As long as the trains are not there, haulaging wll be a cash cow. Like all businesses it has to be properly controlled and managed.
10 trucks is big   business. You can attach them to companies or find a spot for yourselves somewhere. You can be sure of business,
they will come. I f you  specialise on moving cows from the North and Palm oil to the North, you will be tired of money. I f you attach
them to blue ships like NBL, you will get the same result. There is no way you can lose, but control, control, control.
One of you can move down to Nigeria to manage the biz. Before you  know it, you would have grown an octopus.

       Good luck.

For anybody looking for high quality and reliable trailer heads direct from Europe, please go to http://www.rydertrucks.biz . They have very good trucks for very good price, the trailer heads have already been imported and are in Lagos. For example, I bought a very neat DAF 85CF 430hp from them for less than 3million, and it was not right-hand drive! I recommend them for anyone looking to buy a trailer head soon.

Haulage business should be viable in Nigeria, because based on the adverts you see everday on the pages of newspaper, you see companies requesting for the services of haulage companies. but i think for you to do well in this business you need to monitor the drivers,so they dont make all the money at your own expense, and you can always do that by using vehicle tracking system, that gives you the movement history up to a month of where and where your truck has been to and how long it was packed, when it worked and the states or locations it has been to, with this you can save cost, fuel consumption, loss of time etc. For more info call: 08035799155.

Haulage biz alt to be a viable biz in Nigeria. But among so many factors militating against the smooth running of haulage biz, is the driver factor. It takes a man of integrity to tell you the actual situation of things when you are not there. Take for instance, you call your driver trying to find out where he is and he tells you that he is in Kogi state, meanwhile he is in Ibadan. One of the ways of not making yourself a victim of "MONKEY DEY WORK, BABOON DEY CHOP" is through the use of AVL-RT(AUTOMATED VEHICLE LOCATOR-REAL TIME). Sincerely answer this question, DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR VEHICLE IS RIGHT NOW, WITHOUT MAKING ANY FORM OF CALLS WHATEVER TO ANY PERSON WHETHER LIVING OR DEAD?
The use of AVL-RT delivers the following benefits:
a. Increased productivity
b. Reduced operational- saves cost
c. Improved customer service
d. Theft reduction.
e. Saves time-faster in operation.
f. Enhanced security for both driver and vehicle-Speed control, you set the speed limit if you wish.
g. Historical route-displays where the vehicle has been the previous day/weeks
h. Reduce private use-reduction of unauthorised use of vehicle during non working hours.
i. Time card validation-Owners can know when drivers arrive and leave job site.
j. reduced fleet cost
k. Low power consumption
l. Peace of mind

For more info call: 08035799155,08094268721. Or visit our office at Allen Avenue, Ikeja.
