This vuvuzhela of a thing has started creating problems for Tv viewers and even players.
I don't think FIFA can do anything about this although they say they will look into it
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by Cristalz(f): 8:12am On Jun 18, 2009

Cristalz:

NZ were too poor
they played good football against Italy and i think Spain was just too much for them
I was thinking they would win the game against SA.
I'm not impressed with the SA team, i'm waiting to see the African Champions play today cheesy
SA is not thru yet, Iraq mite qualify if they can beat NZ by 2 goals
And SA conceding 2 against Spain.

FBS:

he said NZ will beat the freak out of SA. I hope he didn't place a bet on it. cheesy

This SA team are not good enough.
The have only met a weak team.
Though i am glad they won the match against NZ,
but they behaved foolishly by playing to the gallery after 70 mins.
Who are they really trying to prove points to?
Do they think Iraq can not beat NZ 3 goals to nil?
They may not make it to the next round if Iraq score 3 goals.

I expected them to score more to brighten their chances.
But the half baked team began to display skills when only goals count.

To me they are as far from Semis as they seems close to it.
Sio.

FBS,

Who scored?
Maicon seems to be US name.
Or is it Brazilian?
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by aieromon(m): 3:16pm On Jun 18, 2009
Goal by Felipe Melo of Fiorentina from a free kick taken by Maicon
Re: FIFA Confederations Cup: South Africa '09 Official Thread by FBS: 3:16pm On Jun 18, 2009
The match is on a very good pace. Maicon is an imposing figure on the right flank.
Brazil go close again. .

As regards the article about vuvuzela, me thinks it probably sounds better and more coordinated and rhythmic when you are in the stadia. Watching on the TV and listening to the 'bee" song is simply annoying. Should it be banned?

Alonso is very stupid for the comments he made. How come did vuvuzela did not affect them when they spanked NZ? I like the player but the man is very stupid if actually he made those comments.

Spain midfielder Xabi Alonso said: "I think they should be banned. They make it very difficult for the players to communicate with each other and to concentrate.

"They are a distraction and do nothing for the atmosphere," he added after his team's 1-0 win over Iraq.
