you might think that was a smart/cheeky move but he could have fallen for the scam by simply replying. Some scams are based on you responding because by replying you unwittingly subscribe to the service at a premium rate or pay for a text message at a premium rate.....and that premium rate txt is all they actually want from you. When you find your service provider deducting N100 from your balance evry month and you don't know why, think about the unsolicited txt message you responded to. All because you thought you were a sharp guy Con artists just like street magicians work because they divert your attention, you think he is trying to dupe you by promising you 750K but in reality all the fraudster wants is exactly what the guy did, for him to be so outraged that he replies. Once you reply (for whatever reason) the network automatically credits him so who's the fool? |
