Former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party were not mentally prepared for the defeat they suffered during the April general elections, President Muhammadu Buhari has said.
Buhari said this in Abuja on Monday in a keynote address titled the Challenges of Transition in Nigeria and the Imperatives for a New Framework at an event on Strengthening Nigeria’s Transition
Framework for Democratic Consolidation organised by the National Democratic Institute.
The president who was represented at the event by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said as a result of lack of mental preparedness, the government of Jonathan could not put the structures necessary for transition in place and this nearly led to a national crisis.
At the event, Minister of Youths and Sports, Mr.Solomon Lalung, said the transition committee set up by Buhari was offered only N20m which was turned
down because it was inadequate to take care of its expenses.
Buhari said, “Our experience in the last transition process was unique despite the fact that we have held many general elections and transitioned from one government to another. Indeed, the last election heralded the first real transition in the history of our nation, being the first time that an opposition party will sweep the ruling party out of power.

The issue here is not about PDP or GEJ anymore, the issue is about Buhari and Apc giving Nigeria good governance. Since assumption in office, all we here from buhari has been noise and no action. More people are losing their jobs, Investors are moving to other countries, no light, no Fuel the list is endless. Apc should use more of its time in to fulfill its campaign promises instead of attacking PDP.

Thank God even Buhari realise that a winner is a winner all the times. Why should a winner all the time prepare to lose? One thing Buhari said right for once

The choice of Lai Mohammed as the Minister of Information is plausible. He has started giving the headaches as usual. The best Minister of Information we would ever have would be Lai Mohammed.

APC is more mentally unprepared for the victory they illegally got cuz PMB was more shocked when he was congratulated than GEJ who knew he lost.
Every move by this government confirms that their opposition mentality is still predominant in their thoughts with fight at every step of the way, show of shame in the NASS and the eventual selection of "noise makers" as ministers whom PMB termed "saints" ridiculing himself and the party before committee of nations. TSA scandal at the early stage of this new administration within 2 months of TSA some people had made 22bill from doing nothing.
