatsApp platform with the mindset of growing, learning and improving in their spiritual life, and walk with the Lord.

But Whatsapp group should not be the end of this thread. But rather a tonic to the thread.

This thread is on the web. So it is accessible anywhere worldwide and can be viewed by millions worldwide simulataneously (this Whatsapp can't do). The thread contains more data space, and more space to air ones view. In other words it is more important than WhatsApp group and can't even be compared to it. So the thread is not supposed to die off, because of WhatsApp group.

Nonetheless, WhatsApp group will be nice if it can be created for the purpose of this thread. It's a nice idea.

I am absolutely against a Whattsapp group formation. This thread is more than a thread. It is a place intimately created by the Holy Ghost in a very dynamic way. To some it is a Cozy den, to others a family dinning table where everyone can gather around the table and , eat, get messy, get full, etc. A place of no shame but comfortably allowing all to come as they are. A fakeless place. Not like the church these days. Thus to others it is a be-yourself-church.


Some may see it as an ER. An immediate place of response to an urgent care be it with a bleeding internally or externally. Or a place to see a General Practitioner, or a Fellow(Fellowship if I dare say as many hear answer expertly difficult answers that some can't find elsewhere). It embodies every need and a tool specifically tailored to meet each of our needs: be it dire, benign, casual etc. And to others a place of Holy Ghost comedy platform in the way some of us share our posts.


My Deliverance begun here. It wasn't tucked away on another social media. And I so so glad that it was here on the internet. Please let's keep this opened. How can future visitors read what we post on other platforms. Who would have thought we'd have come this far? This far!

Someone suggested Telegram to be a much better alternative since it eliminates all the con that would be experienced with whatsapp - - and I agree with him/her.
