This is purely engineering and not politics. During the campaign era, I was part of those that faulted Buhari's policies on power. His policies were not realistical and lacks logic from the engineering point of view.

Before one come up with any policy, he/she must first look at the possible factors that might hamper or promote the generation oof energy but this man was the opposite.

Nigerian really needs true transformation and not change... Jonathan and the then minister for power at each point always spoke the truth and also keep Nigerians abreast with the realities on ground when It comes to power generation... but the then opposition always come in with all sort of propagandas and mis-information showing Nigerians the weakness of the president and not acknowledging the strength...

Nigerians voted for change at the expense of transformation

So somehow, the new administration has managed to lay its hands on a copy of the same book of broken promises and hollow excuses that the previous administration also relied upon.
It's becoming clearer with each passing day that Nigerian politicians are all the same, no matter what party they claim to represent. That is why cross-carpeting comes so naturally to all of them.
The real battle-line in this country is not PDP v APC. It is WE the ordinary people who just want to get on with life against our lazy and parasitic political class who are intent on stealing our commonwealth.
We need a revolution.

Previous administration made a very serious impact on nigeria power installations;
i. She built power stations,
ii. improved our already existing power stations with all of it at comatose or almost comatose state
iii. made the greatest impact on power distribution since the history of nigeria especially on the national electricity grid
iv. laid a strong power/electricity foundation through relivant programmes and policies
v. Built many gas stations/pipeline to feed most of the new station which were gas powered
vi. and many more
The only thing that is left for APC lead government is to improve on what the past administration has laid on ground not this stories and travelling.

Whats the impact of all thie lies u wrote up thete on the power sector?.
Was there there any damn improvement. For 6 years. ..someone kept repeating same saboteurs. What was dobe about it.
This is a serious government. ..and not some 6 years excusing government. Its just 6 months. ..u still have 8 solid years to do this...Unfortunately, things would have been better and you will be forced to admit. Your Buhari's failure wish...will never come to pass. Sorry grin

If BH bombs now...una go absorb GEJ. .shout buhari. Clowns of life
dear friend i am not one of those that stick to the stinking political affliction or whatever, I pray day and night for the betterment of my people and the country at large. Trust me if buhari takes actions worthy of praises i will be the first to give it to him but hiding under propaganda to claim successful should not be tolerated by anyone.
For you saying gej didn't perform in last 6year in-terms of putting up relivant policies and programs, power installations, generation and distributions shows you believe all these power improvement started in the last six months in turn shows how unstable you are. Shouting you will do this for the next 8 years seem to be how you hide your devious selves from disgrace.

I read the news this morning, and I remembered having a convo with you in this regard.
I had argued then that GEJ met stiff opposition from Saboteurs and you asked me what did he do about them?

Why is Buhari complaining of the same thing?
What is his body language doing about the epilepsy we're experiencing in the petroleum and power sector?
Why hasn't he taken a drastic action against these folks?
Since the head is good, why is the body misbehaving?

In your senseless bid to defend Buhari, you ended up making a big fool out of yourself. These are inherent problems we all know that has been bedeviling the Nation since the past decades, rather than enumerating these problems, Buhari should have stated his plans not repeating what we all know.

Its more than 6 months since Buhari came to power, yet he is still blaming the past administration. Nigerians are suffering, you can imagine buying a litre of fuel for #350, no light and we keep hearing same stories. It is our collective responsibility to hold the government when things start going bad. We can't continue to defend them when we know that all things are not equal. This is a typical example of Fela's adage; Suffering and smiling. We must call a spade a spade.

GEJ received the heat when he was there, so Buhari must be on his toes

Shut up there! Fix problem which GEJ created? Are you sane at all? After all efforts GEJ made in improving power production and supply with the building and commissioning of several power plants, you open your mouth and talk this trash.
Was power production in GEJ's time worse than it was in Obasanjo's time? If no, then how come it was GEJ that created the problem.
As for the economy being in a bad shape, is GEJ the cause of the drop in crude price? All crude oil dependent economies are struggling now, including the mighty Russia, yet you're talking rubbish.
I'm sure that after 4 years of Buhari's tenure, you will still be blaming GEJ for Buhari's failure.

Hmmm.. Sabotage and theft undermining power supply- Buhari, says Fashola to begin work on Lagos-Ibadan expressway next week

Read the press statement from the presidency below...
President Muhammadu Buhari has identified sabotage and theft of gas as factors undermining the efforts of the government to increase power supply in the country. To tackle the problem, the President announced that existing Military Task-Forces will be reorganized to ensure a successful protection of the network of gas pipelines.

The President, who said this Tuesday in a question-and-answer interaction with the Nigerian community in Tehran, the Islamic Republic of Iran, noted that "although some improvement in power had been recorded in the recent period," sabotage of pipeline installations continued to be a problem. He told his audience that Nigeria had everything it takes to generate enough power.

"Power is a running battle because the saboteurs are still there. We have the potential. We have gas, we have qualified people but we are contending with a lot of saboteurs who go and blow up installations. When gas is pumped to Egbin and such other power stations, thieves and saboteurs such as the militants cut those supplies," President Buhari said.

He also cited another factor as the reduced role of the government in the sector due to the privatization of the institutions under the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, in the process of which, he said, the facilities "have been sold to a number of interest groups." He assured that the Military Task-Forces with representation from the Army, Navy, Air Force, the Police and other security agencies will be reconstituted to secure the pipelines.

"Supplies will become steady; there will be less sabotage as we secure the pipelines," he stressed. President Buhari also updated the Nigerians in Tehran on the efforts of his administration towards ending the Boko Haram insurgency and terrorism in the country, explaining that a lot had been achieved following the reorganization of the military top command, followed by increased equipment supply and training. In a response to a question on the need to improve healthcare delivery, the President said that efforts had been intensified towards ridding the country of fake drugs and fake doctors, and also what he called "the disgraceful aspects" manifested by "baby factories."

He also enumerated several steps being taken towards the revival of education from primary school level to university. On the creation of jobs, he placed the prevailing joblessness in the country at the door-step of the last administration which he blamed for giving "a devastating blow to the economy through corruption and incompetence."

The President said that something urgent will be done about the bad condition of roads, citing the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway as one to be addressed from next week by the Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, who sat next to him at the meeting. Speaking on the issue of corruption, one of the three issues he identified as the priorities of his administration, President Buhari said that the necessity for compliance with due process of the law was responsible for the delay in the prosecution of the looters of the country's economy.

He noted however, that the "the day of reckoning is gradually coming." He also revealed that a number of past officials had begun the voluntary return of stolen funds but expressed the view that his government was not satisfied with tokens."We want to have everything back – all that they took by force in 16 years," the President concluded.

You are obviously the most pained bigot. Anytime Buhari is criticized you wail more than the wailers. Keep wailing fooool! As long as Buhari remains the President of Nigeria, I will continue to speak out on any issue that is not being done well. As for Fayose, there is no comparison among his SW counterparts. He is the most active Governor. Not because of party affiliation, I am very proud to be associated with him.
